  1. There is no Launchbox.xml but look in your\Data folder, you will find any xml files you will want to edit in there.
  2. No, this is not something is able to be done right now.

Then like I said, it is most likely a rom issue.
  4. Not unless there is an API from Metacritic and Jason can hook into it.

That looks like an incompatible rom since it is saying it cannot find a specific rom file within the zip file, arcade games are a collection of rom files in a zip file which the emulator uses.
  6. Lots of guides on the YouTube channel on setting up and importing Mame and FBA and Retroarch.
  7. You can get the Mame CHD set from the PleasureDome and possibly other places but that is where I know they are. They also have the FBA set which can also be gotten from the Emu Paradise forums. Up to you which set and emulator you choose to use.
  8. Yes but they require the CHDs along with those roms if you are using Mame and its romset. If you are using FBA and its romset you shouldn't need the CHDs. Also there are some non CHD versions of the Mame roms but they are not the normal roms.
  9. Do you have the CHDs for those games ?
  10. Actually it's not confusing for new users, only you. Again, Arcade is a platform, Mame and FBA are not. We have lots of guides on the YouTube channel and written ones here on the forums and an extremely helpful community. There is a difference in "trying to understand" something and just telling us "it's all wrong". Locking thins thread.
  11. You can use an auto generated playlist to show a history.
  12. Arcade is a platform, NeoGeo is under SNK NeoGeo, Retroarch is not a platform and neither is Mame. You need to assign an emulator to it. First off, what is FB ? I first thought this was a typo for LB but now I have no clue. Launchbox doesn't tell or force people what to use, that is up to the end user, it gives much more flexibility. Edit: I have no clue if I am understanding you correctly or not, you are not explaining your issue very well beyond "Launchbox is doing it wrong".
  13. Can you explain your issue more clearly here ? I'm not understanding what your problem is exactly. The problem here is of the emulator fails to load a game for whatever reason (missing bios, incorrect command line or whatever) Launchbox has no way of knowing what the issue is to spit an error out to you. So you are saying that end users should generate a playlist in RA which requires a very specific rom set and doesn't work with CD based systems yet and Launchbox should use that playlist ? Why would you add an extra layer to things that is not needed, LB doesn't care what rom set you use so it makes life easier on the end user in that regard. Launchbox lets you choose which core you use with a simple dropdown menu, it really can't be much more easier than that, download the core in RA so that it is in your cores folder and select that core from within Launchbox.
  14. What version of Launchbox are you using ? This is something that @Jason Carr did some work on improving recently.
  15. It's what the emulator needs to load roms via command line.
  16. So like 200 to 300 autogenerated playlists ? If so that is a lot and will cause issues.
  17. I like to use the shortcut method like Neil, that way I can rename them to be what they need to be for the scraper.
  18. No issues here, maybe it is caching images or you have more than a normal amount of auto generated playlists which can be problematic because of all the xml parsing that is going on.
  19. What you could do is to go to root of the drive and do a search for *.exe and that will filter out all the executable files. Select them all and drag them in like Neil said above. Make sure that only the game files are being imported by removing anything that you don't want imported like a config tool or something.
  20. Are you doing some sort of super resolution thing in this setup ? I have seen this happen in windows when doing that sort of thing.
  21. RA doesn't know what core is the proper core when loading a game via command line which is what is being done through LB, you have to tell it what core to use.
  22. Ah that's good to hear that many is working, the last I heard it wasn't that much but it's not a system to keep up to date on either.
  23. Good to hear you got it working, in the future be sure to watch the tutorial videos on the youtube channel or check the Guides and Tutorials thread for any emulators you need to get working. Also you can join us on Discord and ask questions, almost always someone online that can answer some questions when you get stuck. https://discord.gg/jWqXFd
