  1. Nothing wrong with sharing legitimate torrents. Thanks @Thanos Reigns.
  2. @suspendedhatch, I'm going for the easiest method here. Not trying to preach to you or anyone else. Also not trying to say you need an SSD. On top of that, no, 3 TB is not required unless you're a hoarder.
  3. Sure, to be honest I'm not sure if these forums were ever made to work well with such large downloads, so we many just need to split the files up. @nyny77, any chance you could split them up and upload smaller files? I think a single "download" will let you upload multiple files.
  4. @shinra358 I'll be headed back to Bitbucket next week to run through everything and fix all the bugs I can find. If Big Box is taking longer to load in the last few betas, it sounds like maybe you have voice recognition enabled? Voice recognition does indeed significantly increase the startup time. I may look at optimizing this soon (such as delaying loading the voice recognition for example). @kmoney, yes I'm sure we can optimize that at some point here. I agree that that is currently the most sluggish part of Big Box currently. I still have the CoverFlow looping on my list. @spycat So great to hear, thank you much.
  5. That's my hope. The image thing was giving me nightmares.
  6. Hi @mrman365, it depends on the platform you are importing. Music is not necessarily available for every game and for every platform.
  7. Hi @mrman365, the best approach is to download from both the LaunchBox Games Database and EmuMovies on the first shot. The priority matters less now that multiple images are allowed for each category. It will grab images from both sources either way. However, there will be some duplicates if the same image is located on both the LaunchBox Games Database and EmuMovies. Unfortunately there's nothing you can do about that currently.
  8. Apologies @Codeman. I'll hunt down the email and get you the code. We need an easier way to handle this in particular.
  9. Alright, new beta is out. In addition to the fixes described above, this beta has an update to the Italian translation, a couple more minor fixes for VLC, and I've fixed the Download Metadata wizard to stop overwriting platforms. I have not added an option for this yet; it's currently just set to never override platforms. We've been seeing a lot of related issues with that so for now I'm going to just stop changing the platforms with the metadata wizard. Obviously it's easy to manually change platforms in batch if needed. Thanks guys, I do believe we are nearing being ready for an official release, so I expect to put out the 6.9 official some time next week.
  10. Good news, everyone! I believe I've finally fixed the lines on the images bug with the wheels. It was driving me nuts because it was happening more than usual on the bartop, so I sat down this morning with one goal, prayed about it, and was determined to solve it. Thankfully the Lord helped me figure it out. I was knee-deep in 3D rendering code which to be honest is not my area of expertise. Ultimately the issue was related to a math rounding error in the CoverFlow rendering and I was able to solve it by fudging the numbers a bit. @bundangdon I believe I just fixed that issue as well for the next beta. @RetroArcade I see. I haven't figured that out yet. If anyone else has seen that happen, please speak up. I could use any clues you guys have as to when or how that might be happening. Thanks all, I'll have a beta out here shortly.
  11. That makes sense. It's probably just because it took a bit to make its way through the moderation queue.
  12. Hi @adelin07, this has not been implemented yet. Unfortunately it's not a commonly requested feature, so I've had to focus on more requested features to implement. We should make sure there's a ticket on Bitbucket for it (use the Issues/Requests link in the header), and then users can vote on the ticket. Go ahead and create a new ticket if you would because I don't think one exists yet, actually.
  13. Try going to Tools > Refresh All Images in LaunchBox. That should clear up any caching issues if that is the problem.
  14. I see, duh, of course. Currently there's no support for that, no. That said, it would be easy to add if someone could come up with a good data source (list of file names, platforms, and game titles in Excel, for example).
  15. Yes, you will need a large folder for your LaunchBox install, especially if you take the recommended approach of keeping all your ROMs and emulators inside of the LaunchBox folder, which will allow you to move the folder later if you put it all inside of the LaunchBox folder. If you only have one drive, you should be fine putting LaunchBox in the root of Drive C. Personally I would not put anything on an external USB hard drive because performance will likely be slower.
  16. Yes, also do the cores match the cores you're wanting to use?
  17. Hi Walrus13, where are you located (what country)? We have recently discovered that folks located in the UK have been having occasional issues, while it seems other people are fine. Still haven't figured out why that would be though.
  18. Awesome, let me know where you're seeing overlaps if you would. I can go through every form but it would definitely save me some time and I'd very much appreciate it if you could just share where you're seeing the overlaps, because then I wouldn't have to go through all of them. Thanks @dukeemu. I'll be putting out the new beta with the updates soon.
  19. No problem; thanks @dukeemu! How are things looking? I haven't done much testing yet. I'll get the translation update into a beta later today.
  20. Much appreciated @jadekitten. @smallsbig Sounds like we have two separate issues then, sigh.
  21. @RetroArcade, hmm, I might be missing something there. Can you explain that bug? Sorry if I've forgotten or something, just have a lot swirling around in my head.
  22. No, I can confirm that it does not do that. It will only match a game by title and platform, or by file path. If the application file path is the same as any other game in your collection, then it considers it the same game and won't import a duplicate of it. Same goes for the combination of platform and title.
  23. No kidding! Well thank you @Phoibos Delphi. That makes absolutely perfect sense. For everyone in this thread, what language is your Windows version? We should be able to get this fixed for people without having to do all that though; especially now that I know what the problem is. Thanks again.
  24. Oh nice @kmoney. Been talking back and forth with Arzoo and just fixed two more things for the LEDBlinky implementation; one is that I was sending over the file name including the file extension (which is why MAME wasn't working for me!) and the other is that the list change command was being sent before the frontend start command. New beta just went out with these fixes. LEDBlinky is now working 100% for me on my new bartop. Woot! Also sounds like Arzoo will have the LaunchBox plugin out very soon!
