  1. Very nice. Will take a look at their FAQ's to see if it'll cause any issues with my heavily-modded Skyrim build. On a semi-related note, the remaster dropping this fall will have 64-bit support which will hopefully lift the 3.5GB memory cap on RAM which...should lead to some very interesting things with mods.
  2. Jason, I just discovered the other day what happens when you drag your mouse pointer over the lauch box logo up at the top left corner of the screen! It's a nifty feature that I enjoy toying with. Many thanks again for the new forums
  3. niglurion, love your work. any chace for a platinum NGC variant?
  4. yep, I was too late to the AMR2 site as their links were all dead, but was able to grab it elsewhere with not to much effort needed. Will check out this weekend.
  5. Jason and staff, new forums are sweet. Very nice and just wanted to say thanks:)
  6. DOS76 said If the game is available in both regions no one should be changing the game they should be adding a new game with the regional specific media and metadata in the other region but definitely not be changing them to take any games out of the other region so absolutely any changes like this should be rejected by all mods and maybe the ability to change these moves to instead additions to the other region by mods. Even in the DB if the systems where merged again and then there were say regional tabs for game entries so say your looking at a game that has (multiple country) releases in Europe, Japan and US. So you sign in to the DB and go to the before mentioned hypothetical game. Then you would most likely default to the US version of the game but then you could click on the tabs and go to Japan and enter your art there your meta there you could fill in the region title if it wasn't the same then for the Europe you could repeat but also have additional fields to include regional metadata I don't know if we want to go as far as to add every cover for every country I'm not particularly against it but I wouldn't go all fascist in order to see it implemented either. At this point I don't really care how we handle the platform in the DB as long as a way to get accurate regional images comes into play and I can separate them by platform I'm happy. I know not everyone agrees with this but they are different very much so they may be the same hardware inside but many of them don't have the same controllers the same cart slots the same look. The boxes look terrible all mixed together in my opinion I hate seeing a hodgepodge of boxes. By your reasoning your telling me because I owned a Sega Master System I also owned a Mark III and its just not true. I've logged mad hours playing NES but I've never touched a Famicom so I don't see them as being the same thing at all. if we had a karma system here, i'd +1 you since I agree wholeheartedly. Furthermore, there are sometimes regional differences as shown here for example: http://www.hardcoregaming101.net/kenseiden/kenseiden.htm On the surface it may seem like it's the same game just for a different region, but that's not always the case. There are more than a few here that appreciate the regional differences albeit minor, but add to our retro experience all the more so.
  7. CriticalCid said This assumes that the rom files even have the region tag. It also would mean that LB would treat rom file names differently than it's always done - which is to ignore text within special characters. I would say once again that this is probably harder to implement than it sounds - it'd have to be setup in such a way as to recognize the region tag (which can be in a number of different forms like U/US/USA/NA/NTSC and J/JAP/JPN etc.) and simultaneously ignore everything else in special characters. It seems possible, but potentially problematic. Here's a random C64 rom file name from my library: Rick Dangerous (1989)(Firebird Software)[cr REM][t +6 REM][a][Docs].d64 Gooooooood luck with that haha Couldn't the No-Intro naming convention (which are what most of us are probably using) be useful? Could the lettered region tag in the rom title itself be used to determine region specific console and all associated artwork? P.S. My set up is just like Critical Cid's with everything separated and love it FTW. That's just how I roll.
  8. w00t! thanks for the heads up Jason. Looking very forward to the new layout. Thanks for all your hard work
  9. Thanks, it was more of an enhancement if anything and the bezel I posted was from the RL forums too. Was jsut trying to see if there was any interest in having a section dedicated to them. I appreciate your feedback and will see what I can collect from various forums. thanks,
  10. I put this up on bitbucket and not sure how much traffic it'll get, but, since RocketLauncher now works along with LB and we are starting to have community created content, any interest in having a RL media section, for bezels specifically? I ran across this last week and thought it'd be a nice touch that would add a little spice... thoughts? P.S. Mods, not sure if this is the correct forum, my apologies in advance.
  11. good deal. I'm fairly new to RA, and just browsed their forums with with looks like a few more shaders. Will see what I can grab and experiment with. Thanks for the direction lord
  12. lordmonkus said Analog Shader Pack v3 Released. The user solid12345 over on the Retroarch forums has released his big pack of shaders. This adds a big pile of new shader effects for people to try and find that perfect look. Here is the link to the forum post with the download link over there http://libretro.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6577&p=44473&posted=1#post44473 I'm gonna go through them all now and see what I can find that I might use. If i update my shaders in RA itself, will what that user released be included in the update, or would i have to dl them and move into the appropriate folder in RA?
  13. I like it... is it up on bitbucket to vote for by chance?
  14. zomb, awesome work as usual! I love the Skyrim reference in your Windows logo and the third Gameboy logo you posted just above is hella sweet! Thanks for creating and sharing.
  15. Zombeaver, that MGS PSX logo is nuts!!! very smooth. thanks for the different shader options to choose from.
  16. RIP KAT... was good while it lasted. Maybe we'll see it resurface again similar to TPB?
  17. I like your idea keeping the wheel art in line with and as close to colors and script that was particular to that platform. I'm anxiuos to see what you come up with.
  18. zombeaver, very nice! youre work reminds me of some wide-icon banners that were up on xbox-scene a loooooong time ago when i was using my oXbox for emulation. Lemme see if i still have them. maybe they'll inspire someone...
  19. Cadet Stimpy said FWIW, I don't have a Facebook account, and I'm keeping it that way. Same here, so you're not alone. Never felt the need for it personally. I only want to be kept in touch with so much. Anyone that needs to reach me has my cell/email. Not knocking it by any means it's just my personal preference is all
  20. love the background as it lends itself to the system, but not feeling the font and color of the wheel art. That's just me, if you like it, rock it!
  21. very nice circo! moar MOAR!! (please)

    very new noob

just go for both LB premium and a paid Emumovies account,It'll make your set-up complete. You're getting so much contect for a fraction of a price. Take the plunge my friend.
  23. Thanks Brad. Unfortunately, my set did not import and display as yours did.
