  1. Unfortunately I cannot give you links but they are a part of the Mame Software List ROMS (machines-bios-devices) pack.
  2. Do you have an emulator capable of playing the games ?
  3. The 2 most likely causes are bad disk images and bad bios, bad bios usually results it RA not loading at all and there are a lot of bad disk images floating around out there.
  4. Do other games and platforms work for you ? Judging by what you are saying my guess is that you are trying to run the 64 bit version of Retroarch and you have a 32 bit version of Windows.
  5. I use Controller Companion, get it on Steam for a couple of bucks.
  6. Y's V in the works. https://www.zeldix.net/t1708-ys-v-msu
  7. It is weird though that your FBA set won't work with the FBA core, try the FBA2012 core and see if that works for you. I know there was a recent new FBA rom set so I don't know if that is causing problems with the FBA core or not. Honestly my suggestion would be to use the Mame set and Mame unless for some reason you need to use FBA Launchbox can break out the Capcom CPS playlists for you or you can create your own.
  8. Well if you can't load them in RA on its own then you have a compatibility issue with the roms and the core.
  9. Are your roms from the FBA set or Mame set ? Do they load or not load in Retroarch on its own outside of Launchbox ?
  10. My advice to not use Mame for NES and SNES or any other console unless it does not have a better emulator option available. NES and SNES has several other options which are much better. NES has the stand alone versions of FCEUX, Nestopia, puNES and Mesen plus the Retroarch cores FCEUM, Nestopia and Mesen. Mesen is extremely good, near 100% cycle accurate now. For the SNES you have stand alone versions of Snes9x, BSnes and Higan along with Retroarch cores for each. All of them are superior emulators compared to Mames emulation of those systems. It certainly is strange though that some games work and others don't when launching through Launchbox but work fine when going through Mame on it's own. I do have some consoles running through Mame and they work fine but I only use it for Colecovision, Intellivision and occasionally Atari 5200 and FM Towns Marty. Edit: Bizhawk is another great option for NES and SNES emulation.
  11. I have a few, some are non Mame but are still Arcade games.
  12. How to split it up is a tough one. You could split it up into board and that would work for some stuff there is still a lot of stuff that are 1 offs or only have a couple of games. You could split it by company which would cover a lot more stuff than boards but you would still have some "platforms" that only have 1 or a small selection of games. It really is a tough one depending on how far you want to take it. My preferred method is to just have them all in the main "Arcade" platform and then tag favourites so they are all at the top of the list. Though I do have the Capcom CPS and NeoGeo games separated out.
  13. Did you double check your emulators in Launchbox to make sure their paths are correct ? What about your roms and their paths ? Also do your games work in Mame on its own outside of Launchbox ? Like I said, none of the updates to Launchbox should have messed up any paths at all. I have been updating with every release now for over 2 years and not a single time has any paths been messed up by Launchbox with an update.
  14. Add the new emulator under a different name (eg: Mame 197), set up the associated platforms like any other emulator and then change the emulator for the game you wish to use that emulator with.
  15. Probably a security feature so people cannot just connect without login credentials and make system changes remotely.
  16. But we're not normal people.
  17. I'm sure he could but I don't think it's a big deal to be honest, most people won't have other oddball files in their /cores folder and they are easy enough to ignore and not select them.
  18. So maybe just the username of the account for that computer. My HTPC asks me for my login info when I want to connect up to my main PC to transfer files or whatever and I just put in my login name and password I use for the main computer and it works.
  19. Enter the login name and password you use for the computer you are connecting to.
  20. Ahh, sorry I don't use RocketLauncher so I don't know what's happening there and like I said I use WHDLoad (hard drive images) and a couple of .adf (floppy disk) images and I have never seen that plugin error.
  21. No problem, when I just checked my dropdown menu it's showing files that I have in the /cores folder that aren't actually cores, such as a zip file backup of an older Mame 185 core and an exe file that generates extra Genesis GX cores for the other systems it emulates like the Game Gear and Master System.
  22. I just had a look at mine and it appears that it is scanning the /cores folder and populating the list with anything in that folder.
