  1. and a working ROM file too would help
  2. did you download the Mednafen core in Retroarch?
  3. LaunchBox / BigBox needs to access the image files very quickly so your best bet is to have your installation on a drive that can read very quickly so an SSD would be better in my opinion. Luckily if you ever did make the move you can simply drag your LaunchBox folder over to the new drive but will need to make sure your ROM paths are correct. As and example if your installation is on a F: drive now and you add a SSD as your main C: drive then your ROM paths will still be pointing to the F: drive which will be fine. But if it's already on a C: drive and the Roms are too then you would need to change the ROM paths
  4. One thing to mention , I have not setup Contana or tried Contana I plugged in the mic then found it wasn't picking up my voice so I boosted it up in the settings first in LaunchBox (slider almost to the right) then when I tried to move it all the way to the right LaunchBox crashed so I then boosted it up in Windows and it worked.... But only when I say COMPUTER
  5. I know this won't help but I just followed this tutorial from @SentaiBrad and it worked perfectly. Before that I was getting a blank screen too and I found the Roms I had were bad
  6. Yes it would be faster in my experience (as the pc I use is old), launchbox is self contained so you should just be able to just move it...... I've not tried it tho so if I were you I would copy it over and test before deleting the one on the 2TB HDD
  7. My biggest advice at this point would be to add a SSD and put windows and launchbox on there and use your old drive just for the Roms, only because you want windows and launchbox running as fast as possible and the Roms on a larger, cheaper, slower drive is fine.
  8. @Khenemet Heru Here's a good starting point Database Signup , Thanks for the help it's appreciated
  9. Sure this will get sorted at some point soon @Supreme at least it's working again for now again. As LaunchBox and BigBox are in development most days with new versions and newer beta versions out most days then these problems will occur, the best approach is to leave feedback in the Beta testing thread and see if some else has the same problem in the BitBucket or mention it in one of the live development sessions
  10. I have read in the beta testing thread about that but I don't know I will need to check how mine is set up. If thats the case you could try doing your best American accent
  11. I only have 4gb of ram and have the cache set too 2gb, might help. I have 16,000 games and it runs ok, also I make sure that when I add a new platform and games that I scroll through the list making sure all the images load (cache) before I use Launchbox, I don't know if it makes much difference but when I re-scroll the images are already loaded if that makes sence
  12. How much ram do you have installed and what is the cache set to in the settings?
  13. @Mizar I am also from the UK and have only just fitted a Mic to my cabinet over the weekend. I found I had to goto "Recording Devices" click the Microphone and then "Properties" and move the levels to the right on both. This may not solve your problem but until I did this it couldn't pick up my voice..... Oh and it only works when I say "Computer"
  14. , it's one small cabinet, I can't imagine playing daley thompson decathlon on it
  15. That was like opening a Christmas present to get there
  16. @andyco47 are you downloading them from the download button on the right?
  17. I only use the built in Windows Defender software and I've not had any problems. Most anti-virus software adds way to much background processes for me.
  18. Fail Message: -"Oh Smeg" (Red Dwarf) Smegging Marvellous
  19. Thanks, there obviously based around @Jason Carr Bartop Cabinet theme so there not right out there in the design. @Maddoc1007 I'll add a blank background image as soon as possible (prob the weekend as working away).

  22. On the SSD as these are things you want to load up super quick
  23. I don't know about the benefits but the VLC engine I believe is integrated into LaunchBox but WMP has to installed on the users machines.
  24. It's not the known ghosting issue, it's almost a refresh issue with the selected clear logo
  25. I would put windows , Launchbox and Kodi all on a SSD drive and then my roms on a very large internal HDD
