  1. There's category buttons on the left that do this! No need to re-download everything, it re-assigns all of that info.
  2. Of course you can. MESS and MAME utilize controllers just fine.
  3. There is a Sounds folder that house sound folders, so sound packs can go in there and they change various Big Box sound effects. So yea, like Derek said, HS wasn't happy. We had permission from the theme holders, but the HS team still didn't want it to happen. Now that we have James though, videos will be coming out just for LaunchBox.
  4. Did you happen to move all of your games, or import them and have LaunchBox change where they are located? I do want to throw out there that even if you didn't import a specific rom file, they should all still be included in the same directory.
  5. Most, if not all, Neo Geo Video's are probably in a regular MAME or Arcade platform.
  6. There are two completely different aspects that users who convert are a bit confused on. There's themes, and then there's videos. Themes are created in XAML, anyone can create them and many users have. @CriticalCid here has created some great ones, along with many other users. Cid's theme specifically pair well with the new Platform Video's that James Baker is now creating for us, which is what you're mostly used to in HyperSpin. LaunchBox uses no traces of Flash. Video's are native and regular video formats that your pc can run, and LaunchBox is built with Microsoft published C++ libraries, and is in part what XAML is edited with, Visual Studio (or at least one program XAML can be edited with). XAML can also be edited via text files, but that can get cumbersome. It's also worth noting that you don't need James' video to place here, you can technically place any video you have or want there, as long as it plays in Windows Media Player or VLC, you're good to go. These are also different from the Game Video's that are downloaded from EmuMovies within LaunchBox, if you have LB and EM Premium. James' videos can also be downloaded from within LB with LB Premium as well. Otherwise, platform and game video's can be completely supplied by the user manually, if they have anything.
  7. You need LaunchBox and EmuMovies Premium. There have been lots of threads and a video on this:
  8. @Maddoc1007 posted a ton of awesome different images, I don't know if you checked these out yet: http://forums.launchbox-app.com/profile/65699-maddoc1007/content/?type=downloads_file
  9. In the download section there's some odd ones. Which are you looking for?
  10. It was something from a while ago, but it seems you got that fixed up, so nevermind.
  11. Sweet, glad you got it fixed.
  12. It's alright, there's tons of threads to go through, so it's easy to get lost.
  13. WMP is kept for machines who can't run VLC well. Some slower machines work a lot better with WMP.
  14. Making your own thread is totally fine, but there is a Beta thread if you also want to post there: I've forwarded this to Jason though. Thanks for letting us know.
  15. NMM's downloader is working again. I was manually downloading, adding them to NMM and going that route. There's an option to reset the categories for mods that were manually added in as well, so you can fix their categories.
  16. Did you try resetting the Image Cache in the Big Box options?
  17. Have you seen these? Check out our download section: http://forums.launchbox-app.com/files/ On the right, "Game Media".
  18. I think the Big Box Marquee feature that can utilize a second screen also fits in here fairly well. There still needs to be some cool themes that take advantage of this, but something like this could also be set up there as well.
  19. I knew it all was going to get ported eventually, the teams expressed interest before the game was released, but didn't know how different it would be. After NMM was having some serious server issues I just hadn't gone back in to check through things, so the fact this thread has updates from within the last 24 hours makes me hopeful! I know it will come eventually, but the sooner the better.
  20. Both API's should download during import or afterwards with the Metadata and Media downloader in Tools -> Download Metadata and Media. Use Ctrl + A to highlight all the games you have, then run the downloader and choose the second option so that way a bunch of stuff doesn't get re-downloaded. Also, for EmuMovies to download video, you need an EmuMovies Premium and LaunchBox Premium, but it looks like you have both as the option has popped up, so like I said, it shouldn't just not download something. Did you happen to get a server or api error?
  21. You don't even need a batch file per-se, but I was thinking a batch file so that it gets executed, then you can set a delay so that the image pops up after the game has started so that the image is on top, so if Controller Automation does work on the image window, you can close the image window and go straight in to the game without needing many extra steps.
  22. Well I would honestly start by using both Databases, and use the check box to prefer EmuMovies, that way you at least know all the holes are being filled. That said, I am unsure why this is happening, it really shouldn't be.
  23. I said the same thing. This, SkyUI (when it gets ported, if it is, I don't know about it yet), and SKSESE? I have no clue what they're gonna call it for Special Edition, but the Script Extender is a must have as well, when that is ported. That's the main reason why SkyUI isn't here yet. I have a non-SKSESE version of it that I grabbed before they pulled. Yea, the load times are not that great on PS3 and 360, they were better on PS3 early in a save games life, but worse at the end of a save games life than the 360 with the way the RAM handled stuff. The PS3 had a ton of Skyrim problems because of it. The 360 only benefited because of less bugs and late game was a bit better on performance. PS4 and Xbox One are a lot faster still, but eventually save bloat will kill them too. The longer and older a save is, it's just a fact that the game will start taking longer and longer to load every time you need to call a loading screen.
  24. You could do something like that with Additional Apps, but what program, how to do that specifically, and then how to close the window to go back to the game I am unsure. If the Controller Automation Close function works on another window, you could make a simple bat that runs when the game starts, set it to delay to open until after the Emulator loads (so the emulator doesn't load on top of the image), see the image, close it with controller automation, then start playing the game.
