  1. If you are running it through Mame and they are just buttons simply press Tab on the keyboard and go to Input (This Machine) and configure your controls in there.
  2. Yeah this is the stand alone Mess using a build off of EmuCR. I didn't have any luck getting non arcade stuff working through the newer versions of Mame since the re-merging of the 2 emulators. Plus I like to keep my Mess emulation separated from my Mame stuff just for organizational purposes. I have no idea if Mess or any of the stand alone X68000 emus support something like MUNT. The stand alones may have something like that built into it. The stand alone X68000 emulators are probably the better emulators over Mess but controller config and getting them to work through Launchbox was a no go for me.
  3. Yeah that's more like a retro gaming store and we have those up here in Canada as well but that place Hard Off is like an army surplus store but for video game stuff.
  4. I can almost guarantee something isn't setup right or your disk images are bad because Retroarch and the Genesis GX core works perfectly. Have you tried getting some new images already in cue + bin format ? Have you tried other CD based systems like PSX or TurboGrafx CD ? If those work then your bios location is correct but if they don't then I will still think it's a bios issue.
  5. Oh I get that and I never said no one else should emulate it, just for me I am reaching the point where certain systems just aren't worth the extra effort for me. Now if it had some actual exclusives that were respectable I probably think differently.
  6. Ahh cool. I did some digging on the FM-Towns Marty last night and did get it working through Mess. In the end though it's a system not really worth the effort to emulate since it has no worth while exclusives and anything really good on it is available elsewhere like the PSX, Saturn and Mame.
  7. Not my style but damn that's a lot of work you have put into that setup. I noticed you have a section for the FM-Towns Marty, what emulator are you using for that and do the games actually play good ?
  8. Alright man. It's weird that they aren't working for you through the stand alone if it's working through RA. Only thing I can think of is the bios and they have to be in root folder with the mednafen.exe, the same bios as the RA core.
  9. Try Simply Austins video on setting it up, maybe he explained something better than I.
  10. So the games do load through Launchbox using the stand alone ?
  11. That should work but just for shits and giggles try through Launchbox and if that doesn't work just run the mednafen.exe and see if that generates some extra files and folders and re try the game again. If that doesn't work I am at a loss because if you have the bios in the folder with the mednafen.exe and your image works through Mednafen_Saturn RA it should definitely work with the stand alone.
  12. Hmm, if they load in RA they should load in the stand alone. Are you trying to load through Launchbox or just by dragging on to the exe ?
  13. It could be your disk image. Is it a cue + bin or does it have extra wav or mp3 files ?
  14. Weird, Crazy Taxi runs fine for the most part for me in Demul, some stutter here and there but nothing too major. Might be your disk image.
  15. If you can run Demul at a playable speed use that mainly and use NullDC for any games that Demul can't run for you. You can have individual emulators for different games.
  16. Overall Demul is the better emulator. It runs more games and runs more games accurately but NullDC can run some games Demul doesn't and it's easier on the system requirements. Demul also runs other Sega arcade board stuff like the Atomiswave and Naomi games.
  17. Cool. NullDC is the fastest DC emulator but Demul is more accurate and compatible but higher system requirements. The Retroarch Reicast core is too early in development to judge but but for now it is slower and less accurate.
  18. That's good you get Gamecube atleast. My 1.5 GHz system just wasn't quite fast enough for it, even the Ishiiruka build wasn't doable.
  19. Yeah PS2 emulation is very CPU intensive. I got it running somewhat decent depending on the game on a 3.2 GHz AMD CPU but when I upgraded to a 4 GHz AMD it ran much better for me. NullDC is going to be hit and miss on a game to game basis. Yeah, Dolphin will be a no go but give PPSSPP a try. I was able to get some playable stuff going on my 1.5 GHz laptop, but it too was a game to game basis deal. I just inherited an older 2 GHz AMD system from my parents I need to get that thing setup and do some testing on it.
  20. PS2 definitely not. Dreamcast and Saturn through Retroarch, no. You can try NullDC for Dreamcast, I had it playing decently on a 1.5 GHz laptop but what games work and don't work will vary. Try the stand alone Mednafen Saturn and see how that works out. I haven't been able to try it out on a lower end system.
  21. On a side not all my CD based games are in their own folders which contain the cue + bin file rather than putting a whole pile of cue + bins in one folder. Individual cartridge roms are just all thrown together in their respective system rom folder.
  22. I'm not sure how well it handles iso + wavs. None of my Sega CD games use that format at all, they are all cue + bin.
