I'm not sure what you're asking. Follow the instructions in the opening post. You install the plugin and download them.

Have you tried turning on threaded video? Also, if you're using hard gpu sync, turn frame delay to 0.

Just use software rendering at 1x. It'll look like standalone except you'll have all the other benefits of RA at your disposal (like shaders).
-
It's probably a non-software rendering bug. When you use something other than software like GL or Vulkan accuracy decreases, especially once you start using some of the PGXP and other options. I can tell you it doesn't look like that with the software renderer.

If you use .tap files, you get the full tape loading experience... which I don't recommend to anyone lol I absolutely love the C64, grew up with one, and still have a real one at my disposal... emulation is the way to go. As much as I love C64 games, the hassles surrounding actually using one are pretty awful. Any nostalgia you might have for it will wear off with a single 30-minute load time. We primarily used the 1541 disk drive (which is already faster than tape), and we had the benefit of an Epyx Fast Load cart, and load times were still pretty terrible for some games. Back in the day, there were some places you could actually record them straight off the radio. Pretty neat. https://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2012/08/experiments-in-airborne-basic-buzzing-computer-code-over-fm-radio/ http://www.kotaku.co.uk/2014/10/13/people-used-download-games-radio

Well, the 128 game one is there in the link haha. That would be a good place for people to start. That's my personal "C64 greatest hits" mix. I'll do a big one once I'm done but it takes a while. Partly because I'm actively curating the stuff that I'm adding, then setting them up, then testing them to make sure they're working (you have to keep in mind that there are often 20+ versions of any given game, released by various groups over the years, and not all of them work perfectly). I'm at 410 games so far, but it takes time and you're talking about a library of literally about 30,000 games for me to sift through. I had a library of about 300 games that I converted over first, then I started branching out into finding new stuff. I've been going through screenshots from Gamebase alphabetically and am currently into the B's lol

I use Steem for Atari ST. It works quite well but requires a bit of work to get things like multi-disk games setup in LB. Doable though. I don't recommend MAME for C64. Lots of stuff doesn't work. Even they don't recommend using it in its current state. As James mentioned, I do have a package on my site that's a curated collection of 128 C64 games that are basically setup and ready to go, and can be imported into existing Launchbox libraries (the "Import-Only Version"): https://www.zombs-lair.com/c64-dreams I use a rather unconventional setup of running the DOS version of CCS64 within DOSBox. I used the Windows version of CCS64 for years, but it has a few too many annoyances/bugs that simply aren't present in the DOS version. There are other options like Hoxs64 and Vice, but I prefer the way I do it on balance. The main thing is that CCS64 has a feature not found in any other C64 emulator out there, called Maximum 1541 Speed, and it's amazing. It's essentially an auto-warp function that automatically detects when a game is attempting to read from the disk, automatically uncaps the emulation speed so it runs much much faster than normal while it's loading, and then when it detects that the load is complete it automatically drops it back down to normal speed, without you having to touch anything. On a platform plagued with long load times, I can't overstate how useful this is. The DOSBox mapper function also allows me to assign a number of useful functions to controller buttons/combinations of buttons like joystick port swapping, warp, etc. The format I use is admittedly somewhat time-consuming to setup, but worth it to me in the long run. I've converted my entire C64 library over to this and have been in the process of adding new games, and I've currently setup 410 games in this format. I plan on releasing a larger set eventually. If you test it out and like it, I can walk you through how to replicate it for more games and/or just add any specific games that you want to my to-do list.

I've outright talked about emulation/Launchbox on the Steam boards and nobody's ever had a problem with it; nor should they - neither is illegal. https://steamcommunity.com/app/353380/discussions/0/483368433104667829/ https://steamcommunity.com/app/353380/discussions/0/485623406943314193/ Sounds like someone's just ban-happy without having any idea what they're talking about. That said, they're within their right, dumb as it may be, to ban for any reason (even dumb/misinformed ones). That's just the way it goes.

As has been said, you're importing the wrong files. You need the .cues not the .bins. Changing the extension isn't going to work because that's still not going to be the right filename based on your screenshot - that would mean it'd still have "(track 1)" in the filename which is wrong. 1) Remove the games from you LB library 2) Go into the folder where the games are located and use windows search for ext:cue and then drag those files directly into the LB UI and use the import wizard OR 2) Use the import wizard as normal and then on the final screen where you're confirming what to import, click the top of the filetype column to sort them and then select everything that isn't a .cue and press the delete key on your keyboard Import the right files and it will work. -
If you go into Retroarch\autoconfig, you should see some .cfg files that you've created. You could try changing the "input_device = " line to a different name, but I honestly don't know if this will break anything. I've always left them as-is.

You can setup hotkeys using whatever buttons you want, select doesn't have to be one of the included buttons. You just need to go into Input -> Input Hotkey Binds and set one key to "Enable hotkeys" (at which point you'll need to hold this down for any other hotkey function to work) and the other to "Quit Retroarch". Alternately you can use Launchbox's Controller Automation function to do the same thing, if you have Premium.

Based on what you're describing, what you need isn't per-core/platform remaps, you just need to setup controller autoconfigs. Essentially what these are are profiles for specific controllers, so when you plug in controller A, it recognizes what type of controller it is and uses the controls you specifically setup for it, then you can plugin controller B, it recognizes what type of controller it is and uses the controls you specifically setup for it, and so on. You know how when you plug in a controller with RA running or whenever you start it up how it says "Controller blahblah connected"? That's where it's indicating that a specific type of controller is connected and which port it's going to use it for. What can happen if you don't setup autoconfigs for each different type of controller is that it doesn't understand what you want to do with it and just uses a default (like an Xbox controller layout) even if the specific controller you've plugged in doesn't support the same buttons/sticks/etc. I had this happen to me when I first tried to use a USB SNES pad. You need to set each of them up one at a time with autoconfigs. Plug in one controller, go to Settings > Input, make sure "Autoconfig Enable" is set to on, then go down to Input User 1 Binds, use "User 1 Bind All" and then select "User 1 Save Autoconfig". Now unplug that controller, plug in the next controller, and repeat the above steps. Now whenever you plug in each controller it should use whatever you've specified for each controller individually.

You can choose this in the settings menu for the plugin. Go to tools -> PCSX2 Configurator Settings. There's a browse button for where you want them saved.

I'm getting a fairly frequent crash when starting some games. And another somewhat less frequent crash just while browsing around clicking on different games.

I don't know, you'd have to talk to @alec100_94. I'm not sure what would cause that. Still working correctly here.

Yes. You'll probably need to start up PCSX2 once afterwards, to set the bios, etc. but that's it. The game configs will be fine.

Blood. Who do you think I am, some scrub?
-
Okay, thanks! I'll try it out tonight.
-
Ah ha! That was indeed it! Thank you! Much much better! I do notice that the boxes appear to be top aligned though, rather than centered vertically like in OG LB. If possible, a vertical centering option would be nice.
-
With these settings in OG LB: I get this (which is what I want): With the same settings in Next: I get this: I just want the same look that I can currently get in OG LB - nice big boxes, 4 across, with almost no spacing on the sides, top, and bottom. Even if I set all of the spacing to 0 in Next's settings, there are still huge vertical and horizontal gaps between them (it looks basically identical to the above).
-
And, just to confirm, the ones that its downloading are working correctly? If Tekken 5 is working correctly, the cutscenes will look normal - if not, there will be vertical lines in them.

I don't know what would cause that, @alec100_94 would have to chime in there. He said that might indicate a network problem, though I don't know what you would need to do to resolve it. I doubt that's an issue, but I don't know.

When a config is downloaded or updated, this message box will appear: @alec100_94 I am noticing something strange specifically with Soul Calibur III's config - when I try to redownload it, it's now creating a folder named SoulCalibur III (no space) as opposed to Soul Calibur III as it's been in the past (and is still named this way in my library), and it still has it listed with a space in the custom command-line field, so it then doesn't find the rest of the config and it gives an error about not being able to find the plugins. It would appear that the name has changed in the Games DB since the config was originally uploaded (from Soul Calibur III to SoulCalibur III now). I think this could be fixed by making the command-line parameter use the DB name rather than your library title. If you had just imported the game into your library, presumably there wouldn't be a problem, because it would have named it SoulCalibur III on import and everything would work.
