  1. Fairly certain we already have this in our DB as well, though I admit I have no idea how many submissions it is before the flag is enabled.
  2. MAME should already be being skipped by the auto-import so we'll have to investigate and see if we can replicate and get that corrected.
  3. I just put the features in I'm told to. As of right now I don't believe that was on the roadmap, but you could submit a feature request and the team could evaluate it and make a decision on whether they think adding it makes sense.
  4. Thanks for making the attempt. Faeran has it on the stack of things to look at, hopefully we can get you an answer as to what's going on and any potential work arounds.
  5. Apologies no one reached out sooner. If you run into issues like this in the future and need an official response it's generally better to email support@unbrokensoftware.com . Unfortunately things do sometimes get overlooked in the shuffle of an active forum. I did just check your report and am able to replicate your issue and will have it put on the list of things to look into.
  6. Could you try updating to the beta and see if that resolves your issue? Can enable those updates by going to Tools > Options and the page that says Update (or something similar) checking the box that says to enable beta updates.
  7. If the new search feature is on, yes. If you want to search for something that isn't a title or alt title you need to enter the tag first. So if you were wanting adventure games you'd search "genre:adventure" (without quotes). Partial strings DO work so you could have typed "genre:adv" (without quotes) to get the list as well. As to why, because we've been asked for years to make search be a title search only. We felt like it was a bit limiting before, but now that we have the ability to insert tags like that we felt we could add enough functionality to warrant the change. If you prefer the old search syntax/functionality you can enable it in LaunchBox by going to Tools > Options > Search and disabling the advanced syntax.
  8. PC Automated imports was moved since this state. You'd now go to Tools > Manage > Storefronts to disable the setting.
  9. As @skizzosjt suggested this appears to be an issue reading one of your image files. If you notice in your screenshot there is one that is all black, which generally means it failed to fill in the pixels from file. I'd review the files you have for that game. Easiest would just be to delete them and re-grab media (assuming the game in question is in the DB)
  10. So it turns out in my excitement to get you all the translations with plenty of time for review that I MAY have jumped the gun a bit. Due to some issues discovered in beta testing there are a handful of new strings that were not present when I first pinged everyone. I apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience. Re-pinging everyone so no one wastes any additional time on the old files. Those that have previously submitted translations could you review the new files and send updated ones. I didn't add the ones you gave in because I'm admittedly still learning all the nuances of the process and didn't want to break anything for you all moving forward. @Opak @Kondorito @Cauptain @Nyny77 @dukeemu @cyanjiang @Just001Kim @MajKSA @gamehacker @alexposad @k_kutsugi @Bardock @Soomin papa @thewhite
  11. ah it is, good call. I'll see if the team can get that updated and I'll let you know once done.
  12. Quick Filter filters based on if the game or any app in a game is from a storefront. Auto Populate playlists can filter based on whether the main game is/isn't in that storefront or whether any app is from a given store front or not as well. What are you trying to accomplish that you are having a hard time with?
  13. Same way the current ROM importer does. Will do it's best to remove all the data in parens/brackets and then do a search based on the filename string that's left.
  14. Translations should be ready for the 13.12 release for those willing and able to assist. Tagging translators as requested: @Opak @Kondorito @Cauptain @Nyny77 @dukeemu @cyanjiang @Just001Kim @MajKSA @gamehacker @alexposad @k_kutsugi @Bardock @Soomin papa @thewhite
  15. That error indicates the theme is using a converter not in your version of LaunchBox/Big Box.
  16. Code changes have been made that should appear in the next beta release to correct. Epic changed their login screen and is using bad captcha code. We were able to make a change to help get around that issue thankfully.
  17. Nice catch. I added the data to the backend and started the process to get the data files updated. May take a bit to complete, but should be ready to go once done.
  18. The RAHasher app was updated to make this possible and is packaged in the next version of LaunchBox. Beta version should be out sometime this week and you can test to ensure it's working for you then.
  19. Reads to me like the JSON file we are getting from GOG is malformed. Could you PM me your GOG profile name and I can take a look at the return and see if I can replicate.
  20. Restoring a backup doesn't really require ANY tech savvy. The following steps can be used in those circumstances: Delete the existing Data folder in entirety Open LaunchBox Run the restore backup process, selecting the one you want to restore to If they are having problems remembering those steps can probably create a small ReadMe.txt file for them in that folder. No app or upgrade processes are setup to remove files from that location so you wouldn't need to worry about it getting removed by us.
  21. The post I linked directly above you gives you those steps on how to find and install the newest version.
  22. The videos you are referring to are called "Theme Videos" and can be grabbed during import or by using the "Download Metadata and Media Wizard". They are hosted by EmuMovies and so to grab them from LaunchBox you DO need to have an active EmuMovies license and your credentials entered into LaunchBox. Once that is done run either tool and in the page where you select EmuMovies media to grab I believe the Theme Videos typically are the bottom most row. Make sure to check that box. For the theme to use them you may also need to go to Options inside of LaunchBox and change your Video Priorities so that Theme Videos have a higher priority than gameplay videos. Once that is done you should see something similar to the YouTube screenshot you're showing. The other discrepancy you see is the marquee. They downloaded Arcade - Marquee images and you have not so the theme is falling back to manually creating one with a blurred background and your clear logo.
  23. If you have the old data files backed up (LaunchBox does it automatically and sticks it in \\LaunchBox\Backups unless disabled) you can just use one of those backup files to restore all your data by deleting everything in \\LaunchBox\Data and then extracting the data from that backup into the folder. With media you have two options. You can just place the media in the correct folder and as long as the title hasn't changed they will just work. We also now have a image pack import that can be used to import packs of media like you have. We have a tutorials playlist on our YouTube channel, and do release videos for every release where we try to give a short guide on how to use a new feature. You should be able to find almost everything you need from either source. If you don't feel free to ask on the forums or reach out to support@unbrokensoftware.com Simply means you have the rare opportunity to rediscover the app as a new user. Not many people have that new user experience twice, the gratification of discovering different little things you, up until now, may not have been sure were even there! That being said that same experience very easily can result in feeling overwhelmed, and if it gets to that point feel free to reach out with any questions.
  24. I'd reach out to support@unbrokensoftware.com and explain your use case. Could potentially get a data dump of the data that you can then peruse and use locally without the need for much manual navigation in the first place.
