  1. Yup, agreed. I need to do some research with how the other guys do it, and see if we can come up with the best possible solution. Unfortunately it's not on the top of the to-do list though.
  2. Thanks @scree. Yes, I still have Big Box versions on my list. Unfortunately it might not make it into 5.3, but hopefully soon.
  3. By the way, I did get this fixed last night in the latest beta. :) I had no idea about that bug, but it was a serious bug, so thanks much for finding and reporting it.
  4. Thanks @acombs1793. If you're looking to start over completely, then no harm in deleting everything. But the LaunchBox.xml file is located in the LaunchBox folder (the folder you installed it to). Glad it's a good solution for you. :)
  5. Per the list view, both of those features are planned but will not make it into the 5.3 release. Sorting favorite games at the top is only for Big Box, and it's in the Big Box Games List options. Have you been getting error messages for those crashes? It's always very helpful if you can report them. I did get one report yesterday that I'm looking into. I believe I do have half-star ratings and multiple tag selections on my list. I'll add arrow buttons to the list. :)
  6. Hi @Stal8080, I think I answered you these via email already but I'll answer them here too just in case anyone happens to land on this page. Big Box currently does not automatically download videos, but this functionality is coming, through EmuMovies. Still, if you have an EmuMovies subscription it's really easy to download them with their download tool and then just drop the videos in the right folders. All of Big Box can be controlled just fine with a joystick, yes. *Most* emulators can be exited just fine with the controller using the AutoHotkey features. Some of them are still being perfected, however.
  7. Hehehehe, that'd be quite a throwback, wouldn't it? It'd be fun too, but unfortunately I don't think it really fits with the rest of LaunchBox. Might be a fun side project though at some point.
  8. FYI everyone, I plan to release the official this coming Thursday. @AFaustini, new beta is out. :) If you can, here are the release notes that would be great to translate: New list view is available for premium users Custom AutoHotkey scripts for all emulators, MS-DOS, or Windows games Proper support for MAME game imports Thanks!
  9. Alright, new beta is out that fixes all the reported bugs with the last beta, sans for @scree's reported icons bug. Hoping to release the official version on Thursday night.
  10. @scree, I have the first issue fixed, but I can't seem to replicate the second issue (the favorite/edit/close icons not showing). You're talking about the game details hover popup, correct? Is anyone else able to replicate this?
  11. Wow, thanks @SqHd, I see it now, good find. I wonder if I introduced that issue recently. Hopefully I can get it fixed before the official release.
  12. Custom filters can be used to do that, though I agree it of course could be more flexible.
  13. Hi @yajinni, I think I attempted to answer most of these in another thread. @DOS76, I believe if you check the box to use emulation before browsing it should open it up to all files...I think.
  14. Hi @yajinni, yes, Retroarch can be configured to be portable, though it uses strange syntax for it. The configuration files use this syntax: :\assets Which means the assets folder inside of the Retroarch folder.

    RetroArch

Hi @fishman, we're not following. It should work fine to import additional platforms for Retroarch. What is the problem you're running into?
  16. Ah, nice. I'm gonna have to pick one up very soon, I think. :)
  17. Ah, I wasn't aware of those discrepancies. Thanks @scree, hopefully I can get them fixed before the official release.
  18. Hi @acombs1793, welcome, and thanks for the purchase. As @DOS76 states above, you can basically just delete the LaunchBox.xml file (and any images in the images folder) if you want to start over fresh. Typically, if you're getting 0 games imported, it's because the games you're trying to import already exist, but you're not seeing them for some reason. Sometimes this happens when you delete a platform which orphans the games (makes them not belong to any platforms, but they still should show up in all games).
  19. Awesome! Glad to hear it's all working great, and thanks for sharing your config. :)
  20. Thank you @yajinni! I will add the favorites folder feature to my list. :)
  21. Hi @yajinni. Some other folks might have some better answers for you, but I'll answer what I can. The best way to set up multiple discs in LaunchBox is to use Additional Applications. You can add an additional app for each disc, and mark them to use emulation (just point them to the game disc files). Swapping discs is often unfortunately a challenge and depends on the emulator. I'm not aware of any current solutions for #1 and #2.
  22. Thank you @scree and @DOS76, I appreciate you guys helping me test this and reporting the issues. I'll do my best to get these fixed tonight. :)
  23. Hi @wirtual82, currently you are able to multiple filter things by using a combination of the sidebar filters, the search box, and Arrange By. To be honest, I don't see us heading in this direction because it seems much better suited for things like music than games. Still, thanks for opening up the discussion. I'd be curious what everybody thinks; if the community agrees that we should head in this direction I'd definitely listen.
  24. Awesome, thank you @AFaustini. I will get these updated and in the new beta tonight.
  25. It looks like you can launch Steam Big Picture mode like this: \steam.exe -bigpicture So what you can do is create a new game and point the Application Path to your steam.exe file, and then put -bigpicture in the application command line parameters. That should work to launch Big Picture mode.
