  1. So, decided to get serious and load this up after it's been sitting on my HD for months now. Game is gorgeous, but seems a bit on the easy side. I've breezed through the first 2-3 hours and am now at the Russin train yard. Thinking of upping the difficulty to max as it's not all that enjoyable at this point. It feels more like a walking/spelunking/explore abandoned buildings simulator at this point than anything.
  2. remember when I was trying to install Dragon Age Inquisition on my PC. God did I rage HAM... I had a dual core which didn't play nice with that game, so, i was upgradding my CPU anyway and jumped to a quad core Intel. My rig more than met all the specs, but the game took forever to load to just the Bioware splash screen, then it ran at like 0.0005 FPS. Took 10 mins to get to the start screen, animation was painfully slow. FPS improved to about 2 FPS at this point I just couldn't understand why this game would not run as it should. Thought I had maybe missed something upgrading my drivers, so I re-installed those, still no dice. At this point, I think i caught a major virus and was forced to reinstall W7 despite my valiant efforts to remove said malware. I managed to remove most, but not all. Hated to thought of reinstalling, but did and low and behold, after a fresh install, DAI ran and boy did it. Everything maxed out and running at 60 FPS
  3. yeah, heard that somewhere a looooong time ago and it stuck i'm such a digital hoarder it's not funny. I have TB upon TB of data i know i will never ever ever sort through in my lifetime but. just.can't.seem.to.press...delete (sry starting to derail thread here)
  4. well, I've been very faithful over the decades of gaming of supporting game devs by buying new when I can, which has been pretty often. However, I do subscribe to the Pokerom syndrome, which is "Gotta collect 'em all." I have full romsets of pretty much everything and anything out there that is available mainly for archive purposes, but also to make sure no gem goes unplayed.
  5. this. I figured Sony would soon follow suit now that Microsoft has now enabled XB1 games playable with W10 PC's.(Forza 6 Apex is gorgeous on my PM running at 60FPS) I now have no reason to purchase an XB1 console and hopefully will not need to purchase a PS4 console to enjoy their libraries.
  6. man you're GPU game is strong...
  7. Can't mention RAGE without these guys who are/were just as politically aware

  13. I never get sick of DP's. They've been in steady rotation on my end since their fist LP dropped in what '94? From cassette to CD to ipod. Wish they would re-form like Voltron and give their fans what we so sorely miss.
  14. try these guys to help ease you into hip hop...
  15. just paste the youtube link to your post, hit enter and viola!
  16. So, what video card are you currently running? I've got an XFX R9 290x 8gb and love it to death. Not as loud as folks make it out to be and can handle most games on Ultra with my i5 4670, 16gb RAM with a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO. Just upgraded my drivers last week to be able to run Forza 6 Apex and i'm very impressed. How 'bout you all?

  20. love 50's and 60's progressive jazz. Love Davis and Coltrane, but honestly, they're too cliche. Dexter Gordon, Lee Morgan is where my heart is at. beyond that, I adore the Smiths, Smashing Pumpkins, and can't get enough ATCQ. My tastes are all over the map. When the mood is right, love popping in some Rollins Band, Minor Threat, RATM, Tool and Pantera.
  21. don't know why i left off racketboy, been a fellow racketeer since early 2000's. Will check out The Jimquisition too, sounds unbiased and informative.
  22. So, what sites are your go-to, must have, must check daily gaming related websites? One I frequent is hardcore gaming 101 (http://www.hardcoregaming101.net/) I love the rich history it gives on some popular series in gaming history, and some lesser known titles complete with unbiased reviews and screenshots often comparing how the titles compared across the platforms they were released for. I've been able to find quite a few gems here that fly under the radar. What gaming related sites are your favorite and why?
  23. good stuff man. Will give her a test drive since i've been wanting to start my MAME inport from scratch to cull quite a bit of fluff out. This seems like just what the doctor ordered.
  24. welp, no one commented on it so I thought I would. Looking for more hidden features...
