  1. @ChaosDrop We're up to date on our emails (we respond to an average of around 10 a day), so if you're sending us emails and not getting responses, then somehow either we're not getting them, or you're not getting our responses. I searched our email history for any emails from your email account that you have listed on the forums, and I don't see any at all, so something's going wrong there. Is that your correct email?
  2. The good news here is that all downloaded images will still be there and available, so none of those images will need to be re-downloaded, even if the games don't show up. So you can just re-run the process and it should skip any image downloads that you already have (and go much faster). If the rough-matching image process is causing delays, you can just turn that off in the importer. Most users have relatively quick access to the downloads (I'm in the US without issues), but every once in a while we find someone who it's slow for. Unfortunately with the amount of traffic that we have, setting up any kind of a distributed network would be crazy expensive, so that's not really an option unfortunately. Splitting up the imports might be helpful, but it could also cause confusion. Since the images don't have to be re-downloaded though, I don't necessarily think it's needed.
  3. No problem; let me know if anyone wants to take it over.
  4. Gotcha. You can certainly still do it in your local collection. Unfortunately though, even if we did add the option to the games database, it would be a long while before games were actually updated with the proper values, since they would all need to be updated by the community.
  5. You may be confused if you have platform-specific views set. You'll want to bind a key or a button to the "Switch View" option so that you can switch the views on the fly.
  6. You mean the Unified Redux theme? The Unified Redux theme discs do spin a lot faster, by design. The Unified theme should work perfectly fine though, with spinning discs. You may need a video driver update. Also make sure you don't have anything running in the background that might be interfering, including anti-virus software.
  7. Yeah, that is still on my list as well. Yes, I'm sure native Linux support would be better received. Unfortunately, though, the number of users that have even tried the Linux version is extremely small, and on top of that, building a native Linux version would require a complete rewrite of the software, which would likely take years. So unfortunately, we really don't have that option at all, especially considering the small number of users. This issue is plaguing me as well, and as of yet, I haven't been able to figure it out. It's a weird one and it's currently throwing me for a loop.
  8. This is a good point (that associated platform names are not changed when changing platform names). I feel like that in particular could be improved. It might also be confusing though to automatically change it, depending on your reasoning for changing the platform name, so I'm not sure about that.
  9. You should be able to find at least one of them by using cheat codes from old DOS shooters.
  10. Did this get resolved? I was never able to replicate these issues. Sorry for the late reply.
  11. Sorry for the late reply here. Unfortunately, I'm doubtful that there's going to be a good solution. Nostalgia is one of the more problematic themes that we've dealt with, unfortunately. I think it'll need an update in order to work properly going forward.
  12. Not a bad idea, fuzzlefluff, though I'm not sure it's worth adding another game type for it, primarily because most early access games are released eventually anyways. So any game that was put in as early access would then need to be changed later to released. I think I'd rather just put them in as released (as they were indeed released, even if they are early access).
  13. Thanks @Darkshade; this is a cool idea. To be honest, though, it's gonna be difficult to devote enough time to implement this, because I don't think it would be a feature that would be widely used. I'll keep it in mind though to see if there are any other requests for it.
  14. We'll need more details in order to help troubleshoot. There's no alternative that I'm aware of.
  15. FYI, I've banned the guy who was doing this. The good news is that none of his changes were accepted.
  16. Hi guys, I'll get back to this here soon. It's not abandoned. I will admit though that I am very surprised how few users we've had interested (I thought we'd have a lot more users who would be excited about it). That said, I'm very grateful for you guys and the work you've put in to improve LaunchBox on Linux. I can't devote as much time to it as I had hoped, because of the apparently extremely small audience, but we will keep it going. I'll look to get the script updated to 11.7 or 11.8 here soon.
  17. Hi there, are you running 32-bit or 64-bit Windows 7? What is the error message that you're getting?
  18. I haven't tried it in a long time, but the CleanBG theme is really old at this point, so that might be the problem. I would recommend going with a different theme at this point.
  19. I'll have to look at the details on the license to figure out what's going on exactly. I can't find your license in our database, probably because you're using a different email. Can you PM me what email you're using? And the name on the license?
  20. The cutoff is at #20, so unfortunately no. Not exactly sure at this point. We do have a few things we want to get in in addition to the last two poll items before putting out a new poll.
  21. Yes, apparently the issue has to do with the rough-matching image checks and files/game titles that include special characters. @C-Beats was able to identify that earlier as well, and is working on a fix. I just tested this myself and did not run into any issues, either doing it manually or in bulk. By chance, you're not killing the LaunchBox process are you?
  22. Just tested this myself with the 11.8 release and it seems to be working fine for me. Two games showed up in the list. Maybe try checking the box to import duplicate games?
  23. @Cyberdemon87 LaunchBox compares your license expiration date to the release date of the version that was released. When did your license expire and what version are you running?
  24. Beta 5 is out now with some fixes for the Epic importer. Unless anyone finds any glaring issues, we plan to release 11.8 tomorrow.
  25. Beta 4 is out now with the following: Improvement: New option to hide the Search option from the Big Box system menu while Big Box is locked Fixed: On rare occasions, Bulk Edit changes were not properly saving after a restart, mostly affecting Custom Field changes and changes made via the Audit window Fixed: The Epic Games importer was occasionally not finding all of a user's games Fixed: Changing a game's platform via the Audit window now removes the game from the list when auditing a specific platform
