I normally use m64p https://m64p.github.io/ but I just setup BizHawk quickly to test and it works fine.

Do your games work in RA on its own outside of LB ?
-
My first guess is your rom set is not compatible with the core you are using, try the FBA 2012 core and see if you have better luck with that.
-
Works fine for me a 1.5.0 build.
-
Glad it worked for you, it was most likely an Associated Paltforms issue causing your issue.
-
At the top of the website here you will see a Help & Support button, click that and then Request a Feature. This will take you to the BitBucket page where you can submit requests, do a quick search for any similar requests first before making a new one.

Got them both working without issues. I imported the wad files to a new platform simply called DOOM, added a new Associated Platforms entry for DOOM and told it to use the prdoom core. Both Doom and Doom II load right up.
-
I've never messed with it before but i'll give it a go and see what I can do.

No problem, any time you run into an issue be sure to hit us up here on the forums or on Discord, usually someone has an answer to most issues unless you have an extremely oddball case

In LB go to Tools > Manage Emulators, then find the emulator you want to add that script to (Mame in this case), then in the Edit Emulator window go to the AutoHotkey Scripts paste that text into it, click OK and close it out. Try out a game and see if it works for you. And yeah like Neil said, you still have to set a controller automation key combo to close it out, LB and BB have their own controller automation so you will have to set it in both.
-
Normally Mame doesn't require any scripting to close since it uses Escape by default to close out. But you can try can try this script for it. $Esc:: { Process, Close, {{{StartupEXE}}} }
-
Which emulator is it that is doing this ? Chances are there is a script already made, the one I show in the screenshot works well for pretty much all emulators that don't use Escape to close out the emulator.
-
What Neil said. Most emulators use the Escape key to exit out but not all do so in those cases you will want to set up an Auto Hotkey Script key in Launchbox mode in the Edit Emulator > "emulator" window. You can check the Auto Hotkey Scripts thread for example scripts that you can use for specific problematic emulators.

1. I would like to see this as well. 2. If your playlist is a manual one you can simply go into the playlist, find the game and right click and remove it from the playlist. If it was an auto-generated playlist using meta data then you can't.

Moved thread to appropriate forum section since it's not Database related. Feature requests like this should be done using the BitBucket page. Click Help & Support > Request a Feature at the top of the website.

To be bluntly honest with you man you ask a lot of questions where the answer is "it just depends". Different emulators, different games and different systems all have an effect on the answer and you just have to find what works and doesn't work for you and adjust to your liking. This is just how emulation is. I have no way of testing all sorts of hardware to find the exact tipping point of where one CPU isn't powerful enough and another one is.

Software mode requires a very beefy CPU to drive it.

You can select whatever games you want to change and do a bulk edit to change the field for those selected games.

Yes, start out with No-Intro sets for cart based consoles. These sets will give you 99% of everything you could ever need in your collection, they basically contain 1 good proper dump of each game from the US and Japan region and if there are any European PAL exclusives that will be included as well. If you want to patch a game with a rom hack or translation patch the chances are extremely high that you will need a rom from the No-Intro set to patch. GoodSets contain a whole lot more stuff, their goal is to collect every dump in existence, this includes bad dumps and overdumps. These can have certain benefits in very edge case scenarios. As for CD based systems such as Sega CD, Playstation, Saturn or PC Engine CD you will ideally want to look for Redump sets or games, Dark Water is another good alternative.

Well now that the thread is truly off the rails let's just end this discussion here and if you don't like how the PCSX2 devs do their thing you should go and do it better yourself instead of shit talking them. It's an open source project so you can go and fix all the issues you have with it yourself. If you got issues with the devs go post on their forums and tell them how you feel instead being a jerk here and calling them "lazy", "pathetic" and "dumb". They do what they do in their free time, they don't get paid for it so you can either accept it and use it with its limitations or don't use it and wait for something better to come along if you can't make it yourself.

Question about running GB games with retroarch core.
Lordmonkus replied to ModerateNOOB's topic in Troubleshooting
Gambatte and Sameboy will both do Gameboy Color if the game is a GBC compatible game. -
