I've not personally ever added that emulator, you could try our tutorial and verify the settings in Edit Emulator match yours.
-
You have games imported to a platform named "All". Close LaunchBox, go to \\LaunchBox\Data\Platforms\ and delete All.xml and then re-open LaunchBox.
-
Other than MAME full set importer LaunchBox is completely agnostic regarding what you're passing in. When you run the import for the first time on a platform in the last page of the import where it lists the games about to be imported. Are you seeing the number you expect to there or no?
-
No bother at all.
-
As @skizzosjt is eluding to, if you want each ROM file to import to a distinct game inside of LaunchBox you need to uncheck "Combine games..." in the import wizard. By default it's on and will condense multiple game versions into one master record.
-
Are you attempting to do so by editing the XAML file yourself, or are you attempting to do so in the CTC?
-
I spoke directly to the individual at RetroAchievements regarding the issue. While it's true the games play in the emulator when created that way (and it prefers it) the application RetroAchievements distributes to hash files cannot hash these because a dependency of that application doesn't yet. For right now there's not a lot we can do regarding getting these files hashed. Once that app is updated we'll get it updated in the application.

Larger additional apps menu with smaller text?
C-Beats replied to chinagreenelvis's topic in Big Box Custom Themes
Not sure what version the name was changed. Been like that since 2021 -
@seaview59 and @JereBear I believe use an AI upscaler for clear logo requests. @DOS76 may know of one given I know he was working at restoring some digital comics a while back.
-
Can you provide the name of the game, it's application path, and the video filename?
-
I doubt this is theme related. This is related to the preview image the video player creates in the control from what I can tell. Sounds like you have a malformed video on some of your games and when the app is attempting to load it fails a bit more spectacularly than it should.

LaunchBox Always Keep Sub Platforms Expanded Question
C-Beats replied to PotatoPower159's topic in Features
You can't make LaunchBox remember how they were expanded before, but you could alter the theme so that the items all start expanded instead of starting collapsed.- 3 replies

Many Images No Longer Linking To Games - HELP!
C-Beats replied to jrusso4587's topic in Troubleshooting
If you select the game(s) in question and press F5 do the images return? -
Not entirely sure when you saw the issue and how long you've been holding out updating. We have moved in not so recent past to a newer version of .NET and it's possible it was corrected in that move. We haven't intentionally touched any code to make that difference, but I'll take the accidental win ;D
-
No logic was intentionally changed. Can you go to Manage Platforms and verify that platform's video folder wasn't accidentally changed?

''Error trying to search local database''

Can you take a picture of the full error window that appears? It has information pretty vital to be able to track down any potential causes for what you're seeing. -
Larger additional apps menu with smaller text?
C-Beats replied to chinagreenelvis's topic in Big Box Custom Themes
Fairly certain the file you want to alter is the SelectOptionPopupView. Should be able to make the modifications you want in there. -
Updated the attached files. PS2 is now complete. I also redid the Series field. It now only has a value in it for games in an actual series. If the game series is on multiple platforms each platform has it's own distinct series value. The idea being that if you start the series on a platform and want to continue it on that platform you simply have to dig into the series to see what is next for that series and platform. A new custom field has been added called "Franchise". This is for games that are all under the same IP/Franchise but aren't an actual game series. All Mario games for example fall into the Mario franchise but aren't in a series (games like Mario Sunshine, ARE part of the franchise but IS NOT a part of a series). Unsure at this point if I'm going to work on a few more custom fields or get started on my next platform (not sure which I'll tackle either).

With LaunchBox closed can you go to \\LaunchBox\Images\ and delete the Cache-LB folder then restart LaunchBox and see if that corrects. I know that is a call we've had issues with in the past and have added code to help with several times over the last few releases. May be worthwhile to grab the latest beta as I believe that one has a few more that may correct this for you.
-
This typically indicates you already have these games imported. I'd double check and make sure that isn't the case here. A lot of the times this confusion happens when a platform has all their games hidden. I'd check your hide settings in the View menu and make sure you don't have an auto-hide setting (like games missing box fronts) enabled that may be causing the confusion.

If you look in your data files do the games not have a hash assigned (would be listed as COULDNTFILEHASH) or do they just not have a RetroAchievements Id assigned? If you're unsure PM me the data file for the platform in question. I can't promise I can do much about it since that is all third party code, but would give me more information I need to reach out to third parties to ask for guidance. EDIT: Just looked and as of right now there hasher app doesn't actually support -createdvd CHDs so this may be a limitation of RetroAchievements at the moment.

Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Can you take a pic of the actual error window. In it is what we call a "stack trace" that shows what part of the code is failing. It's pretty vital in order for us to see what is going on and get it fixed or get you a work around. -
If you open it in LaunchBox there is a "Do not show again" checkbox. Check that and hit play anyway and it'll stop displaying in both LB and BB
