  1. How are your roms named? show a image of that rom folder.
  2. No, we are volunteers who do this for free.
  3. Providing you roms to download would be HUGELY illegal, which clearly isnt a good thing for a legitimate software company to be doing if it wants to stay a software company and not get sued into the ground by the likes of Nintendo, Sega, Sony as well as game publishers. No where on our website or in the program itself do we imply that we supply you with roms. Its not misleading at all, i have a full MAME romset, i want to import it into Launchbox, so i use the MAME fullset importer in order to make it look pretty and be easily accessible in one place. This is all Launchbox is, a launcher for files you already have, nothing more and nothing less.
  4. As we said though, it will download images for your Arcade games. Here is mine, fabulous are they not? When i dig into that folder i find this, its quite normal, its absolutely full of the Arcade roms i downloaded yesterday/last week/years ago. And oh my, the beauty.
  5. lol, maybe do some research?? Nah thats a stupid thing to do, ill just complain on there forums and out myself as a complete moron instead.
  6. Correct. It has never been advertised as anything else.
  7. lol, we are for once, in 100% agreement on something.
  8. You only have two options, Demul, or the Flycast core in Retroarch, i use Flycast.
  9. Thats why i asked, Launchbox just imported what you told it to, no more, no less, for CD based systems with more than one file you need to specify what to import, generally just by highlighting them and dragging and dropping to Launchbox. As for the WinCE games you will have to specify a different emulator in the edit window of the specific games if you have already imported them, as they will be set to use Redream also currently. You can do this in bulk by highlighting all the games you want to change and then right clicking one and edit, to open the bulk edit wizard.
  10. Right click the game, Edit, additional applications tab, click on the version you want, and then click the "make default" game.
  11. Google is you friend there, search pleasuredome or internet archive. Links to roms are not aloud on these forums, so that is the most help you will get.
  12. Well im saying we do not have a UWP app so Launchbox on the XBOX isnt possible, quite simple to understand i feel.
  13. Yes, it did always work, but that form was changed to a new format and that was missed out by mistake.
  14. I think i recall bringing this up with @C-Beats in private, and he did say that it was a omission since the forms were changed. I'm not sure if its been implemented into the forthcoming beta or not, as its been six or seven weeks since the previous official release at this point, and i dont have inside knowledge as what is added until everybody else, so hopefully @C-Beats can confirm for us?
  15. Sounds like you installed to the wrong location. Updates DO NOT touch any of your data, so the only way for you to have zero games is if you installed it to the wrong location. I'm 100% certain if you were to look in your original Launchbox folder you now have a new Launchbox folder within it as you set the path in the installer to your Launchbox folder itself, rather than a level higher as actually needed.
  16. The same options are available in Bigbox i believe.
  17. The launchbox folder contains both the launchbox.exe and the bigbox.exe, if you dont have the bigbox one id look to see if you have over zealous antivirus installed that has deleted it.
  18. Also Space Invaders would possibly be imported under the name "Cosmic Monsters" as i believe that is the default and Space Invaders is a clone of that, same thing with Pacman and puckman, and as you were trying to specify regions that may of been messing with things.
  19. The 0 games imported message usually only shows when the game you are trying to import is already imported. Can you actually specify some games that are missing and what platforms please, just saying i have some missing doesnt really help to much.
  20. Do you have multiples of the same games from different regions? If so they will be "Combined" into one entry in Launchbox, you can right click a game and choose which version to play. So if you have say Rockman (JAP) and Mega Man (USA) and Mega Man (EUR) all three of those games will have just one entry in Launchbox as they are all the same game, just from different regions.
  21. You need to tell Launchbox which core to use. Tools/Manage Emulators/Associated Platform Tab, find PS1 which will currently have beetle as the core, double click that to open the dropdown and choose Duckstation instead.
  22. Show me where he said that? He said no such thing he just stated that MAME is very simple, its users that seem to complicate it for no obvious reasons. Generally it is just like other emulators, you download a pack of roms and you download the emulator, you then tell the emulator where the roms are, and set your controls/options, again just like any other emulator up to this point. The only difference here is matching the emulator version, but thats as simple as downloading the version you need (every single release ever is available from here MAME | Previous Releases (mamedev.org) so getting the correct version is no different than downloading any other emulator). And as long as the romset you downloaded hasnt been tampered with and had things removed then it contains absolutely everything you need, its when users start saying well i dont want all of this and start deleting games that issues occur, as they tend to delete what they think are unrelated games, when in fact you may have dozens, sometimes 100's of other games that rely on files within the zip you deleted. Keep it simple, get a split/merged/non-merged romset, get the correct emulator for it, if you want to keep your roms outside of the emulators folder tell the emulator where to find them, setup controls/options if needed, as i said earlier, really no different than any other emulator, if you are doing other things that then complicate this very simple setup then you cant really blame that on the emulator, as you are doing things it is not designed to do, and thats on you, not the devs of MAME.
