  1. Odd. Other than maybe an image refresh issue, that's not making a lot of sense. I assume you made sure that you refreshed the image manually after making the changes?
  2. Thanks Retro. The scrolling should be scrolling endlessly; I'll take a look to see if I have a bug there. By the way, this isn't Visual Basic; it's a XAML markup for WPF. Visual Basic is a separate thing entirely, and LaunchBox/Big Box are coded in C#, which is also part of .NET, but it isn't Visual Basic. Doesn't matter much but I thought I'd clarify.
  3. Thank you @Diverdown! Unfortunately there are no options currently for play once or mute for the videos; however, I agree that we need those features. We have current plans for separate volume controls for videos, sound effects, music, etc., so that should be coming soon. The play once thing is a new one to me; can you add a ticket for that using Issues/Requests in the header? Thanks!
  4. Depending on the emulator, AutoHotkey may not work to send key presses. MAME is notorious for being a royal pain in this regard. MAME refuses to accept any "virtual" keypresses, and only takes input from physical keyboards. That's been pretty frustrating for us because it makes it very difficult to automate closing MAME (using voice recognition or controller automation). You're on the right track with the AutoHotkey stuff, but it's also worth noting that AutoHotkey sometimes has issues with Microsoft's latest 360/Xbox One controller drivers and sometimes it just won't work at all. We had to replace the controller automation solution using AutoHotkey with our own because of this issue. There's no way currently to use controller automation for just a single button, but you could add a ticket for that using Issues/Requests in the header.
  5. Thanks @Zombeaver. The partial name matching is provided only as a failsafe for people using their existing collections from other frontends. Thus, the -01 extensions aren't expected in that scenario.
  6. LaunchBox should be finding games by titles with no issues. The -01 suffix should never be required in order for the image to be picked up. If a particular image is not being picked up, then we have a glitch and I'll need a specific example in order to research it. The only time the -01 stuff comes into play is when saving *new* images.
  7. There is an option in the wizard to force using MAME metadata, which is what you need to solve those issues @chito. @DOS76, agreed. Perhaps we should just add MAME to the list and make it behave like Arcade.
  8. We do also have plans to add those missing toggles to Big Box as well.
  9. Hi @master333, both of these features are indeed planned and we do have tickets for them. If you click the Issues/Requests link in the header and then search for the tickets, you can find and vote on the tickets.
  10. @sfn103 No worries, not really looking for an apology and was not trying to treat you badly.
  11. Hehehehehe, thanks @Maddoc1007. We have a thread here collecting things to add to the responses.
  12. Ah, perhaps you've identified that bug that I've had trouble replicating @Zombeaver. @SentaiBrad and others reported that ages ago but I was never able to replicate it. Well cool; thanks for that, I'll look into it.
  13. Hi guys, stuff in brackets should still be ignored in the 6.9 betas. Not sure what might be going on though...
  14. Hey all, just put out a new beta that I'm hoping will allow voice recognition to work (in English) on non-English Windows versions. We will be supporting other languages as well eventually but there's a lot of work to do for that yet so that unfortunately won't make it into the 6.9 release. Let me know if this is working for non-English Windows versions. You may need to install a US English language pack if things aren't working: https://zulja.wordpress.com/2015/08/11/installing-additional-language-packs-for-windows-10-speech-recognition/

Hi @mingmong24, just ran into a crack thread where you were a key player in the discussion. I remembered your name from helping you out so was pretty disappointed to find that. All I can say is "really"?
  16. FYI guys, this is this guy's third account and his fourth attempt. He posted several messages to me earlier threatening to use a crack and demanding a free license. I usually honestly hand out licenses in this case, but if you threaten to use a crack I just can't bring myself to do it. I've banned this guy three times and he just keeps creating accounts. Gonna ban his IP next.
  17. Previously when this has happened there's been an issue with EmuMovies. Let us know if you see it again @cammelspit. No worries.
  18. Another beta is out. I trust everything is working properly with VLC since I haven't heard back? This beta mainly just has the work from the live stream this morning, including looping the CoverFlow views, fixing the voice recognition and synthesis to work on non-US Windows (hopefully), and lining up the WMP and VLC videos to show up in the same spot vertically. Both WMP and VLC should now show up centered vertically in the XAML video area (which of course matters a lot for custom themes that use a TV image, for example). Thanks guys; looking to put out the official version either tomorrow or Friday.
  19. Hi Wolf, no problem. Just email me at jason@unbrokensoftware.com with your full name and I'll send you out a new license.
  20. Odd. Try switching video playback engines in LaunchBox, @DOS76. That would at least narrow it down. It looks like it has something to do with the video.
  21. That looks really nice @RetroAsylum! Make sure you're using the beta version (or wait until we release the official 6.9 later this week), and you'll see a new Documentation.pdf file show up in the Themes folder. That should really help you out a lot and give you full flexibility with the details. @Eirulan The text auto scrolling is a new feature in the beta releases.
  22. Hi @cammelspit, can you show us what the errors are? Click the error link.
  23. Ah, I see. That's interesting. Sheesh...never even heard of an app doing that that isn't malware. Sounds like a tough one to solve so I'll probably set it aside for now.
