  1. Thats on Epic, nothing to do with us, it's part of there security that it only remembers your login for a limited time via a browser, which is what is used here to link to your account.
  2. You need to add the platform as well as the core its to use in the associated platform tab. Tools/Manage Emulators/Retroarch/Associated Platforms tab.
  3. The CHD romset contains all disk dumps known, whether the games run in MAME or not. A lot of those simply do not currently work in MAME at all, so are not really needed. Much like the roms themselves to be honest, there are also a ton in that romset that dont currently run in MAME, but are there regardless and will hopefully become compatible in the future.
  4. Did you leave the "remove roughly matched images" box checked? If so that will make the import take a long long time.
  5. You need to add that platform to the associated platform tab of your retroarch emulator and tell it which core to use, just add it to the empty cell at the bottom of the list.
  6. Well you obviously need to delete the bezels you dont want, otherwise you will have to specifically pick the bezel you want for every game once its loaded.
  7. There is a very old guide here. (632) Super Nintendo Emulation for Beginners with SNES9x - LaunchBox Tutorials - YouTube And do your settings match this image from that video?
  8. Are your snes roms zipped?
  9. Probably needs a command-line to tell it to actually run the rom, but i dont know what that is off hand. I havent used standalone snes9x in over 10 years at this point.
  10. Use the mupen64plus_next core.
  11. Try this. BigBox Graphical Glitching v11.3-11.6 *Solved - Page 3* - Troubleshooting - LaunchBox Community Forums (launchbox-app.com)
  12. Well Arcade doesnt use box - front, it uses advertisement flyers, so if you dont have those checked under your box - front priorities then you wont see them. This is why the priorities are there in the first place, you can add/remove as well as reorder them as you see fit. I cant tell you what to select for your specific build, check the image types you want per image type, in the order that you would like to see them. It's quite straight forward, only want to see box front or flyers for arcade and nothing else where a box is supposed to show, then just check those two image types under the Box - Front image priorities and anywhere a box is shown only those two image types will be shown. Same for screenshot priorities, uncheck anything that isnt a screenshot and arrange the remaining screenshot types in the order of your preference.
  13. Number 4 is the correct one, all the others are the opposite of what i said to do. If you are getting two screenshots there that is because you dont have a box - front so its falling back to another image type based on your priorities for your Box - Front priorities.
  14. Mess is part of mame so either can be used. There is a core just called "mame" which is the kept up to date in line with the standalone version, it is however not currently in the downloader since the recent github attack that caused such havoc a month or two ago.
  15. For me that bottom image is the game video snap, so i assume you dont have any videos so its falling back to a image type. So after removing a video i see it displays a Screenshot - Title Screen for me. Looking in my priorities in Launchbox Title screen is my top preference in the screenshot priority section. So Bigbox is falling back to screenshots if no video and you must have Box - Front checked in that section, and has a higher priority than actual screenshots, why you have done that in the screenshots section i dont know, but you need to either remove Box - Front completely, or move it further down the priority list.
  16. To clarify, they cant update the program as the download gets towards the end but never completes, the same thing when downloading the updataed metadata file, it gets close to the end but never completes. This is not a updating games metadata issue, its files pulled from the servers issue.
  17. I think he means the metadata file, not actual game updates.
  18. No need to post to multiple threads with the same question. I suspect you left the remove roughly matched images option checked in the wizard, that will hugely slow down imports.
  19. You cant currently I'm afraid.
  20. It would probably help people to help you if you specified what theme you are actually using, and also show some images of what you see. Its probably a image priorities issue, but not knowing the theme being used it could be that the theme is programmed to be the way you see it and no other way, but i cant say for sure without the important detail of the theme being used.
  21. He made it that way to scare off people who didnt know what they were doing as he is not prepared to offer support to people who do not know what they are doing with programs like this. It is not a virus, but antivirus's will see it as so due to the way it has to work. It's clear that people in this thread do not understand what is going on here, these games are not emulated in the normal sense of the word. All these games were essentially PC's in cabinets, and the anti piracy methods were several, including the games not launching on any hardware that varies, even slightly from the hardware in the cabinet, as well as the exact same version of windows (which i entirely hope that you are not running these days), this means all parts of the PC not just CPU/GPU but right down to things like bluetooth adapters and controllers connected etc. So this loader "tricks" the game into thinking that it is running on the exact hardware and OS that it is supposed to be, this is done with .dll's and injecting the .exe files, which is exactly how a virus would behave, hence the flags you see from antivirus software. Even then though it doesnt guarantee games will work as i said anything different on your PC than the original cabinet could mean games dont work, and it just shows a generic error regardless of the actual issue preventing the launch, even not having your controller on or connected when launching the game can cause the error and for it not to work. Also not all PC's are the same and you may need different loader settings than someone else in order to trick the game into working, this is absolutely not a one size fits all solution, but it is what it is. If you want to play these games, this is how, if you dont like the virus warnings and lack of support from the developer of the loader, then dont use it. These are not trivial systems to "emulate" and they come with many potential issues, so you live with them, or dont use these systems. Also a lot of these games are available officially on steam and the like for PC, so you could you know actually buy the games you want, theres a novel thought eh?
  22. The steam importer is working just fine, there must be a issue in your configuration somewhere. User ID. API Key. Name the Platform what you want. Check preferred box's for metadata. Choose art preferences. And finally it will parse your account and offer you a list where you can then check/uncheck what games you want and import.
  23. You cant, it will take as long as it needs to take. It will be no different to starting it from the desktop.
  24. I couldnt care less personally, im just making sure someone has all the facts before they blindly spend money on what i would call snake oil. If it works for you then thats fine, but outright stating it makes your internet faster i find misleading at best, and a outright lie at worst. As i said though if you are happy with it thats great, a disagreeing opinion doesnt mean your opinion is wrong, just that i disagree. I have tried several download managers over the years, and the only benefit i see in using them is for resuming downloads that stop, they are never any faster, but as i say downloads through my browser maxes out my internet anyway, so i cant physically download any faster, software is not going to magically make my internet connection better than what it is.
  25. Cant say i have ever had my browser not max out my connection, unless its a server/website that limits bandwidth to free users, in which case those usually limit the ip to one connection at a time, so a download manager wouldnt make that faster either. My point stands though, there is a physical limit on your download speed that is based on your wiring and route to the nearest exchange as well as the route taken. There is nothing you can do to make your internet actually faster with software, its a hardware limit. Downloaders can help by breaking a file into chunks and downloading more than one chunk at a time (much like what torrents do) but that just means if you are downloading two chunks instead of one then both those chunks are downloading twice as slow as normal, as you cannot download faster than what your connection is. Also if the actual download client is telling you that you are getting faster speeds id take that with a grain of salt, a massive grain of salt if it says its faster than what your isp says it is actually supplying you, its not unknown for software to shall we say "exaggerate" how good it is.
