  1. Skip Hacked = rom hacks Skip Prototype = Prototype versions of games Skip Bootleg = Bootleg versions of games Skip Table Top = I believe 70s and 80s handheld electronic games Skip Non-Arcade = These are games that weren't in the arcade or were console games. Bios are required for games to play if using a Split or Merged rom set. If you are using Non Merged roms the bios are included in the game rom.
  2. The correct command line parameter you need is neocdz -cdrm
  3. I don't know about automating updating the set to your seedbox but I would be surprised if you couldn't automate the downloading of the specific roms from the seedbox using a batch file and a command line FTP connection.
  4. Updating from PD isn't hard at all. Just remove the torrent file from your seedbox torrent UI but leave the content on the server. Download the new torrent from PD and rename the folder on your seedbox to match what the new set will be and pull the torrent into your seedbox torrent. It will do a check and only download what is new and updated, which won't take long at all. Then you can use the text list to grab what you want from your seedbox how I described above.
  5. Yeah it's big download. What I do is this, I have a seedbox which I update every month with the newest rom set and then I use the text list of rom files to copy / paste into the filters of WinSCP which I use to FTP into my seedbox and that filters out everything but the rom files I want. I then select all and download telling it to only download new & updated files. Takes only a few minutes to update the No Filler set on my hard drive.
  6. It should grab all the roms, nothing changed in that regard. It should pull out 439 roms files if you use the 201 batch file uploaded to the Third Party Apps downloads page. Though if you are using Mame 201 the Capcom stuff that uses Qsound may or may not work because there was some changes made to it. I have no idea though since I have not tried the 201 roms on Mame 200.
  7. Just keep in mind it relies on having the Non Merged set, this allows for much easier management to add and remove games without worrying about required parent or bios files.
  8. Oh you must have been talking about the first No Filler batch file which wasn't mine exactly, I stole it from a forum thread on arcadecontrols.com site. I did a version 2 of the No Filler project where I took feedback from people here on the forums and on Discord and built a set / batch file which uses the Non Merged Mame rom set.
  9. It's not even 25%, it's far less than that. A full rom set imported into Launchbox using all the filters to remove the junk is approximately 2700 games and my No Filler Mame set is 429 roms with a few duplicates for choice between 2 player and 4 player games like Gauntlet and TMNT.
  10. Ok, i'll try and explain it in super simple terms. Split: Every game is "split" up, there is one "parent" rom of a game which is the game but for 1 region and all the other regional roms are in their own "clone" which is much smaller. The "clone" rom requires the "parent" rom to run. Merged: Every game has its "parent" and regional "clones" in a single zip file. You still require bios files though for games that require them. EG: NeoGeo and Capcom CPS2 Non Merged: Every game is in its own self contained zip file, it contains everything required for the game to work. The regional "clone" roms have the "parent" rom included as well as the bios files required.
  11. Check the bottom first post in this thread, it has an image to go along with the text description to help explain it.
  12. If you had to do another import you would be able to save a lot of time but deselecting all the media since that doesn't get removed from you setup if you remove your games.
  13. That I am not sure of, I don't use backgrounds in BigBox at all myself. But I had to guess it would be in Options > Images in BigBox.
  14. Yeah make a video called Startup in your videos folder.
  15. Not sure since I don't use startup videos myself. You do have the video in Launchbox\Videos\Startup right ?
  16. The delay option is no longer there, it was removed and is no longer needed. The video you have set to be your intro video will play until it ends or you press the button on your controller to end it.
  17. Yes, you can fix this in 2 different ways. Way #1: Go through your platforms list and right click and edit each playlist and change the category to what you want it in. Way #2: Close Launchbox, go to your Launchbox\Data\Playlists folder and delete the playlists. Update Launchbox to the latest beta just uploaded today and then under Tools, Create Missing Arcade/MAME Playlists. This should generate them all in the Playlists category.
  18. Triple buffering can improve performance but at the expense of additional input lag. With your system you should be encountering any performance issues at all.
  19. Did you simply check the "default" box in the edit emulator window or did you select all your games in the platform and use the bulk edit tool to change the emulator for those games ? You need to do the 2nd.
  20. @Dan this is not the place to make feature requests
  21. Auto Generated playlists use metadata to generate the lists, of course you can't remove the games from them.
  22. You could use an Auto Generated playlist, pick title and enter the name of the game you want it to look for like "King of the Fighters". Both methods will work fine.
  23. Where are your Mame roms on your computer ? Are they in your Mame\roms folder or in another location ? If they are in another location did you add that location to the the mame.ini folder ? Also where is your mame.ini file located ? Is it in your Mame\ini folder or in the main Mame folder where your Mame executable is located ? It needs to be in the main folder, if it is in the \ini folder move it out to the main folder.
