  1. I could be very wrong here but to my knowledge the pcsx2 core in retroarch hasn't been kept up to date with the standalone version so it probably has a lot of missing features. I personally use pcsx2 standalone for this reason.
  2. Just a thought but have you checked that the buttons all work on a switch? If not then it's the controller if so it's the adapter.
  3. For those seeing what I've been calling the "deadly font lock" issue, I have it too and have had it for literal years. I just figured it was something on my system trying to scan for viruses or something but now that I've seen someone else have it too I thought I'd mention it as it seems it isn't solely a local issue.
  4. Finally a real image download tool! This should be included in the main app.
  5. Ryujinx doesn't need any special parameters as long as you configure the emu to start in fullscreen. RPCS3 has settings pre-populated when you add it to LB. Cemu also has settings pre-populated when you add the emu to LB. If you already have the emulators setup in LB and the launch settings aren't there you can just remove the emu from LB and re-add it, just be sure to select the emu from the dropdown before adding the exe and it will auto-populate the launch settings and platforms.
  6. Does the game load in Retroarch without launching through Launchbox? If no then the problem is either the game archive or dosbox pure, if yes then the problem is likely the emulator settings in launchbox. When I set my dos games up with Dosbox Pure they all worked without issue so not sure how else to help, hopefully I didn't just repeat what everyone else said, good luck.
  7. If I'm ever in a position to upgrade hardware and unsure of what is compatible with my current stuff I use PC Part Picker, with it you could enter your current motherboard and ram and it will filter only parts that are compatible. Just select the motherboard and ram you already have and when you select your cpu it will auto filter compatible parts based on what you already have in the list.
  8. If you're familiar with something like Retropie, which has specific paths that it wants files in, this isn't like that. Your games and emulators can be anywhere you want, you just need to setup the paths in the relevant sections for it to work. I recommend watching the guides on the tutorials playlist on the official Youtube channel: LaunchBox/BigBox Tutorials
  9. Glad to see the new update for 4.0! I'm really looking forward to the full release.
  10. I'll check those out too, I didn't realize there were new ones already. Thanks for the links!
  11. This happens when the emulator doesn't yet support a new game. Honestly there isn't anything that can be done about it since Ryu is no longer developed, rumor is that Nintendo payed off the dev to shut it down. I'm sure there will be new emulators to come along for switch but always beware of scam emulators especially when there is high demand for a solution.
  12. If the executable loads fine by itself why do you want to use DosBox to load it? You could add the games to Launchbox as standalone executables if that is the case. EDIT: Revisiting this since I wasn't really that helpful. For Dos games that are preinstalled I archive them and load them in RetroArch with the DosBox Pure core. It's very well designed and allows you to set a default executable for each title so when you launch it from Launchbox it will prompt you which exe to run and then it should load that one by default every time after that. I've even had good luck installing Windows 98 in this core and running old Win9x games that way. As far as translations go I don't have any experience there but hopefully someone will notice this that can help with that.

Well, if I were making wishes I'd suggest starting with the most common platforms that weren't already included, such as Playstation 1, Playstation 3, Xbox, Gameboy, Gameboy Color, Nintendo DS, Nintendo 64, Gamecube, Sega Genesis/Megadrive, Sega CD, Sega Dreamcast, Sega Saturn. That list would make most libraries feel pretty complete I think.

I tried it out, it looks great and feels nice and snappy. Only downside I see is a lack of platform support but I'm sure that will come with time if you keep working on it. Overall very nice theme.

Wow this looks super clean, can't wait to give it a try!
  16. I'm not super familiar with Launchbox logs yet but I did notice there are a lot of messages about a missing image. Have you recently moved any images around manually that it might be looking for? Other than that I'd recommend refreshing the image cache in BigBox, I have had luck with that in the past. You can find it in BigBox at Settings>Image Cache>Refresh All Images.
  17. I think the real question is "is it helpful posting in the troubleshooting category for a non-constructive reason?" and the answer is no. @skizzosjt Thanks for the example script, I've recently been going through my collection of fangames and opensource ports and such and this will greatly come in handy!
  18. Does you happen to be on the latest beta? Also what version of Dolphin are you on?
  19. Is there any error displayed when it crashes?
  20. I've had this problem too and cannot remember off hand what I did to fix it. Have you tried just dragging the .xiso files from explorer onto the LaunchBox window? I think that works still.
  21. Just out of curiosity, does this happen on the Default theme too?
  22. I just tested on mine and it's working fine for me. Keep in mind that sometimes BigBox doesn't respond to certain inputs until you switch platforms once. Also I did have trouble with my keyboards' G1-G6 buttons not working with the long press but I believe that is related to Corsair and not BigBox. I'd try it again and keep in mind that you need to jiggle the platform wheel a little before it will allow a long-press action and if you're trying to use a button that isn't part of the standard 101-key keyboard keys then it may not work.
  23. Thanks for the mention of MusicBee, I hadn't heard of it and trying out has been exactly what I've been looking for.
  24. I didn't even realize there was support in Dolphin now, thanks for the info!
  25. Just posting this here for anyone else that runs across the issue I just had. Basically I noticed that my Arcade games no longer launched in RetroArch properly even though other systems worked fine. I checked the settings in Retroarch for Associated Platforms and Arcade was set to extract roms, which need to be disabled for Mame. Hopefully this helps someone avoid the couple hours it took me to figure it out.
