  1. If all of your roms and emulators are on the save hard drive as LaunchBox, it will use a relative path. It doesn't need to just be inside of the LB folder. If things have a relative path, then you don't need to make sure drive letters match, just that the file structure from the root of the hard drive stays the same on another hard drive.
  2. No, all of your files are still there. If you stopped it part way from downloading, that seems odd. The download shouldn't effect LB like that, but lets go through a few steps. Have you tried a system restart?
  3. It might have asked to restart if it installed the prerequisite software. It will install it for a user if they're missing it.
  4. Yea, I didn't push the Steam Link any farther because I haven't used it myself, but I have seen plenty of others using it.
  5. You can use 3rd party software in the meantime to control where windows open. I use DisplayFusion myself (which has way more uses than that).
  6. Well, I would say to stop relying on the Hyperspin XML's, but that's personal preference I guess. Those packs do get updated, some of the No-Intros were updated as early as last month, so they're not stagnant at least.
  7. You have 59k games......... that's generally WELL above the average. So yes, performance might be taking a dip up that high, and there are certainly more things that can be done (merging games for example comes to mind), but yea. With a 2k series Intel CPU, 59k games is absolutely insane. That is a lot of data for your CPU to read.
  8. The Games Collection feature on the Database needs some real love, the entire Database does sadly. So, currently, if there are issues going on it could still be those. Jason does want to get them fixed, but he is the only developer. We also got hit pretty hard with our server in the last few days, and could still be that; A combination of it all? Just so you know, the Game Collection portion has nothing to do with LaunchBox or Big Box running correctly, it was an added thing Jason was making quite a while ago, and then people said that isn't what they wanted from him, so you could ignore it if you'd want.
  9. A modified Android I believe... I don't think you can run Android apps in it for example. I could be wrong, but from what I recall it's a very special OS.

    HELP!

Are the roms in the proper location? If they're not in the MAME roms folder, then you gotta tell MAME where they are so that the games you imported know where their parent and bios roms are. Also, which .183 set did you get? Split used to be my go to for .181 and lower, but since .182 (.183 included), I've had issues. So, if you have the bandwidth available to you, and you have a split, and we've exhausted the avenues, then it might be a broken split pack. Non-merged is the most compatible, but it takes up double the space, and merged doesn't work period in LaunchBox (it doesn't import correctly). For a CHD set though, keep in mind, they only come merged.
  11. Which I do, I bought a Switch for Zelda. My wife has played both, much more of Horizon cause we had it a few days earlier than Zelda. So I let her play Horizon on her days off, cause days off. Then when we got Zelda it's all mine. The first or second night she played a bunch, but since then it's been all me on Zelda. I almost forgot we have Horizon honestly. I've been streaming Zelda and it's been amazing.
  12. You could do the GPD Win, it's something that I want to look in to, but money. Just remember to keep your expectations in check with stuff like this, it's a portable windows machine, no gimp in terms of the OS. It is full windows, but the size, power, price. http://www.gpdwin.com/
  13. You can check the box when you edit an emulator to un-archive them, but I personally suggest to leave nothing in archives ever. That's just personal preference though. For Disc games you could save some decent space by leaving them zipped, but it's much much more of a headache. For certain systems, like PS1, PS2, PSP, GameCube, Wii, I have every compressed in non-archived compression, and it saves space without having to deal with it. For Saturn, there isn't another method, but I still would say to unarchive them.
  14. Uncheck all of the image boxes, and download them after the fact. At least this way you can get things imported faster. Or, uncheck all of the media except for Flyers (as this is what Arcade uses).
  15. Lets put it this way, my BackBlaze never actually "finished" from when I originally purchased it............ o,O;;
  16. When you go to download your artwork again, make sure to click on the platform on the left, then click a game, Ctrl + A, then go to Tools -> Download Metadata and Images. This way it will only download the artwork for what you've selected.
  17. You can stream your PC to the Shield, which can include LaunchBox. For $200-300 though, you're going to be very very limited. After doing a quick search for some i5 Intel NUC's, it's still much more than $200 USD. An i5 would be the lowest I would go. An alternative would also be a Steam Link, stream your PC to that as well, unless you want an android device for other things as well.
  18. I had to rename them manually, but Bulk Rename Utility, Metamorphose Renamer, etc, can get that job done very very easily.
  19. CrashPlan and BackBlaze are pretty much the same for anyone curious. Different companies, but unlimited storage, $5 a month. That's really cheap for unlimited storage.
  20. Oh damn, .184 Isn't out yet. I got my numbers moved up 1. So replaced .183 and .184 with .182 and .183. Otherwise, It seems others are pointing you in the right direction.
  21. Did you refresh the cache? Otherwise, open up LaunchBox, go to the playlist view, and where it has that empty space for images, right click and add an image. Make sure to set the type. From what I can tell, it's just like setting images for a game or platform manually too. I had more luck changing my platform images 1 by 1 by editing the platforms than dropping the images in to the folders.
  22. I've personally never felt the need to change that up for the videos I make, but I kind of get it. I also get why Jason has it displayed. Send him an e-mail, jason@unbrokensoftware.com and talk to him.
  23. Yea, since my loss, I keep my Production drive locally backed up and everything else to Backblaze. It's fantastic, and I'll be covered from now on.
