  1. I don't think there currently is. You could remove the platform and re-import your games and not download any images, but you'll also lose your favorites. That's currently the only way that I know of. If you'd like to request the feature be added, then click Issues/Requests at the top of the page and request the feature be added. Do a quick check to see if it's been added first, and if so please vote on that one instead, but if it hasn't then create your own and vote on that one.
  2. That's totally insane. I would have thought to go to one of the Light themes to be able to achieve smoothness, let alone increase performance and quality while running one of the more heavy (but most beautiful themes) we have available.
  3. I wont deny that last point, it sure as hell does, but it's still very much optional. At the same time, many HS users are much more happy to switch over because they don't have to deal with it anymore either.
  4. Well I am glad it's fixed up now. I also love your icon. MM is my favorite.
  5. Yea, themes can vary from theme to theme on performance. That's actually known. What I am surprised about is that the CriticalZone theme is one of the most demanding themes! So I am curious what BigCouch is doing that @CriticalCid isn't. I'm glad this was sorted out, i was curious about those specs running the HW core w/ Vulkan at all, so I am glad it's working well now.
  6. No, you can't take an NES box and make it an Arcade box. It would at most be a Fan Art creation, but even then, there's nothing saying you can't use it locally on your machine. Also, yea, I just edited the Guidelines recently to account for more changes, but Alex keeps making them, so I've been waiting to see what changes. I was making revisions, then my revisions would be out of date. I am eventually wanting to get them off of a Google Doc and on the site directly. The in-line stuff did also not work the way we wanted.
  7. I just replied to your other thread before I made it to this one...
  8. You can use the importer and add the roms with the Windows Search box, or use the Windows Search to filter out all the exe's you want to import, and drag them in to LB. It'll run through like normal, select / make the platform (PC), you'll select an emulator (it doesn't matter what), then import. Highlight all the games in that platform (Ctrl + A), then bulk edit them (right click -> edit), select emulator from the first drop down and then leave it blank. That's currently the easiest method. The Windows importer is a bit tricky, but I do think enhancing it is something Jason does want to do. If you have a folder of GOG shortcuts, you can import these the same way too. When you filter out the exe's, there might be extras, which you can remove extra items from the import's last screen by clicking on a game and then delete.
  9. Unfortunately, most PC specs never come down to the number that is quoted for the spec. Graphics cards and CPU's tell you the VRAM and Ghz, but this isn't the only thing a GPU or CPU does that matters. Big Box hardly uses any VRAM in a 4GB pool. It's more about how fast your VRAM is, how many CUDA cores are available (if Nvidia), the memory bus, how many PCI lanes your motherboard has, and even down to the technology they used when making it it. When they went from the GTX 900 series to the 1000 series, they improved performance by 15% (17%? can't remember exactly), just by shrinking the die size on the GPU (slightly oversimplified). Knowing that you're on a laptop with some older CPU and GPU tech, I do have to agree with Jason that this is probably where the issue is for the most part. There are some Themes out there that would be considered a light version if you'd like to check them out, themes can change this up quite a lot. Lowering the image quality in Big Box a big (you'll need to reset the cache), and lowering the quality / type of transition will also help. I missed your specs in the first post or I would have mentioned this sooner.
  10. I don't really play Doom, so no. I do know about a lot of engine ports, and engine ports that are WIP, I just don't use them too often cause I'm not playing those games too often.
  11. I don't think RL adds anything substantial for the time it takes to set up, but that's personal preference. It really does add an extra layer where things can, and do, break more often.
  12. You're gonna have a real hard time doing that. If you have the install in an archive, and it decompresses, that's (as far as I know), not going to work at all. I have most of my GOG games shortcut's in a folder. I would import those shortcuts, set a fake emulator, set the platform, then bulk edit that emulator off after they're imported. The decompression option only exists for games with emulators attached. I wouldn't recommend running games that way period, but it's doable obviously with roms. It's even technically possible with DOS games, but an extreme pain in the ass. It's just as much of one for PC games as well.
  13. Of course no problem! @Jason Carr is currently away on a trip, so when he gets back he'll be able to take a look at it more in depth.
  14. Sure, but the image types should be fairly simple to add in. I'm not sure if it's something he'll do this week, so I'm not sure. I want them there, the contribution is fantastic, but I'd hate to see you have to go back through and edit stuff you already did.
  15. If you're manually putting in media, then sure, IF you got the No-Intro set, but we don't follow their naming conventions. So if someone puts in the information and they've renamed their roms then it wont work.
  16. Unfortunately, that does seem to be an error on the PC side. I don't know where or how though.
  17. Yea, that could work if we hooked it up to the Database for example, but the only problem is that one size does not fit all. So the issue then becomes, who moderates and add's this because I am learning the more people that work on stuff, the more complicated and messed up it becomes. @Vlansix is trying to help solve some of those issues on the Database, but majority can't rule on this one. Compatibility also needs to come along with a users PC Spec, LB version, Emulator version, etc. This is a good idea, but how do we manage it.
  18. It just actually needs to be named after the rom file name or the name of the game in LaunchBox, then the cache refreshed. That's all it should take.
  19. For as smart computers are, sometimes their real dumb and need to be refreshed.
  20. We need to add new Image types, Reconstructed and Fan Art needs to be applied to more categories than it is, so I don't see why we couldn't add a Concept Art category too. @Vlansix
  21. Yea, currently you must be in the Playlists menu or the Platform Categories menu, and you need to edit the playlists for a Category for them to be there.
  22. If you could add a BitBucket ticket for this, so that it can be properly tracked I would appreciate it. Click Issues/Requests at the top and submit the bug there. I honestly have no clue how that's happening, but @Jason Carr can take a look in to it, unless he knows what could be causing it.
  23. Huh, must be an odd oversight. A ticket should be made for this at the BitBucket. I'll go ahead and let Jason know too.
  24. I went ahead and let @Vlansix know. He'll take a look at it when he gets the chance. Thank you for letting us know!
  25. Is it working for any other core? If it's working in the menu, then chances are it's fine in the config menu. So lets try this: Open up a game in RetroArch, then Press F1. It should start on or in the Quick Menu. If it's not open, open it, then go down to Controls. Open it up and make sure User 1 Device is set to SNES Joypad.
