@angelobodetti Thanks. Yeah that's the one I found after you mentioned one existed. I downloaded it and changed the music. So thanks for the tip. I was only looking in the Playlist download area. Completely forgot to check the Games Theme Videos.

@CTRL-ALT-DEFEAT

I have a bit of an backwards kind-of request...

I'd love to start making videos like this (for playlists, games, etc;) I already have Premiere Pro and After Effects, but I was wondering if you knew of any tutorials that would help (since I doubt you want to teach me all the different tools and such). I do have a basic understanding of the program, I'd just like to know what specifically you think might help.

And any places where I can get hi-res art for the videos (mainly character cut-outs/pixel art).

@MrAwesomeFalcon

Yeah, awesome!

For tutorials, I recommend:

Video Co-Pilot. These guys are pros and make a lot of motion graphics for movies/TV. They sell a bunch of plugins for After Effects (most of which are pretty spendy), but they also show you how to do a lot of the stuff with what is already built-in to After Effects, which is pretty incredible. Most everything is really easy to follow, but some of the tutorials do require an intermediate understanding of how After Effects works. Youtube channel link below:

I don't use these as much, but I'd also check out Kriscoart, Mt Mograph and RiverCityGraphix. Channel links below:

For the art work, all of it is from Google image searches. Sometimes you'll be able to find character art already in PNG format with an alpha channel (background transparency), but frequently you'll have to use a wallpaper or something else and cut it out yourself.

@JamesBaker actually put up a few tutorials himself and the first one covers exactly how to do this in Photo Shop. If you don't have Photo Shop/don't want to pay for it, you can also use GIMP, which is free and is what I used for the last several years (only recently upgraded my Creative Cloud license to include all of Adobe's software). However, the pen tool in Photo Shop is significantly more powerful for cutting out images than the Fuzzy Select tool in GIMP is.

Jame's channel link below:

If you decide to just go with GIMP for now, I can tell you how to use the Fuzzy Select.

Hope this gets you going!

Maybe it's fun to create a NES / SNES classic playlist with a theme video of the device and games on it. For people who didn't got one and still want toen play the classic collection...

Hey @CTRL-ALT-DEFEAT:)

I was wondering if are you still making playlist themes? if you are my friend I have a couple of requests if your interested

  • Disney
  • Looney Tunes
  • The Simpsons

;)

I can definitely add those to my list. I've been trying to get PS2 and PC game themes done, so those are what I'm focusing on at the moment.

I've also got Shining Force collection, Virtua Fighter collection and Shmups collection themes planned.

However, that Looney Toons one sounded like fun, so I did get something started for it :D:

Muted the music so it would render quicker for the preview. Should have this one done pretty soon.

Thanks @CTRL-ALT-DEFEAT I now have Looney Tunes Collection on my machine. It is interesting seeing how many games there are. I must say I would have never thought to add this playlist, but I am happy to see it on the machine. Thanks again and thanks @BlueArrowUK for making the request.
