  1. @Jason Carr Hi Jason! Just updated this morning to find out the new platform categories are in there, very cool! I just wanted to let you know that I have found a bug with it. All of my platforms are sorted properly, most of which were automatic too but I have also found that two of my platforms will not sort at all. I have my Commodore64 roms split into three categories, these are Tape, Disk and Cart images. The Cart sorted automatically but the tape and the disk will not sort at all. They are already in the computers category and even if I change it to console or handheld, they stay unnested. I added the cart images fist so it looks like it thinks they are already sorted because they are scraped as the same platform from the LB database. Another couple of thoughts separate from the bug are... blank platform category so I can uncategorize a platform if I choose to, like a tools category for example. Need at least two total stages for the sorting. Custom categories. No idea what you plan to do when but I like it so far, THANKS!
  2. @Jason Carr I will and thank you very much for taking the time Jason. Looking forward to seeing you on tomorrow's stream! Have a wonderful rest of your day!
  3. You know what the WORST part of your program is? The part I HATE so much? I mean, so bad it makes me sick, keeps me up at night even? Yeah, the fact I don't have it, right now, in my hands... Such a good job I can't thank you enough. The wait for the new version is simply killing me.
  4. @Jason Carr I said I would record a video of the performance issues I was having with BB. I mentioned it Monday on the stream but have had this problem only much worse for the last month or two at least. You asked me to remove the custom filters from my LB altogether and I must say, it has helped immensely. The video is after I removed the filters. Thing is, it is, as you might be able to tell, still very very slow. At least BB doesn't freeze for over a minute while changing platforms anymore. I was wondering if you could take a quick peek at the video and tell me if that kind of hitching and slowdowns is a normal thing for BB with a large library. My LB is installed onto my Samsung 850Pro 512GB SSD so the storage throughput is certainly not an issue. I also tried putting my LB on both of my 4TB HGST NAS drives and on an old as the hills and twice as crusty 1TB Toshiba desktop drive and it performs essentially identical with the only drive causing even slightly slower browsing being the Toshiba, which is to be expected. The long load time for BB to open initially is no big deal for me, really. I would gladly have it take minutes longer if it could just scroll smoothly. I know it is not for me to say here, since this is your baby and all that. LB seems to very rarely if ever use more than one core. Would it not be a good idea to have subsequent cores load games ahead of time instead of relying on just the one core to do it all? Also, I recall you mentioning on another thread some time ago that LB/BB has to scan through the entire library while loading metadata or images, something like that. Pre-loading ahead of time might be a good place to start. But you don't have to take my word for it... 5. Well, sure, there are circumstances where the RA core is better or works better for a specific configuration. 4DO and a lot of the less often used emulators, though, can be a real mess with the RA core. I also have noticed that their framerate detection, V syncing and resolution control for RA, in general, is rather lackluster. But of course, with all things, especially emulation related, your preferences will vary wildly from person to person, and system to system. The 4DO core is pretty bad tho...
  6. Just finished importing the whole set... Imported zero roms.
  7. Never a need to worry! I have been helped so much on these forums so far, I thought it only fitting to try and give back a little. Take care and if you have anymore problems, let us know!
  8. I actually ran into this exact issue just a few days ago. Not with CEMu but still, the same kind of problem. The WiiU emulators available right now are VERY early in the stages of development right now. If you must use these images compressed, you can extract them all and then compress the entire directory with NTFS file compression. It is not as good by FAR over 7z, RAR even regular ZIP but it will cut out anything that is easily compressible and save a few hundred megs each on average. Buddy of mine is working on a launcher for LB that should be able to address this problem even if LB never adds this feature directly. This feature and multi-disk mounting from and not from ZIPS is also to be developed but that version won't be even started till at least sometime next month, currently at the paper prototype and flow charts stage. You may just be stuck with this for the moment or you can try the BAT method, which should work but will be a bit cumbersome.
  9. Hello all you amazing people! I was using LighSpeed for my MAME collection but now I can't anymore because it is no longer compatible with the LB split XML files, this is fine by me because i don't really care that much about doubling up on the media. I do have a problem tho. I am using a Tzipped split MAME set and I just updated it. THismakes me have to use the built in MAME importer. Thing is, it is throwing hundreds of errors and I am not sure if this is something that is new with the beta update, specific to a split set or if it is something I can ignore because of the skipping of some kinds of games. Here is a snap of the first few hundred errors I am getting. I am now up to 622 errors and it is still cranking up rather quickly. Any help here would be appreciated. THANKS!
  10. You know, I have the same kind of problem. My games work but all it does is load the 3DO BIOS and not the game itself. I will have to hit F1 and load the game manually, kinda defeating the purpose of using LB in the first place. I do have a recommendation @mrwasi . I would recommend just using the main 4DO app and not RA core for 3DO emulation. The RA core is MUCH older than the dedicated emulator and the RA core has completely broken Vsync whereas the main emulator does not. I know most people like using the RA cores for stuff because of the shaders and whatnot nut when it comes down to it, you really should use the original emulators instead if that is possible for your setup. I have tested the same thing with 4DO directly and LB loads up the images and runs them perfectly WITH Vsync. Good luck, and happy gaming!
  11. if you are using a version with split XMLs it will not work at all. I use LightSpeed with the non-beta and then updated to Beta. Has the split XMLs been merged to stable yet? Glad I got it all imported before the change.
  12. MegaMan Classic Soundpack View File All I did was load up some MegaMan NFS files into Nestopia, record these and then do a little cleaning in audacity. I have always enjoyed the MegaMan music so I thought this was fitting. I kinda just wanted to have to do the Robot Master select jingle when I started LB but I figured, as I went on, that the other sounds were cool enough to use. Have Fun! 14. Well, that seems perfectly reasonable as a general rule of thumb. You don't actually want to over complicate things anyways, especially since LBs seems to have a major focus on ease of use. Besides, I think more of those funtastic optimizations are probably higher priority anyways.
  15. I will take note of this and will, at some point I am importing the rest of my collections, provide specific examples as they come up. Sometimes, it's silly stuff like a couple sports title have the 'featuring sport guy' and if you remove that, it works fine but god help you if you should leave it there. I am still happier with the way LB/BB does it more so than several other FEs and media collection tools I have used in the past. So I can just say, meh and shrug it off.
  16. At this point, I am not importing anything, this is just a rescan of all of my games for missing images. up to 15000 errors now but it seems that for every few hundred errors I get one or two games in a row that work fine. BUT, this 15K of errors and I am nearly done with the whole process. Last time, I couldn't get past half way before every single image errored out. I took to updating only one platform at a time and that usually keeps the errors down below a few dozen per platform. Seems like the fewer games I process, the fewer errors occur. I wish I could replicate it more easily than having to update all of my media and waiting an average of 6 or so hours before it starts happening.
  17. @Jason Carr I went on ahead and redid the sync like I said I would, just a lot later than I should have. I caught these snaps when there were only about 6500 errors. It takes a huge amount longer to fail and they seem to be all 404 not found or 400 bad requests associated with api.gamebase.com.
  18. It happens with EmuMovies too but not nearly as often. Shouldn't there be some kind of thing where it says 'This is a list of games that don't have matches, this is what I think it is, id this ok or am I wrong?'. I have no idea what this kind of thing would be called or even if it is feasible for the time being but that would be a good idea. The E thing for Pokemon and such should be easy to say that e is equal to é and then it should find it. Right? Or am I just being a dope here? Which is likely.
  19. +1 on this. Too many games are literally one char off and are missed in media downloads. Takes way too long to go through a few hundred or even a few thousand games and rename them manually.
  20. I uninstalled this ages ago. It has always caused major instability in my system. I hate the fact that it is now included with the AMD drivers. Thank you for the heads up, though. I am sure a lot of people were having this problem.
  21. I JUST came here to ask exactly the same question! Gotta have that filename somewhere. Details at least. +1

    Bezel Support?

If I could plus nine hundred ninety nine septillion, I would. Plus one will do for now tho... +1
  23. @Jason Carr I apologize wholeheartedly for, in my haste, I closed LB and the errors are no longer there to show you. I did poke through them and most were a bad request and a couple thousand were a file missing message. I am sure to try and update my media again withing the next few days and I will be 100% sure to take a few screenshots for you. What is curious to me, is that a bunch of the games, I selected manually and they both had media and it downloaded from the edit windows just fine. I will be sure to do more troubleshooting and report back. again, sorry about that.
  24. I am putting this here because I have a feeling the answer is rather simple. I have been trying to sync up my media collection so download images and such that I don't currently have. I put all of my media folders on another drive so space isn't an issue anymore and have been trying to use LBs built in "download metadata and images" feature. This is not a short process either and takes at least 24 hours to do what I have already imported. I have a few questions so I will list them below. When the process is about half done, I start getting errors. They are all bad requests and I have attached an image of it. I have checked both all of LB DB media AND EmuMovies media, shouldn't is download the LB DB stuff instead if EmuMovies isn't working for some reason? Can I just select games that don't have all the media or at least sort by games that don't have a certain media type so I can only parse those? Because I don't want to have to scan or redownload images that have already been acquired. Thank you in advance for any help you guys can give, I love this community, you are all so helpful!
