  1. Hi AmigaTronik, I'll need more information in order to help you out here. By crashes, do you mean Big Box is freezing or are you getting error message popups? What are the error messages? I assume you're using the VLC video playback engine?
  2. Hi Gaming. I indeed have a backlog of batch stuff to upload the the games database. I don't yet have a good system in place to batch upload things. Once I get that in place though I should be able to batch upload things from people's LaunchBox XML files, but I have some work to do before I get there. But yes, hopefully eventually I'll be able to integrate the work you do there.
  3. Thanks @smallsbig. Nothing is better than building something for your kids to enjoy, for real.
  4. Thank you very much @Zsolan. Hope it works out well for you. Just to confirm, even with a regular non-forever license, the software will work forever. You'll just be required to renew in order to download any further updates after the year is up.
  5. Thanks @DOS76. You probably already know from the other thread but I ran an upgrade and botched some of the URL rewriting. It was my stupid but trust me...now I've learned. Let me know if anyone sees any additional issues with the forums. @Mute64 That would make sense. Let me know if you figure anything out.
  6. No problem, I want to support you guys (the theme developers) as much as I possibly can so we can encourage some more active theme development.
  7. Woot! Glad you got it fixed @smallsbig. That's quite interesting. If you can report that over on the RocketLauncher forums, though, that would be much appreciated.
  8. I think I finally have this fixed guys. Let me know if anyone finds any more issues. Sorry for the trouble; I updated the forums and apparently they restructured something on me.
  9. Working on this right now guys. Quick solution is to remove the ? from the URL when it comes up. But obviously that sucks. Something in the URL rewriting is broken. On it.
  10. Yes, that would be because the error is probably with the LaunchBox plugin for RocketLauncher, which is actually part of the RocketLauncher code.
  11. Killer! Thanks amazing @DOS76. Thank you very much for that.
  12. Yeah I think I'm deciding against doing a Kickstarter at this point. I'd still rather focus on the desktop versions of LaunchBox and Big Box for a while yet because there's still plenty to do and I need to be able to focus on them. I'll have to take a look at Corona, Sdentau.
  13. Here you go Gaming: http://gamesdb.launchbox-app.com You'll need to register but then you'll be able to browse or search for the game and add the image. Thanks!
  14. Killer, as always @niglurion. Hoping to put out the official release in a couple days.
  15. Hi guys, to be honest I'm clueless on this one. If either of you guys can go ask on the RocketLauncher forums what might be going on here, that would be awesome.
  16. Weird, I've never seen that before Mute. That's really odd. Remind me what OS version you're running? Thanks for those errors guys. Looks like we've got more work to do, sigh. I'll keep working at it and get them back to higankanshi as well.
  17. Interesting, I wasn't aware of that syntax. I guess there's a lot to XAML I haven't even discovered yet. It would be relatively easy to fall back to the default videos in that case, so I'll add that to my to-do list for next week. Thanks Cid.
  18. That makes sense. Can you put a feature request ticket in for that @falcon?
  19. Just to update this topic, we determined that the 3D transitions, when used for the Screen Transition setting, were causing huge framerate drops. I've since fixed the issue in the latest beta.
  20. Hi @Britxcdn, that is very odd that they would just stop working. The Windows Media Player application is required to be installed on your machine for the WMP engine, so perhaps it got uninstalled somehow? What version of Windows are you running? We have a lot of fixes in place in the latest beta release for the VLC engine but the WMP engine should be working fine in 6.7. First things first, I would try rebooting (if you haven't already) and then look to see if your video drivers have any updates. Let us know if any of that helps.
  21. Thanks all. @shinra358, it makes sense that it's confusing. It basically only uses the file or folder name in order to identify the game that is correct for that file. But I get what you're saying, sounds like maybe we should have an option for that either way. I do have an item on my list though to allow people to use the file names already. Some people really don't like us remove the region and stuff. @Bedwyr, yeah, I could muster up the obedience to do something like that. I tend to describe what is new in this thread, though. The problem with that approach is I don't even put all the changes for the betas in the change log, only the changes since the last official release. If I fix an issue with a previous beta, it doesn't end up in the change log (otherwise I'd spend too long detailing it all out). Thank you for that error code @Sepulchre. If we're lucky that's the same error code that @kmoney saw. Should be easy to fix.
  22. Alright, another new beta is out. This one fixes the multi-disc folder issue (the file names are now used instead of the folder names to detect the disc if you check the box to use the folder names for the game titles). It also fixes the frame rate issues that were showing up in the CoverFlow views when using 3D screen transitions (or at least it does for me @imdavid555). 3D screen transitions seem to be taxing even my highend system though so that might not be a great idea to set in the configuration, but at least now the framerate should no longer be affected after the transitions are over. I'm also hoping that @ThePolish's restarting videos issues with the Windows Media Player engine are fixed in this beta as well, though I couldn't really reproduce it so I don't really know for sure. Finally, I tried upgrading the VLC version to see if that would fix the green line issue when playing back the .webm Steam trailers, but sadly they're still there. I do have some more ideas for this one though. Also, Circo at EmuMovies mentioned that he could re-encode them and include them in EmuMovies which would solve the issue as well. Let me know what else you guys find.
  23. Thanks @kmoney. I'll look into #3 there. Too bad we didn't catch that Big Box error; that's the kind of stuff that I hate not having fixed. Any chance the error was that dreaded "VlcPlayer not be ready, if you want to use VlcPlay no in XAML, please read this Wiki" error? Would you happen to remember? And bah on that image issue. I have yet to see it since we "fixed" it in the live stream but if it happened once, it'll happen again. Ugh.
