  1. Perhaps you imported them to use a different emulator ? Can you get some screenshots for us to see ? One of the edit screen of a game and the others of the edit emulator window for Dolphin.
  2. It was just a controller bug in the new theme manager but since it was a big feature Jason wanted to make sure to get it out to everyone instead of just a beta release because some people don't do beta updates, only official updates.
  3. I would guess that for whatever reason your 9.6 download failed to complete, it happens with the internet sometimes.
  4. You could try restoring from the backups folder.
  5. I believe the Retroarch\system\mame\ini folder. It's been a while and I no longer have this set up so could be remembering wrong.
  6. The graphics card is simply not up to the task.
  7. They may or may not work, without any details from the uploader to say which rom set version these are from it's impossible to tell without testing them.
  8. I just did a quick search for "internet archive NeoGeo" and there is a full set uploaded by GhostWare in the first couple of results, I have no idea what rom set version these are from but it might be worth a look if you don't want to get a complete Mame or FBA set.
  9. From what I remember I don't believe the NeoRageX roms are compatible with FBA or Mame, it is very old. You would be better off trying and source a better set of NeoGeo roms somewhere which I don't know if anyone has done or get a complete FBA or Mame rom set and pull out your own NeoGeo set. My personal recommendation though maybe not exactly what you want to do is to get a current complete Mame rom set and import that into LB using the Mame Full Set Import tool and have LB generate the NeoGeo playlist for you.
  10. Yeah, all "official" complete sets come with everything required in the set.
  11. You can remap your keys in Mame easily, it's extremely powerful and actually better than Retroarch for it. Yeah the idea of sets is the big hurdle to wrap your head around because better dumps and more accurate emulation can require updates. I perfect example of this was when the Capcom CPS2 encryption got cracked and implemented, this required new roms of those specific games. Having full sets to match your version of Mame makes things more guaranteed to work, the further apart you get in your version of Mame and the rom set the more likely you are to encounter broken games.
  12. Mame is actually surprisingly simple even though it seems confusing at first. The real secret is knowing what version your rom set is from and getting individual roms for each game is a total crapshoot so you should try your best to get a full set even if it is slightly older. You can easily get an older build of Mame from their website to match your rom set and I always recommend the stand alone Mame to new people over the Retroarch core.
  13. If your rom set is from the most recent set or at the very least a relatively recent set you should be using the Mame core that has no year in its name, that core is kept up to date with the latest releases every month. All the cores with a year in its name is snaphotted from a build in that year, the specific versions I forget off the top of my head though the info for it might be on the Libretro docs website. If you don't know what version romset your games are from it makes it very difficult to know.
  14. This is such an open and subjective thing but I believe my No-Filler set is a great base to start off with. You can easily add or remove anything you want.
  15. Do not use RA Mame for non arcade games, it is a major royal pain in the ass. Stick with the stand alone, it's much easier to deal with.
  16. In hindsight now I probably should have just left everything from the poll in the first post and marked off each one as they were implemented. I will probably do that for the next poll which shouldn't be too far away now that this current list is getting narrowed down pretty good.
  17. Yeah the RA version of PPSSPP isn't bad at all and is kept up to date fairly well, I just prefer and recommend the stand alone version because it is just such a high quality emulator on its own already and doesn't need any of the RA stuff unless you really want a shader or bezel for it.
  18. Retroarch is great and I use it probably more than anyone but in some cases it doesn't make sense to use even though it does emulate certain systems. For example I would never recommend anyone use it for Gamecube / Wii games with the Dolphin core, the stand alone is better. Same for the PSP, the stand alone is the better choice over the PPSSPP core even though the core is not terrible. Now having said that, I actually use the Reicast core in RA in my current setup but my Dreamcast setup only has a small selection of games and they all work fine with the core. On my HTPC setup I have many more games and I do use Demul with it. Once Redream gets the WinCE games supported I plan on purchasing the 5$ license and making the move to that.
  19. "Better" is sort of subjective sometimes because it's often a question of what is better for you and your setup. Demul is a more demanding emulator and can be tricky to setup but it does emulate more games and does it with more accuracy currently.
  20. I edited my previous post, my brain was confusing 2 different things, still waking up here.
  21. Are you saying it shouldn't have a trike through it ? If so why not ? It's implemented and in the current release of LB just meaning it's there, nothing more, nothing less. Startup and shutdown screens were on the list but removed because they are done. I have been removing things from the list as they have been completed for some time and other things are completed. Theme downloaded will get removed when the next stuff from the list gets added in.
  22. Reicast is the best core in Retroarch, Demul is the best overall way to emulate Dreamcast but it can be a bit awkward to setup and the stand alone Redream is very nice and easy to setup but still doesn't support the WinCE games.
  23. I believe there is a discount on an EmuMovie account if you buy a Launchbox license, I can't for certain though because it's been a few years now since I bought my license and I don't care about EmuMovies.
  24. You will have to go into the mame.ini and disable them. Look for either hlsl_enable 1 and change to 0 or look for video bgfx and set it to video auto If neither of that works then I don't know what to tell you, it sounds like you downloaded someone elses build of Mame with the scanline stuff enabled.
  25. It's not the size of the system but what is in it. More ram which has been stated already helps, a GPU also helps and a big hit to performance when people complain about it is running a media intensive theme which puts a big load on the system. Use a lightweight theme and reducing image quality to medium will help it out a lot.
