  1. Take a look at this thread and see if it is any help to you. http://steamcommunity.com/app/226980/discussions/0/618463738383463019/?ctp=2 I don't have this to test it out.
  2. In the edit emulator > associated platforms window. Does your SNES and NES platform names match the platform names in your Launchbox platforms list ?
  3. Because Cortana is a corporate whore and she has a big box
  4. Hmm Well I would never see it anyways because I run it through LB because in the settings I turned off "Use ROM browser" in the ROM selection section and the Options section turn on "Enter full-screen mode when loading a ROM"
  5. Good luck with getting systems outside of arcade games working with the Mame core in Retroarch. I don't mean that as being impossible, I simply mean it is not easy and even people over on the Retroarch boards have a really difficult time with it. The folder structure for the files long with the exact files needed to run are a mega pain in the ass. You would have much better luck going through a stand alone version of Mess. And in my experience / opinion it would be a better emulation experience.
  6. I don't think there is a way to turn on partial emulated keyboard through the ini or command line which kinda sucks cause I would prefer it to be on by default as well. HLSL settings should transfer over just copy and paste the appropriate sections of the ini files into the mess.ini and the \ini\presets\raster.ini files.
  7. Cool, im working on finding a solution to the scroll lock but no luck yet.
  8. Ahh, not sure about MessUI since I just use the command line version.
  9. The menu bar ? Are you talking about the drive icons on the left in Mess ? I think there is a way to enable scroll lock on with a command line parameter but I couldn't get it working, I also didn't spend a lot of time working on it however.
  10. Sorry but that is beyond my level of expertise, there are others around here that are into the AHK stuff.
  11. If you have v-sync enabled you shouldn't be having screen tearing issues, v-sync off will give you screen tearing issues if you don't have g-sync / freesync setup. For audio issues try enabling Audio Sync in the audio settings. Make sure your Audio Latency is not set too low. Your audio driver should be set to xaudio but try others to see if you have better luck with other drivers. Also are you running any shaders or none ? Certain shaders can put a lot of stress on the system and cause just enough slow down to cause audio problems but it sounds like your system shouldn't have that problem. Are you running the 1.3.6 stable build or nightly ? Nightly builds can bring in problems. Since you are on a laptop check your performance settings in the control panel, check that you are running in performance mode and not one of the power saving modes.
  12. Yeah it had some "definitive" editions of a small handful of games like say Splatterhouse since it was the only home port that was near arcade perfect and the only home port of Truxton / Tatsujin 2 and for it's time that was a big deal. But other than that for the most part the system didn't have anything that you couldn't get elsewhere. I also said that "for me" it wasn't worth bothering with, everyone else is more than free to do as they please. I cannot comment on which is the better emulator for this system, UNZ or Mess since I have not tried UNZ. But I did get a couple of games up and running with Mess and they seemed to play well enough. Mess is probably the easier of the 2 emulators to get setup since smallsbig mentioned using daemon tools to mount cd images for UNZ.
  13. I cannot comment on AMIuOS at all since I have zero experience with it. But if all you want is just link files to launch you have 2 options. Option A: Just import the .lnk files to the platform of choice. When it asks for an emulator just assign any random emulator you like, it doesn't matter which one. Then after all the .lnk files are imported go to the platform you just imported for, select all your games (Control + A), right click and edit. This will bring up the bulk edit window, select emulator from the field drop down menu and in the 2nd drop down menu just leave it blank. Finish out the bulk edit process and you are done. Your links will now have no emulator associated with them and they will just load. Option B: Create a shortcut link to cmd.exe somewhere you like for your own personal preference. You are going to use this link file as an emulator in Launchbox. Right click the shortcut and go to properties, go to the shortcut tab and near the bottom you will see Run: and a dropdown menu to the right, from the dropdown menu select Minimized. Add a new emulator to Launchbox, call it whatever you like and point it to this shortcut file to cmd.exe that you just created. Now when you import your games and it asks for an emulator tell it to use this emulator. Either way will work just fine with launching .lnk shortcuts.

    Question

Like I said, my collection of 3DS games is very small. It isn't easy finding decrypted roms and you need these for emulation. Maybe some other games out there load and play better and I am quite sure that this emulator will become very good relatively quickly (within a year). Progress is seemingly moving along extremely well which is always a good thing. Maybe there is some magic nightly build that works but the latest official build and the latest EmuCR builds are still way too slow on the games I have. They do all boot though. Correction: with the latest nightly build only Mario and Link Between Worlds boot, other 3 are just black screens and errors. The games I have to try out is: Kid Icarus Zelda, A Link Between Worlds Zelda, Majoras Mask StarFox Mario 3D Land
  15. In your config change the line system_directory = ":\retroarch\system" to system_directory = ":\system" Try that and see what happens.
  16. If neither Sega CD or Playstation is working then my next guess if your /system folder location isn't set right in Retroarch. Go to the "settings" menu (the cogwheel) and scroll all the way down to "Directory", go in there and the very first setting "System/BIOS" check that and make it is pointing to the /system folder in your Retroarch install folder.

    Question

I did see it and I tried it out with the small collection of games I have and while they load they are still unplayable and no controller support.

    Question

It's definitely an emulator to keep an eye on and hopefully in the semi near future it will be in what I would call a usable state but for right now it isn't. Even on my 4 GHz system games like Mario, Zelda and StarFox are unplayably slow. Some games will be playable at full or near full speeds but that will be on a game by game basis for now. Check back in on it in a few months to a year. Best bet if you really want to play 3DS right now is to get a used 3DS and buy used games since they are actually affordable or buy a Gateway backup card to "try" games out The DS and 3DS with their stylus touch controls really don't translate well to a normal controller. Obviously some games don't make extensive use of the touch screen and those would be extremely playable.

    Question

There's nothing to get into at the moment. Yeah the Citra emulator can run some games but it doesn't have working joypad controls yet and its extremely buggy. It needs more time to mature before the 3DS is worth worrying about.
