  1. Custom filters can be used to do that, though I agree it of course could be more flexible.
  2. Hi @yajinni, I think I attempted to answer most of these in another thread. @DOS76, I believe if you check the box to use emulation before browsing it should open it up to all files...I think.
  3. Hi @yajinni, yes, Retroarch can be configured to be portable, though it uses strange syntax for it. The configuration files use this syntax: :\assets Which means the assets folder inside of the Retroarch folder.

    RetroArch

Hi @fishman, we're not following. It should work fine to import additional platforms for Retroarch. What is the problem you're running into?
  5. Ah, nice. I'm gonna have to pick one up very soon, I think. :)
  6. Ah, I wasn't aware of those discrepancies. Thanks @scree, hopefully I can get them fixed before the official release.
  7. Hi @acombs1793, welcome, and thanks for the purchase. As @DOS76 states above, you can basically just delete the LaunchBox.xml file (and any images in the images folder) if you want to start over fresh. Typically, if you're getting 0 games imported, it's because the games you're trying to import already exist, but you're not seeing them for some reason. Sometimes this happens when you delete a platform which orphans the games (makes them not belong to any platforms, but they still should show up in all games).
  8. Awesome! Glad to hear it's all working great, and thanks for sharing your config. :)
  9. Thank you @yajinni! I will add the favorites folder feature to my list. :)
  10. Hi @yajinni. Some other folks might have some better answers for you, but I'll answer what I can. The best way to set up multiple discs in LaunchBox is to use Additional Applications. You can add an additional app for each disc, and mark them to use emulation (just point them to the game disc files). Swapping discs is often unfortunately a challenge and depends on the emulator. I'm not aware of any current solutions for #1 and #2.
  11. Thank you @scree and @DOS76, I appreciate you guys helping me test this and reporting the issues. I'll do my best to get these fixed tonight. :)
  12. Hi @wirtual82, currently you are able to multiple filter things by using a combination of the sidebar filters, the search box, and Arrange By. To be honest, I don't see us heading in this direction because it seems much better suited for things like music than games. Still, thanks for opening up the discussion. I'd be curious what everybody thinks; if the community agrees that we should head in this direction I'd definitely listen.
  13. Awesome, thank you @AFaustini. I will get these updated and in the new beta tonight.
  14. It looks like you can launch Steam Big Picture mode like this: \steam.exe -bigpicture So what you can do is create a new game and point the Application Path to your steam.exe file, and then put -bigpicture in the application command line parameters. That should work to launch Big Picture mode.
  15. Hey all, it's that time again. I just put out the feature-complete beta before 5.3, so we should be ready to go for translation updates. Here are the resource files that have changed since 5.2: Strings.resx ImportGamesFromFilesWizardForm.resx MainForm.resx AlreadyRunningForm.resx EditAutoHotkeyScriptForm.resx EmulatorForm.resx AboutForm.resx AddEditForm.resx They should all mostly have only minor changes (just a thing or two added, most likely). It is possible that some of them don't have any real changes (sometimes Visual Studio likes to save them even when nothing changes). As usual, the language package downloads at the beginning of this thread are up to date. Thanks as always. :)
  16. Alright, new beta is out. I'm hoping this will be the last beta before the 5.3 official (been a long time coming). We are feature-complete at this point for 5.3. I fixed all the above mentioned issues with the list view, etc. Fixed XBox One game controller support, the issues I introduced with ScummVM, and everything else that I know of that is significant. I also added the necessary data pieces to automatically populate the right game titles from the MAME ROM file names. This should work on the ROM imports, making them much cleaner (though we're still relying on TheGamesDB's selection of games). Thanks much everyone; I'd appreciate as much testing as possible on this one to prep for the final release.
  17. Hmm, so the ROM import is what has the issue? Are you using the ROM import when initially adding the ROMs?
  18. Hi @DOS76, finally got around to looking at this. However, versions are showing up fine for me. By chance, do you have "Show Versions" unchecked in the View menu?
  19. Hi @yajinni, you can batch mark games as favorites in LaunchBox by selecting all of the games that you want to mark as favorite, and then right-click and Edit. Currently, ROM paths are not automatically scanned for new games. However, you can always re-run the imports and it will find/add only the new games. Automatic folder scanning is indeed coming. Yes, the latest beta versions of Big Box do put the favorites at the top. The official version with this should be out in less than a week. The setting does stick. Thanks! :)
  20. Hi @SqHd, welcome. I'm not sure if I'm fully following. You're saying it's missing images after downloading them from TheGamesDB?
  21. Weird, this is because the new Xbox One controllers show up as "First Person" controllers instead of "Gamepads" or "Joysticks". So weird. Anyways, it's an easy fix in that regard, but I'm also noticing that the controllers have a new configuration which messes with the trigger scrolling in LaunchBox, so I still have to tackle that. I should have a new beta out over the weekend that addresses it. :)
  22. Hi @jacarado, welcome. Sorry for the late response. I've noticed that this is almost always because Retroarch can't seem to find the BIOS because it's either looking for different BIOS files than what you've put in there, or it's looking in the wrong folder. Check your retroarch.cfg file and make sure the system_directory line is correct.
  23. Wow, thanks for pointing that out @sylandro. You're very correct, I apparently broke ScummVM with a change from another thread (adding the Extras path). I will research and fix before the next beta.
  24. Thanks @chadmoe1, sounds great. I might need to add plugin support to make this happen, which has been on my plate for a while but I just haven't tackled it yet.
