  1. Which Golden Tee game are you trying to get working ? After some quick testing here on my end the first Golden Tee game doesn't use the trackball, it uses a joystick but Golden Tee Classic does use the trackball and the settings I posted do work and through LB.
  2. Yeah sometimes FBA and Mame roms are compatible but not always, the best practice in what you are trying to do is to setup a different platform for your FBA rom set. Yeah, you can have them in the same "Arcade" platform in 2 different installs of LB but doing it in a single install is bound to cause issues like the one you are running into.
  3. Let me just stop this right here, this is not how things should be done, if you are importing a different set of roms for a different emulator they should have their own platform.
  4. The best approach to this is to remove all the games from the platform and re-import only the .cue files (or whatever is appropriate for the emulator for that platform). When you do the import don't just import the whole folder, use the Windows search function to look for *.cue in the main folder and select those files only for the import.
  5. Launchbox is not intended to be used as a rom manager / organizer, especially for other systems such as Vita or Android. You can't in the main UI but you can in the Audit tool. Those extra sound files should not be imported, you only need to import the .cue sheet or whatever file the emulator needs to run the game.
  6. Be my guest, go ahead and make one, I won't be doing that. If someone wants to make and maintain such a list as well as test all the emulators and updates when they happen they can go right ahead and do it. I will sticky the thread.
  7. I agree with this list pretty much in every way though I would say there is no issue running the Mesen core for NES unless you have a very slow system. If you can run stuff like Cemu or Mednafen for Saturn you can run the Mesen core. There really is no reason to use stand alone Mesen over the core unless you have a strong dislike for RA for whatever reason. Sour updates the core along side the stand alone so it's always up to date.
  8. Yeah this isn't saying it's a virus, this is Windows Defender simply saying "hey, we don't recognize this software, are you sure you want to run it ?"
  9. I also would recommend Kat5200 for most users, simple to setup and yet powerful enough to have some advanced features such as limited RA shader support and custom palette support.
  10. Try PleasureDome and the internet archive. Keep in mind we only allow naming of sites here, no linking at all is allowed.
  11. The full set importer is just for that, full sets. For a small hand picked set import like any other system, drag and drop your rom set into LB and follow the import wizard. I also use a hand picked set and that is how I imported mine.
  12. I haven't run into any issues with the startup screens and RA but have you tried extending the time for them for RA in LB ? It might help.
  13. Mednafen is amazing for Saturn, PS1 and TurboGrafx 16/CD but I still wouldn't use it much for anything else. It has a place in my emulators list that is for certain.
  14. I'd ditch the stand alone FBA for the RA FBA core and I would ditch Fusion for the GenesisGX core along Pico for 32X. I like to use RA for where it makes sense, if there is a clear and obviously better option in a stand alone I will use it or when I have a preference over the RA core such as Mame. Stand alone Mednafen for NES is not something I would recommend to anyone, even they say it's not the best out there. Mesen in RA or the stand alone version the best NES emulator followed closely by puNES, everything after that pales in comparison.
  15. Suggested emulators are just that, suggestions but by no means are they necessarily the best option. Use what you feel is best for your setup.
  16. Have you tried the stand alone Mednafen at all ? It supports command line loading and their emulation tends to be of very high quality and runs a better than the RA core counterparts.
  17. I don't have any experience with the emulator you speak of. I would only suggest that you use Retroarch but since you said that you don't like it I guess that's not an option.
  18. Launchbox supports any emulator that supports launching via command line, if an emulator doesn't do this then there is nothing that LB can do to change it though maybe you can work around it using 3rd party tricks such as AutoHotKey scripts.
  19. If it's compatible with Windows it should be. Just configure it like I explain in my Mame guide using the Tab menu.
  20. You resurrected a year old thread when there are current threads and a big red notice at the top of the forums about the current DB issue.
  21. There's a big red notice at the top of the forums about this issue.
  22. lol, like I said, we all do stupid stuff with this shit. One time I spent a couple of hours trying to figure out why my TurboGrafx CD games had no music only to find out I had that set to 0 volume in the core options for some reason and I had no idea how that got changed but it did.
  23. Maybe I am misunderstanding something or you were doing something really funky but you cannot load a Genesis game with a SNES emulator like the Snes9x core.
