http://wiki.redump.org/index.php?title=Redump.org Basically if you see a Redump set you know it's a good dump of the disks. Oh yeah, make sure you keep a good share time and ratio after you download from PleasureDome, they will ban you if you don't. We can name sites without linking to them, the Internet Archive is another good source for games nowadays.

This is a 2 year old ePSXe thread and Mednafen exits cleanly using the `Escape` key.

Looks like one of the gameboy shaders found in the handheld folder, either gameboy or gameboy-light would be my guess.

Only 2 reasons for me, enjoyment of playing and convenience. I get to go back and play games that I missed out on back in the day or games that were never released here that can now be played with translation patches. Also trying to go out and buy all these old systems in good working condition and the good games is just absurdly expensive.

Check the refresh rate of your display, especially if it is a 4K one, often those are set to run at 30hz instead of 60.

This is a very specialized question, I would suggest asking the dev on the Redream site or elsewhere, he is generally very approachable and willing to answer questions in my experience with him.

There is a lot of Cave games in there but the honourable mentions list has other stuff plus some more Cave stuff, lol.

This thread over on the shmups forums should be of interest to this discussion. https://shmups.system11.org/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=64197

That's an unfortunate issue with RA and Mednafen for your setup, wish I could help you with it, try asking over on the RA or Mednafen forums. As for the 7800 bios they can go wherever you want as long as you point your mame.ini rompath to it. I have a specially setup version of Mame just for consoles and computers and I just put all my bios in the roms folder inside of my Mame install, that way I don't have to change anything with the rompath in the mame.ini file.

Version 9.6 - Released March 26, 2019 - New Premium Feature: A new themes manager is now built-in to Big Box that will let you manage, download, and uninstall both Big Box and Startup themes - New Premium Feature: Easy screenshot capturing has been added to Big Box for theme developers. Simply pressing the Print Screen key while Big Box is running will capture the screen and save it in the new LaunchBox\Screenshots folder with the current theme and view in the file name. - Improvement: New Russian translation has been added thanks to @alexposad on the LaunchBox forums - Improvement: Added three new properties to the Game object in order to better support theme developers: BindableVideoPath, BindableThemeVideoPath, and BindableThemeVideoOrVideoPath. These new properties can be used as a binding in the VideoControl for custom themes. - Improvement: Integrated the PrioritizedPathSelector control that was previously available as a custom plugin into Big Box, specifically for startup themes. A tutorial is available on the forums here: https://forums.launchbox-app.com/topic/49405-creating-a-startup-theme-with-video-support - Improvement: Fonts can now be integrated much more easily into custom LaunchBox, Big Box, and Startup themes without making users have to install them. A tutorial is available on the forums here: https://forums.launchbox-app.com/topic/49411-including-custom-fonts-without-custom-dlls/ - Improvement: Game controller performance in Big Box has been improved - Fixed: In some situations, the new game startup screens were causing game music to play in the background while a game is running - Fixed: VideoControl videos were not always working properly in game startup custom themes

Mednafen, either the stand alone or the Retroarch core is currently the best way to emulate the TG16 / PC Engine and CD games. I use the Beetle SGX core in RA which is a port of Mednafen because it handles all of the games including SuperGrafx. Atari 7800 is launched using the command line parameter. a7800 -cart1 You will also need the appropriate bios for it to work.

Amiga emulator: which is the best fo Launchbox?
Lordmonkus replied to legolas119's topic in Emulation
-
Just make a fake emulator like @DOS76 suggested with a simple text file as the emulator.
-
Or when you import choose the "none of the above" option instead of a rom file.

Retroarch Intellivision FreeIntv not in Associated Platforms
Lordmonkus replied to Johnseye's topic in Noobs
You need to add the platform, Mattel Intellivision is not there by default. Just go to the bottom and add it by clicking twice in an empty box and typing in the name. -

PCSSX2 and Spectabis on Launchbox:is it possible?
Lordmonkus replied to legolas119's topic in Emulation
You can launch your games through LB using Spectabis as the emulator and it will use your configs. I'm guess this is still functional but I don't know because I no longer use Spectabis, I use the PCSX2 Configurator plugin now. -
Well the Non Merged set contains the bios in each games rom file, Split and Merged do not do this.
-
I haven't looked at the bat files but if you used it on a split or merged set it would not copy the necessary bios files that certain games require (eg: qsound.zip and neogeo.zip). Unless of course those files are included in the bat files.
-
What rom set should these be used with ? Merged, Non Merged or Split ?
-
Can deleting one rom in LB also delete another?
Lordmonkus replied to FlightRisk's topic in Troubleshooting
Maybe if it was combined under another rom for the same game if you had LB combine roms. But if it was a completely different game then it shouldn't.- 1 reply

It's number of posts, the exact numbers I couldn't tell you. -
Trouble after changing PCs - dll errors
Lordmonkus replied to silentsoundguy's topic in Troubleshooting
Those messages look like missing dlls for any plugins you are using in LB, most likely required by certain themes. I will tag @Jason Carr so he can have a look and provide further information. -
Trouble after changing PCs - dll errors
Lordmonkus replied to silentsoundguy's topic in Troubleshooting
Without knowing the exact dll errors it's impossible to tell you what exactly is happening then.
