I don't ever put my ROMs inside of LaunchBox.

LB doesn't need the parent ROM only the emulator does so as long as your ROMs are all together in the same folder the game will work. You should really look at Lightspeed by Antropus it lets you filter really deeply and add the specific clones that you want during the import its really maximized if you have all the right data in your MAME folders but it filtering capability is more sophisticated than what is allowed in LaunchBox. I do however suggest that you try to make a removable version of LB to run it on before you try on your main install or just make sure you make a copy of your XML before running it. Yes LB makes backups and Lightspeed does too (I think) but if you make a copy right there in your folder and name it LaunchBoxXML1 and something goes wrong all you have to do is delete the 1 and your back in business which to me is just easier to do. Sorry it got a little long winded.

If you go to Tools > Manage Emulators> choose your DC emulator from the list and click edit. A form for that emulator will pop up and there should be a check box to unpack ROM archives check that and it should be good to go only issue is I know LB looks for .cue to mount and for DC you are looking for .CDI or .GDI so I don't know how well it works for those file types.

For that to work you first have to pick the hold key and then the two buttons in conjunction execute the command.

I was in no way implying that Cid was being a dick at all. I'm explaining people trepidation at just taking these things without the creators permission regardless if that person has any actual legal rights to the material which plainly they do not.

Its not about the legality so much as not being a dick to other people in the retro gaming community.

Dolphin is running at 5x native with no issues with the Intel HD 2500 if I turned it up to 1.5x it would show some slowing and at 2x would become unusable. So definitely an improvement RA shaders that used to choke my system all run now without issue.

My new MSI 950 arrived today and I went ahead with my plan to move the board from my slim case Dell Inspiron 660S and install it in an old IBM case. First the board actually did fit in the case so despite its age this is mostly the same. Next I installed the drives and the PCIe cards (GPU & MSATA adapter). Then we hit our first hitch the PSU would in no way stand up and fit in the case in a way that the plug was accessible and the case didn't have matching screw holes for it any way so I have it laying in there with the fan facing up pushed back with the cord coming into the case. After that I I had to rig up the card reader and the frontpanel usb which don't fit the case so they are just sitting in the 2nd optical bay slot. The power button was also a mismatch and I have to push the internal part of the button from the old case which is just hanging out of the case. So basically it looks like shit. If I can mod the top on the case and feed the power button out the top I'll be ok if not Its back online for a new case.

Any ticket I make I also make a forum post and link the ticket in the post at least trying to raise awareness of it.

The manual reading from inside the program would be a welcome addition.

It is going to require a reimport and while it does suck because of the time you spent the time you save will be astronomical. Also as long as you don't delete any of your folders all of your images will still be there after the reimport.

When you import into LB using the import wizard if you specify the emulator as MAME it should have an extra form that lets you filter out a lot of junk. I believe I got around 3K games with the filter last time I ran it. If you already have your own MAME metadata you can also you Lightspeed importer. It was created by another user and there is a long thread about it on the forums it may help. The users name is Antropus so if you search his name you will see it in his posts. Also check out the YouTube tutorial on MAME as Brad show what I was talking about in the first sentence

Yeah what do you mean add SSF for each game. Are you trying to bulk edit the emulator for the platform? If so just use ctrl+a to highlight all the games and press ctrl+e to open the bulk edit wizard from when you get to the form that says to add your value you want to change type E and emulator should pop up then choose SSF from the next drop down and you should be good to go.

LaunchBox is translated into French but I'm not sure if only the program is in French and the metadata is in English as I've only ever used it in English. If that is the case I have no clue where you could find French translated metadata.

Must be broken then. I just used it the other day to get GameCube 3D games in bulk but that was probably the last beta. I'll test. Edit: Is this not working on an import or when you choose all the games in a platform and download metadata and images. I just tested it with NES highlighted all games with ctrl+A then ran the metadata wizard turned off everything except 3D box for both LBDB and EM and let it run switch the image type on display to 3D boxes and it worked for me in beta 9.

When downloading in bulk is 3D image checked in the checkboxes it used to be off by default before.

Its a lot of work and you have to set it up individually there is a .bat file somewhere on the forums and it does work but I get some games that work setting it up manually that don't work if you use the .bat so I just set them up individually

It's already a requested feature.

I used to use multiple .bat's for Demul but its totally unnecessary. I'm not at the computer I have it set up on at the moment or I would post the screen shots of how to set up the Arcade side of Demul and the Dreamcast side because the checkboxes needed differ you will need to point to the emulator 2 separate times. As soon as I get a minute I will go grab the screenshots and post them back Edit:

Didn't know you could mod the Wii U yet.

I recently played Carmen San Diego Secrets of the Stolen Drums and it says it playable but after you play through for a pretty long time it freezes when trying to get on the steamboat in N.O. I hope that they fix that soon me and my brother were playing together and having a good time only to get stuck. I just need to mod my Wii I have a Wii U so even if I brick it I'm not out to much.
