  1. how would you propose that it know to sort it in a secondary way unless you direct it to.
  2. everything for playing the games has to be configured inside the emulator.
  3. If you edit a game and go into the other tab there is a line for a sort title
  4. If you save just that data folder it will save all the things you set up in Launchbox this will not back up your images videos or other stuff to back those up you would have to backup all of those folders. This will not backup your games also now if all of your games are in Launchbox then backing up the whole folder will back up everything.
  5. maybe @Jason Carr can verify this but when you tell it yes but don't need any new components of Direct X it doesn't actually install anything it just checks for them so I don't understand why people are against just hitting yes and running the check.
  6. yes unfortunately the cloud sync feature has nothing to do with backing up your collection. You should always have a copy of your data folder on another drive or in the cloud this way if something goes wrong and you lose your drive then your work isn't gone if you didn't have this backed up properly on your own then unfortunately all of your work is gone and you will have to start over from scratch.
  7. I have this in the folder with my emulator but I'm not sure where I picked it up and which version it pertains to naomi.compat.txt
  8. do you have an all games category if so go there and see how many games it shows. If you don't have an all platform go in to tools options and turn it on with the checkbox.
  9. I think Neil completely misunderstood that you meant the 3DO core and not the MAME core over standalone MAME (either that or I'm completely confused by his post)
  10. The RA core is fine I think I've got the games and I've gotten them running but never really spent much time playing any of the games so can't really say.
  11. I don't think MAME works properly with 3DO
  12. No there currently isn't anyway to get around that.
  13. Did you refresh the cache in the BigBox settings
  14. probably should cut it not copy it just to avoid any conflicts if you change one and not the other.
  15. so let me get this straight one of you is using Unified Refried and the other is using Unified? Do you see the same behavior when you switch themes?
  16. From last I remember F355 doesn't work in Demul
  17. Okay if you can't load it at all then I would check the ini file like I suggested and try changing your video driver from auto to d3d if that doesn't work here is a list of all video options MAME uses <bgfx|gdi|d3d|opengl|soft|accel|none> so you can try testing some of those out too.
  18. I just want to add that Jason updates the main info from MAME rather quickly but certain dats and files aren't available right away and so it may have things added to what data you will get over a few day period.
  19. Let me ask another question can you load MAME outside of Launchbox?
  20. do you have a MAME.ini file in your root MAME folder? If you do try locating the video driver and change it from auto to d3d and see if that does anything.
  21. I don't know if I would say its a Windows 10 conflict unless its a machine specific Windows 10 conflict MAME works great for me on multiple Windows 10 PCs
  22. You are reading it wrong he is trying to used the built in tool to unpack compressed games in LB but it is loading the cue which is normal for most emulators except PCSX2 which needs to load the bin.
  23. I use this Drivepooling software https://stablebit.com/drivepool all it does is creates a folder on each drive you add to the pool then everything in the pool is seen as one drive you can then set different levels of duplication as you see fit. you can even add things outside of the pool and use the drive just like you would any other drive. It leaves your drives in ntfs format and if you lose a drive you just pop a new one in add it to the pool and it will find the files that are missing duplication (if you have it set) and it will just add them to the new drive I've been using it since 2012 and its one of the best software purchases I've ever made.
  24. You can drag and drop multiple folders from the same directory too if they are single file games.
  25. Okay I used the new full set MAME importer in LB to get mine so maybe that is where the difference is. I would try using the add button in the bottom right corner and just adding the game manually if you are having an issue with just that specific game. One the form opens to add the game just click browse navigate to where the game is and click on the sfiii2.zip and then change the name to the proper title.
