I'm actually not certain if it needs to be in actual GUID format or not (I'd have to go look), so I'll trust Walk left on this one. :) But yes, other than format, it just needs to be unique.

Certainly worth a discussion. It's actually really easy to do as far as loading different LaunchBox.xml files. Where it gets more complicated is the portability of things, and where to put game files, etc. when they are separate libraries. Thoughts?

Yeah, we could definitely benefit from a list of rules and standards, Clive, agreed. Problem is they're no fun to write, no fun to read, and no fun to enforce. ;) That said, I can help clarify a few things. I will keep asking that every new bug and feature request gets added to Bitbucket. I think the forums should be a good place to "discuss" what "might" be a good idea, or discuss the best way to solve problems, etc. But yeah, all in all, the final request should end up in Bitbucket for sure.

Yeah, I hate WMP too. Thing is, though, it's actually a decent media player if you get rid of the extremely crappy interface. I just wish MS didn't disable media playback completely when you uninstall it, kind of stupid. :/

That's a good point though, I should just tell people to click that. Then I don't have to keep copy/pasting that stupid link. ;)

You can vote on them and such as well this way. :) Per the ALT+F4 stuff, LaunchBox already tries to make the Escape key work to exit all emulators with the AutoHotkey scripts for the various emulators. Sounds like you have games that are there that you don't know about, so it won't re-import the duplicates. Check to see if they're there without a platform or something like that.

Hi @teamkory, the issue with the above is that the "use file name only without file extension..." box is not checked. It should have been checked by default, actually. But that should fix it. :)

Hi @marcowy, Brad's mostly right, it's a GUID, which is just generated randomly as a unique ID. It's basically just a random string of letters. So basically, it isn't important what it is so long as it's in the valid format and it isn't the same for more than one game in the XML.

Yeah, sadly, no, no automated way to scrape from a random page.
