  1. Yeah if you look past the glut of fighting games on the system there are a few really good hidden gems in there. Ganryu is one of my favourites, kind of a Shinobi style ninja game but more platforming. Last Resort gets a lot of flak for being an R-Type ripoff but I personally like it better.
  2. Not the CD Version. I do have the arcade rom but it's not a game I care enough about. There are very few fighting games I like outside the Street Fighter series and Samurai Shodown.
  3. Honestly I couldn't tell you. I only tried a very small selection of games and Double Dragon was not one of them so the emulation of that game could be buggy. Did you try fast forwarding to load it faster ? I believe the Insert key is the default fast forward for Mess.
  4. I have it from a reliable 3rd party source that setting up an emulator pointing to the Pinball FX2.exe and then importing the .pxp table files it will work within Launchbox.
  5. If everything is organized within a single folder like \Launchbox then it should work. As far as performance goes it shouldn't be too bad as long as you plugging it into a USB 3.0 port. Might not be quite as good as having it on a hard drive but if you keep the pictures to just the boxart and maybe a screenshot it should be alright.
  6. Well it was the only thing left to check If it was working before and with everything you said in your previous post the platform names was really all that was left. Glad it fixed it for you.
  7. Yeah if it's up to me I would say leaving it up isn't a problem. I just know Jason has been pretty iffy on uploads not created by the uploader or at least having the permission first. Leave it for now and see what Jason has to say about it.
  8. Useful tool and does work sometimes but not always. Not so sure if Jason wants programs not created by the person uploading them though. Are you the creator of this tool or do you have permission from the original creator ?
  9. Take a look at this thread and see if it is any help to you. http://steamcommunity.com/app/226980/discussions/0/618463738383463019/?ctp=2 I don't have this to test it out.
  10. In the edit emulator > associated platforms window. Does your SNES and NES platform names match the platform names in your Launchbox platforms list ?
  11. Because Cortana is a corporate whore and she has a big box
  12. Hmm Well I would never see it anyways because I run it through LB because in the settings I turned off "Use ROM browser" in the ROM selection section and the Options section turn on "Enter full-screen mode when loading a ROM"
  13. I don't think there is a way to turn on partial emulated keyboard through the ini or command line which kinda sucks cause I would prefer it to be on by default as well. HLSL settings should transfer over just copy and paste the appropriate sections of the ini files into the mess.ini and the \ini\presets\raster.ini files.
  14. Cool, im working on finding a solution to the scroll lock but no luck yet.
  15. Ahh, not sure about MessUI since I just use the command line version.
  16. The menu bar ? Are you talking about the drive icons on the left in Mess ? I think there is a way to enable scroll lock on with a command line parameter but I couldn't get it working, I also didn't spend a lot of time working on it however.
  17. Sorry but that is beyond my level of expertise, there are others around here that are into the AHK stuff.
  18. If you have v-sync enabled you shouldn't be having screen tearing issues, v-sync off will give you screen tearing issues if you don't have g-sync / freesync setup. For audio issues try enabling Audio Sync in the audio settings. Make sure your Audio Latency is not set too low. Your audio driver should be set to xaudio but try others to see if you have better luck with other drivers. Also are you running any shaders or none ? Certain shaders can put a lot of stress on the system and cause just enough slow down to cause audio problems but it sounds like your system shouldn't have that problem. Are you running the 1.3.6 stable build or nightly ? Nightly builds can bring in problems. Since you are on a laptop check your performance settings in the control panel, check that you are running in performance mode and not one of the power saving modes.
  19. Yeah it had some "definitive" editions of a small handful of games like say Splatterhouse since it was the only home port that was near arcade perfect and the only home port of Truxton / Tatsujin 2 and for it's time that was a big deal. But other than that for the most part the system didn't have anything that you couldn't get elsewhere. I also said that "for me" it wasn't worth bothering with, everyone else is more than free to do as they please. I cannot comment on which is the better emulator for this system, UNZ or Mess since I have not tried UNZ. But I did get a couple of games up and running with Mess and they seemed to play well enough. Mess is probably the easier of the 2 emulators to get setup since smallsbig mentioned using daemon tools to mount cd images for UNZ.
