  1. If you do have to re-import it won't be a big deal because you won't have to re-download all the media, that stays on your drive in the appropriate locations. You can also use notepad++ to bulk edit your paths for games using the find replace all tool.
  2. Send an email to support@unbrokensoftware.com with any information you can and they will do their best to help you out.
  3. If everything is all contained in your LB folder it should translate over perfectly fine unless some emulators use hard paths for bios or something. Even if you don't have everything in a single folder transferring shouldn't be too much trouble but you may have to re-point LB to your new rom and emulators locations.
  4. For normal roms that don't require the special chips it's fine though it's been a long time since I have bothered with Higan itself.
  5. I really dislike Higans way of "cataloging" all the roms into individual "folders" for its own use. It makes it very unwieldy for use in front ends. You could try importing the Higan "rom" folder as a rom file though and see if that works. I don't know if it would or won't though since I have never tried it. Personally I would use the Higan core in RA because I love RA and think the little bit of extra effort in setting it all up is well worth it. I get a nice consistent look and feel across all the systems with lower input and audio latency than most stand alones. I can't tell you where I got my set of SNES special chips from because I don't remember, I do remember searching for "SNES special chip dumps". If you have an older No Intro set before the Nintendo wipe the SNES set has them in it.
  6. I'd like to suggest using the official BSNES emulator from Byuu which is just the SNES component of Higan broken out into its own thing, it's just as accurate as Higan but simplified in its use: https://byuu.org/emulation/bsnes/ Just dump all the special chips in the firmware folder of the BSNES install folder, it loads games straight up instead of doing the whole icarus stuff. Or you can use the Higan core in Retroarch if you like.
  7. In BigBox mode yes, if the view you are using has a vertical wheel press Left or Right on your controller, if the view has a horizontal wheel Up or Down will bring up the alphabet. In LB mode you can jump to letters by pressing that letter on your keyboard and it will take you to the first game that starts with that letter.
  8. Set up a 2nd emulator entry in LB with the option to extract rom unchecked. You don't need a 2nd install of Retroarch, just a 2nd entry in LB and point those arcade games to the 2nd emulator entry.
  9. The media search when importing games works great when your roms are named correctly. If your roms have extra info in the name not in brackets that will mess with the import and search. Anything extra such as revision, region or other info that is not the actual game name will mess with the import.
  10. Oh this is through RA, I still have never seen that message so I would suggest asking over on the RA forums or their discord. As for 16x9 aspect stretching in stand alone Mednafen I don't know since I don't stretch my video but it would be done in the config file in the Saturn settings section if it's possible and check the documentation that comes with the emulator.
  11. Very little ever gets written off completely because it is "nit picky" or "insignificant" but the fact of reality is that there is only so many hours in a day for Jason to work on things and for the most part it is a one man show. Things have to be prioritized and the polls help determine what gets high prioritization and what doesn't, at the same time items on the polls that get very few votes often get pushed to the next poll. Also often things get added in that were either very low on the votes or not even on the poll. The poll items are not the only thing that decides what gets added and what doesn't.
  12. Windows XP is not a supported OS for LB, you need Windows 7 or newer.
  13. Does the core load and play games fine when launched on its own outside of Launchbox ?
  14. I have never seen that message with Mednafen before, have you setup your controls ?
  15. Launchbox has a pre-selected default core that will work if you have the core downloaded but if you don't have that core it won't work. If you prefer to use a core other than the pre-selected one then you will have to tell LB which one you wish to use. There is no "right" core, only what core is best for you.
  16. Good to hear your slowdown and massive CPU usage issues have been solved, unfortunately I cannot help you with InputMapper and RocketLaucher because I do not use either of them at all.
  17. This is not the place to ask for RetroPie help and it certainly is not appropriate to ask for help converting a LB theme over to RetroPie without the original creators permission who as far as I am aware has left the scene entirely because of people stealing his work. Locking this thread and removing download links.
  18. Jasons betas are usually very safe to use and it's easy to roll back using a previous version installer in the Launchbox\Updates folder. I updated to the latest a no major issues other than a small fire
  19. Both Hatari and Steem work just fine though they aren't what I would call "user friendly", they do work though with the correct bios and disk images.
  20. For games that use 2 disks its quite simple, just a simple m3u playlist works and that is all you need. It's when you get into games with 3 or more disks is where it gets tricky because you need to use the swap disk function in RA and you need to swap the right disk out and the right disk in which can vary from game to game.
  21. I prefer the RA core myself, no clue if it's emulation quality is better or not but i'd imagine it's about the same since it's based off the same source code. The small handful of games I actually care to emulate run fine without any obvious issues and RA lets you deal with multi disk games through the use of .cmd and .m3u playlists.
  22. You are missing -autoload, that is what loads the game automatically and there is no -fullscreen according to the link I posted above so that is doing nothing other than possibly causing issues. As for -quickload I am not sure exactly what that actually does. I tried using an AHK script to get Alt + Enter to toggle fullscreen mode for the emulator but nothing I tried worked, maybe someone else can help you there but I know -autoload does start the game automatically.
  23. Use the command line parameter -autoload Other command line parameters are found on their website here: http://www.hoxs64.net/files/hoxs64.txt
