  1. The programs might require other software to be installed first for them to work. Like how LaunchBox requires certain software, but LaunchBox should install all of it for the user. Other software isn't as easy. I don't use Project64 for N64, but rather RetroArch (which RA does require command lines), but I don't remember Project 64 2.0+ requiring them. I do recall there being a setting that when you open PJ64 it will show you a list of roms that you can import, and that should be disabled (thought I don't remember there it's located). Past that, PPSSPP shouldn't require anything special and should just launch the games. So given that everything is set up right (if you followed my PPSSPP tutorial), then my best guess is it might be a dependency problem.
  2. Huh, that's odd. If they're both failing, then you might potentially be missing a dependency? Assuming all the paths are correct, and you're not using any command line parameters, then it should work. Neither require BIOS, and without an actual error it could be anything and everything.
  3. There really isn't a way, at least currently, to show a list of games that have been combined. This would be a good field for the Audit feature though, so feel free to request that by clicking Issues/Requests at the top of the page. If you re-import games and use the auto-combination, then the games will re-combine based on what LaunchBox sees. If you remove the games you'll have to re-do things like playlists (unless automatically populated), favorites and anything you had to manually do that LaunchBox doesn't do. When you delete a game in LaunchBox, it only removes the game from your platform and removes the info on the backend. You can also turn on the option to delete the rom file associated with it as well. It's an optional setting that will ask you after you press yes to remove if you want it to remove the file too. If you re-import that same game though, it should go trough just fine. The only time LaunchBox wont import a game is if the exact file is already located in your LaunchBox library. So if you removed half of a platforms games, then ran the import for that platform, it will import the games that aren't currently imported. If you need more help feel free to ask!
  4. No, please don't worry. We are a community, and these are public posts that anyone can respond to.
  5. Oh, yea, I didn't think to ask the platform. Demul does require a decent PC.
  6. No, they're just DOS games. They still use DOSBox. It's just like any other rom set, except they're DOS games so they're PC games, and not single rom files. You treat them as you do any other DOS game. eXo wanted to make it easy and accurate, so the games are supposed to be played using their custom conf files (when a game has one), and he is working on a way to integrate it easily in to LaunchBox, but I just ran the DOS Importer and I use the custom conf files for games that give me trouble. The set is just a good quality set, and has had a lot of work put in to it.
  7. Well, if you found DOS games online then chances are you're not installing them anyways. Some DOS games will have issues unless you run their config or setups (especially to customize some settings), but for the most part, eXoDOS is mostly a really good way to get DOS games in the best shape they can be in. They're all of quality, distributed with their disc / disk images where needed, and special conf files when needed. I don't remember if they ship with manuals and drm documents (like wheels), but I wouldn't be surprised if it did. It's worth noting too that the games aren't cracked or anything like that either, they're legit copies of the originals.
  8. I messed that up didn't I. Whoops.
  9. If you kept a hold of the e-mail, and your e-mail provider has a search bar, you can always search up "LaunchBox", see if the e-mail still exists and re-download it. Otherwise, e-mail support@launchbox.com and they'll take care of you.
  10. You don't, it's just the easiest way to find a good working set for those that need it, but if it's loading then it isn't the BIOS fault.
  11. If you looked at the date before you edited it, it would have been at least 6 months old. It hasn't been used in a long time. The other XML you edited was the only thing that effected anything you wanted to change.
  12. As far as I know, nothing special is needed. Just make sure to have the latest demul, grab the dreamcast bios from a MAME .183 non-merged set (you can grab just the single file), and find a good rip of the game which is kind of a crapshoot. Just try from a good set.
  13. It could have just been a random fluke. Internet is generally not exact. Give it some time and try again, and if that doesn't try a restart and try once more for me.
  14. Might be Tosec or redump then. Try and find a pack of the games from a reputable pack. Grabbing random single games online from random sites is generally not a good idea since they almost always have no quality control.
  15. Your LaunchBox account? Do you mean the account you use on the forums? There are two different accounts, the forums and the Database.
  16. The VMU does pop up, but I never set it up specifically. I also have the no-intro or TOSEC pack of Dreamcast games (I don't remember the exact pack).
  17. If the paths are kept in the Platform xml you could open them up in Notepad++ and edit the old path to the new path with the find and replace feature.
  18. Depending on how many you have, when you go to import the files in a batch, on the last screen you can double click their names and rename them. Granted, it's still not the solution (which would be to account for this in LB instead), but it's faster then needing to edit and download for each individual game.
  19. There are a few options, and some take more time than others. Besides a button that swaps to the next disc like in RetroArch, the easiest solution is to save state when it asks to switch, close it down, open up the second disc, and load the save state. Otherwise, a very time consuming alternative is to put them in a PBP container. This will compress your games without an archive and combine multiple discs. I am unsure if ePSXe can utilize PBP's, but the PS1 Core in RetroArch does which is my suggested emulator for people.
  20. That's a really good solution! Thanks for sharing that.
  21. I just checked mine, and it did mention saved data, but it never stuck. I have the gdi versions and demul. What emulator are you using?
  22. This could be true, but that would be the first time I've heard of it. @keltoigael, which video engine are you using? Did you try changing it?
  23. No, like I said, there's command line requirements for it just like RetroArch. You'll need to add the system to the associated platforms page and use the proper command on the default command line parameter box in that associated platforms tab. There was literally a thread about this yesterday. It's -ss something. In RetroArch, it's the same deal with the associated platforms page, but it's just -L "core\<insert core name>.dll".
