  1. Hi @scree, I knew about that error, but I *did not* know that it happened only after three times. That's probably why I couldn't reproduce it. I must say, you are really, really helpful when it comes to that kind of stuff. I really appreciate it. :) I'll get a new beta out soon.
  2. YouTube videos would be really great, and it's on my list. It'd also be cool if it would automatically find relevant videos. It's not exactly at the top of my list, but it's up there. :)
  3. Hi @DOS76, me too. I'm actually planning on building an arcade cabinet as well. Having LaunchBox start up on boot can actually be done without any changes to LaunchBox. You just have to add it to the system startup.
  4. Bulk edit custom filters? Not currently. Can you explain the scenario? I guess that situation just never occurred to me.
  5. Thanks, Martin. I do have this on my list. I might be able to sneak it in before 5.0, but otherwise should be soon.
  6. Very cool, Martin. Unfortunately my building skills are absolutely terrible (I blame it on all the time I spend coding), so I think I'm going to get a kit from Rec Room Masters. :) http://www.recroommasters.com/32_Pro_Upright_Xtension_Arcade_Cabinet_Emulator_p/rm-xt-32-pro-ee.htm But it's expensive...hence why I'm saving up.
  7. Ah, good call on the mouse click, @scree. I'll take a look at that. Unfortunately I don't have a good solution for opening up Big Box instead of LaunchBox at the end of the WinRAR setup. At some point I'm going to have to create a real setup (the WinRAR one is starting to suck), but I haven't gotten to it yet.
  8. @kriven, that is correct. @DOS76, you're already up to date.
  9. It's just like the LB updater; it only shows up on startup if an update is available.
  10. Anyone get a chance to try the new Big Box updater?
  11. @AFaustini, awesome. I just sent you the translation files. :)
  12. Whoops...sorry for that guys. Apparently my upload last night got corrupted. It should be fixed now.
  13. Hehehehehe, indeed. I'm in trouble; I'm only 31 and already have enough bitterness for a lifetime. ;) I'll have to check out that movie.
  14. If you'd rather not upload it, you can email it to jasondavidcarr at gmail dot com. That way I can look to see what's wrong and get it fixed. Thanks @Mute64.
  15. Yeah, when we do implement it (I do still have it on my list), we'll certainly prompt before we delete.
  16. Hi @Kasdar, welcome. Unfortunately it's our policy to use real names (it's our only means of trying to prevent piracy). I have granted a couple of exceptions in the past, but very rarely. Why is it that you would like it removed?
  17. Thanks @Cabirus. Letting you choose from a list for imports (if not found) is actually planned, and so is allowing you to select "None" in custom filters, which should allow for "missing metadata" and such. I didn't realize that TGDB gave data on other platforms; maybe that's new. I'll take a look at that. :)
  18. Good idea @scree, I can add that easily enough. I just put out another new beta. Thanks to @cyanjiang it includes a shiny new Simplified Chinese translation. It also should fix the delays with custom platforms, @kriven. :)
  19. That was unbelievably fast! Thank you @cyanjiang. I just put out a new beta with the translation. We will need to test all of the screens in LaunchBox and Big Box to see if there are any issues, such as text that is cut off or things that weren't translated, etc. I'm not going to be very useful doing that myself because I'm not familiar with the Chinese character set and such. I'm sure there will be at least a few places with problems; if you can let me know where they are, then I can fix them. Thanks again; it's great to see it all translated to Chinese. :)
  20. Thanks, Brad; yeah, I know what a CRC is, but I'm not clear on how that would really help with scraping images. I guess we could keep a database of CRCs, but that would probably be fairly problematic considering how many different versions of games there are.
  21. @AFaustini, I haven't heard from @jh0nnyrosa in quite some time. Want to take it over?
  22. Awesome. I'll make it Simplified Chinese. :) Also, I know Chinese is really important because of the number of people, so I really appreciate it. I'm creating the files for both the French and the Chinese translations now. Hopefully the France version of French works.
  23. Also, @Wattoo and @Klamp, sorry I haven't gotten translation files to you guys yet. Quick question, though; is Canadian French similar enough to French in France that they're basically interchangeable? I ask because there's of course around six different versions of French. I'll probably call it the France version of French assuming there aren't too many differences between the two.
  24. Hi @cyanjiang, what version of Chinese do you know? Ideally we'd probably want to use the most generic version of Chinese, but I don't know how different they are from each other. zh-CN Chinese - China zh-HK Chinese - Hong Kong zh-MO Chinese - Macau zh-SG Chinese - Singapore zh-TW Chinese - Taiwan zh-CHS Chinese (Simplified) zh-CHT Chinese (Traditional)
  25. That does indeed look useful...lots of good data there. We'll have to see if they have any kind of an API and what their policy is on applications using their data. Wanna check that out for me? Unfortunately, we've reached out to TheGamesDB many times in the past and haven't had much luck working with them, or even getting a response as of late.
