launchretrogirl2562 Posted Saturday at 07:14 PM Posted Saturday at 07:14 PM @MysterNybble LaunchBox, where was I? Part 2: LaunchBox no longer jumps to the first platform when a plugin refreshes the library during startup. Tried, tested and confirmed working correctly again ☺️ Quote

Badges: List view badges in the Default theme finally have tooltips, and wheel/yoke badges show the controller's name and support level in LaunchBox and Big Box. 100% on both of these! (at least for LaunchBox. Didn't test in Big Box) Thank you! Quote

damageinc86 Posted Monday at 12:54 AM Posted Monday at 12:54 AM (edited) Just on the off chance this is a beta issue: So I just had to import/add a new Arcade game into my Arcade platform, so I added my Override Default Startup Screen Settings, to duplicate what my entire platform has: So,...only on the freshly imported two new games I've added to the platform does it now completely fade out the start up screen (theme) all the way to black,...then wait for retroarch to start up, and retroarch takes over as usual. With EVERY other game that was existing and has these same exact override settings that I set about a year ago,...the start up screen (theme) remains up the entire time as it usually has done, all the way until retroarch takes over. So for some reason, on a freshly imported game, set to the same override settings,...it fades out to complete black wayyyy before retroarch takes over, and I have no idea how to fix it to behave like it should and has for every other game in the platform. I don't remember this happening before on any new imports,...Any help? Is this a new beta issue? i dunno. I'm at a loss. ****EDIT: Looks like Post-launch time is actually affecting the launch duration that the startup screen is being shown for. Which doesn't make sense, since that's what the Startup Load Delay should be affecting. If i set it to .02 seconds, it shows the startup screen that quickly, then fades to black,...and waits the allotted startup delay (7.125 seconds) duration and then shows the emulator. If I set the Post-Launch Display time to 5 seconds, then it shows the startup screen for 5 seconds, fades to black, and then waits for the emulator for the 7.125 seconds. It didn't behave like this before. Edited Monday at 04:07 PM by damageinc86 Quote
Madhead Posted Tuesday at 09:07 PM Posted Tuesday at 09:07 PM @MysterNybble Sorry it's taken a while, but I was looking for the right opportunity to see if the issue was still persisting. Any way, I decided to update the disc images for the PS2 with a new media pack I downloaded. I did this by deleting all the images in the LaunchBox PS2 disc image folder and replacing them with the updated ones straight from the zip file. All was well, and when I clicked back into LaunchBox I could see the empty grid slots populate (had them in cart view). However some of them were still displaying the old disc images so I selected all with Ctrl + A and pressed F5 to refresh. Upon doing so I found that one of the disc images I just there added had already corrupted, presumably right after refreshing. Once I saw that, I immediately closed LaunchBox and went into the Log folder and copied the latest Debug, MediaEngine and Client logs into an archive along with earlier versions of those files to see if you could notice any anomalies. I've also included the corrupted disc image along with the in tact image I originally copied over, may be of some help, may not be. It's there anyway. Thanks. Logs (Corrupted Images).zip Quote
steviem007 Posted Tuesday at 10:33 PM Posted Tuesday at 10:33 PM (edited) Some badges are not showing. e.g. Multiple Disc games and Multiple version games are not displaying badges when checked. This has been an issue as far as I can see since v14.0 was released. Edited Tuesday at 10:34 PM by steviem007 Quote

No more wrong platforms being saved. 👍 I've noticed an issue with videos and a fallback image when going between a game wheel and game details screen after the introduction of the feature in beta 3 where videos recall and continue their playback position when changing between screens. When I change between these two screens the video's image is disappearing for a moment, and showing a fallback image in that moment. Same thing happens going from game details and returning to the game wheel. I have made video clips for an example. The example includes a customized version of Colorful as well as the official (not modified) version available through the frontend. Fallback image properties include only being visible if the game's video file does not exist. It otherwise works fine but the fallback image is being improperly triggered during these transitions. Custom Colorful theme ex: Big Box Video Fallback Image Bug.mp4 OFFICIAL Colorful theme ex: Big Box Colorful Official Video Fallback Bug.mp4 This next bit is technically related to last version betas...... is videos still do not really start at their start. Playback start is cut off just enough it is noticeable in a negative way. This is one of the most obvious examples I can find since it's speech rather than music. Should be able to hear clearly "PEGI 18" (peggy eighteen) by the announcer but instead all you hear is "i 18" (e eighteen). The fade or whatever is being done to the start of videos is still too aggressive and would appreciate seeing this resolved to play videos and their audio in full without a noticeable cutoff. Video ex: Big Box Video Start Cutoff.mp4 Testing done on Windows 10 using custom and official versions of Colorful Dark theme. VLC and experimental check box setting used for media playback. i9-9900k and RX 6900 XT. Using controller, xinput, Xbox One controller to be specific for navigation.
