  1. Version 1.4.5

    2,136 downloads

These are platform banners that I've created for Big Box that have been available on the forums for some time now but haven't actually been in the downloads section. I'm uploading them here as some may not be aware of them. Platforms currently covered: 3DO Amiga Arcade (2 variants) Atari 8-bit Atari 2600 Atari 5200 Atari 7800 Atari Jaguar Atari ST (2 variants) Atomiswave Capcom CPS-1 (2 variants) Capcom CPS-2 (2 variants) Capcom CPS-3 Classic PC (custom platform) Commodore 64 GCE Vectrex MS-DOS Neo Geo Neo Geo Pocket Color Nintendo 64 Nintendo DS Nintendo Entertainment System Nintendo Gamecube Nintendo Game Boy (2 variants) Nintendo Game Boy Advance Nintendo Game Boy Color (2 variants) Nintendo Wii PC/Windows PC Engine PC Engine-CD (2 variants) ScummVM Sega 32X Sega CD Sega Dreamcast Sega Game Gear Sega Genesis Sega Master System (2 variants) Sega Model 2 Sega Naomi (2 variants) Sega Saturn Sony Playstation Sony Playstation 2 Sony PSP Super Nintendo Entertainment System SuperGrafx Taito Type X TurboGrafx-16 TurboGrafx-CD (2 variants) Sharp X68000 I will continue to create more based on requests as time allows. If you have a specific request, post it in the comments and I'll see what I can do. Other image/video projects:
  2. Here are some for SuperGrafx. Mado King Granzort... it uh... it sure is a game! ...the options for SuperGrafx are fairly limited Ghouls 'n Ghosts will be on the banner. Normal: Scanlines: Normal - Version 2: Scanlines - Version 2:
  3. Those kind of emulator-specific settings have to be set within the emulator itself. The same is true for Retroarch or basically anything else. Generally speaking, LB is essentially just directing a specific file (rom) to a specific application (emulator) and possibly injecting some launch commands into the command line - not at all unlike a shortcut in Windows. Any kind of configuration - controls, shaders, etc. - has to be done within the individual emulator. DOSBox is the only emulator that LB hooks into directly for config editing. Regarding CCS64 specifically, a 360 controller should work out of the box without any configuration. Just keep in mind that you may need to switch the joystick port from game to game - you can press Alt + F10 to switch them.
  4. The associated platform tab just needs to be directed to whatever platform you want to associate the emulator with (in your case "Commodore 64" or however you have it named in your library). You don't need all that. It just needs whatever you named the platform in your library, and whether or not you want to set that as the default emulator for that platform. Hoxs64 (or my preferred C64 emulator - CCS64) doesn't require any special command line parameters.
  5. PC Engine and PC Engine-CD are now available as well. Next up will be Jaguar, Game Boy, and Game Gear.
  6. 32X video is now available, SuperGrafx is rendering, and PC Engine/PC Engine-CD will be after that.
  7. You'll get caught up in the crossfiyah? Err... what were we talking about again?
  8. Hmm... well that's true but I'm assuming that most people have them as one platform regardless. I have everything in TG16/CD regardless of whether they were actually PCE exclusives or not (similarly I only have an SNES platform despite having a lot of English translations of Super Famicom exclusive games). I'm not necessarily opposed to doing a separate one though assuming I can find a source video that's specifically for PCE. Thanks!
  9. Maybe try creating/directing to separate cfgs as well?
  10. Yep, that's no problem. Now that I've got everything setup for these in Vegas the way I want, I can generally just swap out video files from one to the next and the rest basically falls into place, so making more of these doesn't take much time unless I have to custom-assemble clips (I had to do this for the Classic PC and Windows platforms). I don't know if you saw but I posted clear logos and a banner for 32X earlier.
  11. TurboGrafx-16 and TurboGrafx-CD are already done - there's no text in the videos so no need for alternate versions.
  12. It still works based on the last nightly I tested which had per core overrides:
  13. These are now available in the downloads section. Enjoy! Original Post:
  14. Here are some new logos for 32X. Tempo was yet another failed attempt at mascot creation in an era of over-saturation in that area, but despite being a failure sales-wise it's actually a pretty good game - one of the better ones on the 32X in fact (not that that's necessarily saying a whole lot, but still). Normal: Scanlines: Normal - Version 2: Scanlines - Version 2:
  15. Here's a new one for 32X. Cosmic Carnage: not-so-great game but a pretty-great cover
  16. You set it to filets? jk jk jk Thanks for the update Jason! The memory function seems to be working great here!
  17. That's not exactly a huge deal. If you run/save/load the game through LB it plays fine. I also use it for the CD version. In the worst case scenario you could always rename previous save files if you'd created them outside of LB.
  18. You're very welcome! Thank you for the kind words. There definitely are some very interesting games worth looking into on the Amiga. I've got a couple projects I'm working on currently but once those are done I've got a few more of these I'd like to do - C64, Atari 8-bit computers and DOSBox are the main ones I'm planning.
  19. None was inflicted. You're as welcome to your opinion as I am to mine. You asked a question and I answered. If the set isn't to your own tastes, that's fine - there are plenty of alternatives here that are exactly what you're looking for. The beauty of LB/BB is that anyone can adjust them to their own tastes and however they see fit; and the more people contribute these kinds of assets, the more options we all have. I have a specific aesthetic that I'm going for and stick with, but there's nothing to say everyone has to (or should) like it as much as I do. Ultimately I made these for myself - I had a specific aesthetic that I wanted for my own collection; but at the same time there's no reason not to share that with the community because others might like it too. I already invested the time and effort into making them - no reason to hoard them
  20. No command line parameters are actually necessary for using CCS64 via Launchbox. One thing I have encountered though is that if the rom filename contains certain special characters (apostrophes in particular) or are especially long that can cause a problem when trying to launch them through LB, even if they launch normally in CCS64 itself. You may want to try renaming the file and seeing if that helps.
  21. Thanks! I was working on a project to do some platform backgrounds a while back but there didn't seem to be much interest in it. You can find some of them here:
  22. That's not the same thing. Alt+Q is manually enabling warp/uncapping the speed, which you can also do in CCS64 (Alt + F3) but that's not what I'm referring to. The "Maximum 1541 Speed" option in CCS64 enables warp automatically (as in, without you doing/pressing anything) and then disengages when loading is complete. There's no such feature in Hoxs64 to my knowledge.
