  1. Enabling HLSL is just a simple matter of setting hlsl_enable to 1 in the mame.ini file. I would suggest trying out an official Mame build rather than your own compiled one just to atleast see if that works.
  2. https://bitbucket.org/jasondavidcarr/launchbox/issues/new
  3. Please do not post links to copyrighted software, yes some or most of the stuff on those sites are "abandonware" but not all of it is and we are not going to check each every game on them to see which ones are and are not. Also we deleted this the first time you posted it so there is no need to re-post it, it was deleted for a reason.
  4. Damn dude, while I don't have particular use for any of these myself they all look like very handy additions to LB for people.
  5. Yeah, that's what "change" means. Plus you can select multiple tags in the case of the Genre tag.
  6. I haven't used Spectabis in quite a while now, instead I use the PCSX2 Configurator plugin for Launchbox, all the information you need can be found in these 2 links.
  7. This looks like you have the "GoodSet" of roms, this name is a massive misnomer, these sets contain every single dump of a rom that can be found. This often includes bad dumps and many different variations of roms and are a giant pain in the ass to deal with. You should seek out the "No-Intro" sets of roms, these are much easier for the end user to deal with. What are No-Intro sets? No-Intro is a group dedicated to collecting ROMs of older video game systems for the sake of preservation. Their main goal is to collect complete and accurate collections of old video games. This means no hacks, bad dumps, etc, only clean ROM files accurate to what was commercially released. The name "No-Intro" came from the early days when they used to rip out annoying "scene" intros that were sometimes injected into dumped games. If you want more information you can visit the No-Intro website. Difference between No-Intro and Goodsets The most common complete ROM sets you will encounter on the internet are known as "GoodSets". While these aren't bad, they have a slightly different goal and are usually several years outdated. Goodsets basically collect together as many known dumps as possible into one set. The good, the bad, hacks, multiple dumps, all there. No-Intro sets only include one good ROM for each region or revision of a game (usually one US, one Europe, and one Japan). In addition, No-Intro sets are updated frequently as new or more accurate ROMs are found. Basically what you get in a No-Intro set is equivalent to what was on the original cartridges.
  8. Here is what is left to do from the last poll, some time after this is done there will be another poll. I'm glad @Retro808 was able to confirm it was in already, I rarely actually use BigBox myself so I often either forget or am totally unaware of all of the features it has.
  9. If you generate the playlists you can right click the NeoGeo one and edit it, then you can change it so it's shown in with the platforms and then set its parent to root.
  10. None beyond FBA can be run on lower end hardware compared to Mame. You can just use the playlists that you can generate when you import your Mame set.
  11. Controllers in an emulator and controller settings in Launchbox are 2 different things, one doesn't have anything to do with the other.
  12. Yeah I think it would be a worthwhile feature to add, maybe it will be on the next poll. Personally though I don't care one way or the other since I don't import my games that way, I put shortcuts for all my games in a folder and just bulk import them like any other platform. Yeah it takes a few minutes to manage it at first and put the shortcuts into a folder but it really isn't a big deal to me.
  13. As far as I am aware it's not on the to do list but it could probably make its way in at some point.
  14. I'm sure it could be added in the future if it gets requested enough. I edited your post because it was your first post and linking to another frontend, it comes off as a veiled promotion / spam.
  15. False positive if you downloaded it from here.
  16. Have you setup the Dolphin core on its own to work though ? There is a bit more to it than a simple download and run, you need to do a couple of extra steps. https://www.libretro.com/index.php/new-core-dolphin-windowslinux-alpha-release/
  17. Yes, you can set up new "wheels" easily, we call them Platforms and Playlists. The difference is Platforms are where you actually import your games to and Playlists are sort of a "virtual platform" where you can have all sorts of different games from different platforms, you can check the YouTube channel for videos on that for further explanation.
  18. The Retroarch core will work in LB if you have it setup in Retroarch and working first, the GCE core is a Vectrex emulator, not Gamecube / Wii. I would still recommend using the stand alone version of Dolphin over the RA core.
  19. I'm not gonna try and sell it to you, that's not what I do. Download the free version and try it out for yourself, see how easy it is to set it up. That was what sold me on it instantly after messing with the other frontends out there. As for your LEDBlinky question, I believe it is compatible, I have seen threads about it but I haven't used it myself so I don't know.
  20. More ram would go a long way in improving performance, 4 gigs on Windows 10 is definitely on the low side, you should have at least 8 gigs.
  21. Sorry I don't, I don't use bezels myself so I have no clues on setting them up.
  22. Yeah that first one is usually the big trip up.
