  1. Thanks guys. This has honestly been a minor issue for quite a while. So I think I'm gonna just proceed with the release for now and we'll come back to this. The issue is that sometimes images are in use and so they can't be deleted from the cache.
  2. @Tj19 Would you be willing to zip up and PM me your LaunchBox\Data folder? We're looking to release 7.10 tomorrow so if this is a real issue I really need to get it fixed as soon as possible.
  3. Very nice @avaris; great ideas. I do really like that stuff. Maybe we can get something like this added to the next poll. It basically works similarly to the filters but with a different, somewhat simpler interface. Also, now I do kinda want to nest the views...
  4. You can manually tweak them by modifying the Additional Applications on the game after the fact, but yes, agreed, it would be nice to be able to modify the disc numbers. We should add a ticket for that.
  5. @Wattoo I finally got the translators added to the About menu! It's that time again guys; I'm hoping to put out the official release on Friday. Very sorry for the short notice here; the translation updates should be very minor for this go around (the About form needs a new translation and probably a few things in Strings, but I'm guessing that's it). Also, here are the release notes for translating: Plugins are now supported for LaunchBox and Big Box! CRC checks are now used to eliminate duplicate images Application updates now download automatically in the background Thank you all very, very much. @CliveBarker @AFaustini @Wattoo @Opak @dukeemu @cyanjiang @Bardock @MajKSA
  6. Beta 10 is out now guys. It's mainly only minor additions and fixes, though I did add the translators to the About menu. Also new is a PluginHelper.StateManager.GetAllSelectedGames which will return all selected games at any time whether you're in LaunchBox or Big Box. I'm hoping this will be a good release candidate, though I'm not sure what's going on with @cammelspit above.
  7. Are you still getting crashes @cammelspit? Can you explain where and when? Is it on startup?
  8. Yes, that is by design.
  9. Thanks guys. @Nielk1 I've used that in the past and that will ensure that versions match up and that versioning isn't an issue, but it still won't fix the problem of a broken interface. In fact, in order to avoid having to do all that I don't change the version numbers on the plugin DLL when I put out a new version. The issue is though, you'll get a crash if you try and load up a new version of an interface with added members when a plugin was compiled against an older version.
  10. Oh no! Did you have them all uploaded to the FTP already @viking? Is it just the thread that got deleted?
  11. Alright, beta 9 is out now guys. @Nielk1 this should fix that logic so that media and metadata is only downloaded from the existing connected games database ID instead of searching again. I've also added a couple new methods to IGame to get all images on a game (for @UnderwoodNC's games database submission plugin) as well as a new Unbroken.LaunchBox.Plugins.Data.ImageTypes class which has constants for all possible image types.
  12. @ekdikeo I just did a bunch of testing to try and replicate this, but I can't seem to find any issues with it, even if I change resolutions and stuff. I'm guessing maybe it could be a driver issue or something? Sorry I can't be more help here.
  13. It's usually safe to do that, yes; though it is definitely recommended to take a backup of your entire installation. Betas are betas, and they do break from time to time.
  14. Yeah, I think that was by design to pick up a new game if the existing one no longer existed, but I can see how that doesn't make a whole lot of sense. I'll see if I can get that logic switched up. Also, yeah, I really probably need another namespace since it's not all Data, but yes, I should keep the root namespace clean with the plugin options. I'll see what I can do.
  15. @flores9 It's actually a specific list, so there's unfortunately no way to automatically filter them like that. But you could just create the automatic playlists, and then select them all and change the platform for them maybe.
  16. Nothing wrong with words, my friend. Hope you're having another peak day today.
  17. I have the same curse, brother (bipolar mother and bipolar blood). But it's also a blessing at times, as we can cope and know how to deal with all kinds of different people.
  18. Hey 84! Very cool; the album thing I think is primarily for images, just so you can associate images from the gallery with your blog posts. I think the closest thing you can do for categorization right now is to use tags, which of course isn't ideal but would probably help at least.
  19. This is indeed a great idea. We definitely need a good system to describe controls for each game and such. But yes, it could definitely be built with a plugin already.
  20. I am absolutely loving this Vlansix. It's sooooooo much quicker now.
  21. Yeah, the weird thing about that though is that LaunchBox doesn't even use any VC++ libraries. So it must have been some kind of really odd side effect, I guess.
  22. Ha, we were responding at the same time. That's interesting, I guess something you installed must have repaired the faulty library.
  23. We do have a log system in place, some of which is already included in the error reports. There is a DebugLog option that you can manually enable though in the Settings.xml file, though that isn't used for a whole lot now that we have the logs included in there error reports. The thing is though, if the whole app is just crashing without you seeing any error messages, then there's not really anything we can do to log or recover any information at that point. All I can figure is there still must be something severely messed up on the system. Windows does have some built-in reporting for application crashes if you check the event log, though they're not usually all that useful. Unfortunately it's going to be very difficult to figure it out; it probably has to do with drivers, DirectX, or .NET somehow being corrupted. The first thing I would do is install a fresh copy of LaunchBox to a separate folder and see if you still have the issue after adding a few games.
  24. Hehehehehe. Thanks guys. Beta 8 is out now with some bug fixes as well as a few new plugin features from the live stream this morning: - New PluginHelper.StateManager.IsBigBox property - New PluginHelper.StateManager.IsPremium property - New PluginHelper.StateManager.IsBigBoxInAttractMode property - New IPlatform.GetAllGames(bool includeHidden, bool includeBroken) method - New PluginHelper.BigBoxMainViewModel object is available that will allow you to force navigate to various places in Big Box. Documentation will be updated shortly to reflect these new changes. Also, I'm hoping I've fixed @Andrewnintendo's issue above as well as @Nielk1's issue with game database IDs changing.
