  1. You cant currently I'm afraid.
  2. It would probably help people to help you if you specified what theme you are actually using, and also show some images of what you see. Its probably a image priorities issue, but not knowing the theme being used it could be that the theme is programmed to be the way you see it and no other way, but i cant say for sure without the important detail of the theme being used.
  3. He made it that way to scare off people who didnt know what they were doing as he is not prepared to offer support to people who do not know what they are doing with programs like this. It is not a virus, but antivirus's will see it as so due to the way it has to work. It's clear that people in this thread do not understand what is going on here, these games are not emulated in the normal sense of the word. All these games were essentially PC's in cabinets, and the anti piracy methods were several, including the games not launching on any hardware that varies, even slightly from the hardware in the cabinet, as well as the exact same version of windows (which i entirely hope that you are not running these days), this means all parts of the PC not just CPU/GPU but right down to things like bluetooth adapters and controllers connected etc. So this loader "tricks" the game into thinking that it is running on the exact hardware and OS that it is supposed to be, this is done with .dll's and injecting the .exe files, which is exactly how a virus would behave, hence the flags you see from antivirus software. Even then though it doesnt guarantee games will work as i said anything different on your PC than the original cabinet could mean games dont work, and it just shows a generic error regardless of the actual issue preventing the launch, even not having your controller on or connected when launching the game can cause the error and for it not to work. Also not all PC's are the same and you may need different loader settings than someone else in order to trick the game into working, this is absolutely not a one size fits all solution, but it is what it is. If you want to play these games, this is how, if you dont like the virus warnings and lack of support from the developer of the loader, then dont use it. These are not trivial systems to "emulate" and they come with many potential issues, so you live with them, or dont use these systems. Also a lot of these games are available officially on steam and the like for PC, so you could you know actually buy the games you want, theres a novel thought eh?
  4. The steam importer is working just fine, there must be a issue in your configuration somewhere. User ID. API Key. Name the Platform what you want. Check preferred box's for metadata. Choose art preferences. And finally it will parse your account and offer you a list where you can then check/uncheck what games you want and import.
  5. You cant, it will take as long as it needs to take. It will be no different to starting it from the desktop.
  6. I couldnt care less personally, im just making sure someone has all the facts before they blindly spend money on what i would call snake oil. If it works for you then thats fine, but outright stating it makes your internet faster i find misleading at best, and a outright lie at worst. As i said though if you are happy with it thats great, a disagreeing opinion doesnt mean your opinion is wrong, just that i disagree. I have tried several download managers over the years, and the only benefit i see in using them is for resuming downloads that stop, they are never any faster, but as i say downloads through my browser maxes out my internet anyway, so i cant physically download any faster, software is not going to magically make my internet connection better than what it is.
  7. Cant say i have ever had my browser not max out my connection, unless its a server/website that limits bandwidth to free users, in which case those usually limit the ip to one connection at a time, so a download manager wouldnt make that faster either. My point stands though, there is a physical limit on your download speed that is based on your wiring and route to the nearest exchange as well as the route taken. There is nothing you can do to make your internet actually faster with software, its a hardware limit. Downloaders can help by breaking a file into chunks and downloading more than one chunk at a time (much like what torrents do) but that just means if you are downloading two chunks instead of one then both those chunks are downloading twice as slow as normal, as you cannot download faster than what your connection is. Also if the actual download client is telling you that you are getting faster speeds id take that with a grain of salt, a massive grain of salt if it says its faster than what your isp says it is actually supplying you, its not unknown for software to shall we say "exaggerate" how good it is.
  8. It doesnt come back as you have force quit Bigbox so the process to bring back the cursor hasnt been run, as well as a bunch of other processes that need to be run at shutdow, but havent been if you force close it.
  9. Well thats not true, easier and more optimized, maybe, but nothing can make the connection to your house any faster than it currently is.
  10. You can also edit the existing entry's instead of adding a new one.
  11. Yeah, well that is obviously more complicated, but that lack of info is why i asked. I have a few of them imported, i just added the shortcuts.
  12. Id change your username if i was you, not a good idea to publicly share your email address.
  13. If that is empty then my guess is you have rather aggressive antivirus and its removing the setup file before it finishes downloading, so i would look at making a exception for the Launchbox folder. You can grab the 11.8 installer from the website like you did originally, just install over the top of your current build. Its exactly the same file, just that it needs to be manually triggered rather than Launchbox auto installing it.
  14. Trouble how? People would need more details than that if you expect them to help you. If you mean the Amazon Prime app, then they are no different to any other PC system, just import the shortcuts it creates when you install games.
  15. Yes, a GPU absolutely helps.
  16. Just right click the platform in the sidebar and delete it. Then import again with correct files.
  17. They should already be as they should be, unless he specifically changed stuff, messing with permissions can be very dangerous if you dont know what you are doing.
  18. That is likely the problem, Launchbox has never been tested to use Retroarch in that way where its being launched via another launcher. Try using the standard Retroarch, im pretty sure you will have no such errors there.
  19. No, that would be pretty pointless in Launchbox to be honest. Either the logos would be so small that you could barely read them, or they would have to be made bigger, then you would also need to make that sidebar much wider, and you would only fit a handful of logos on the screen at once, meaning you would be constantly scrolling for things which isnt really a great desktop UI experience. At the end of the day we have Bigbox mode for that, and it is specifically designed for that purpose.
  20. Wow, really??? The dev doesnt have to put the product on sale at all you know? What makes you so special and entitled that it MUST go on sale, and that it MUST go on sale the day you want it to go on sale? We had a sale on the busiest sale day in the world, if you didnt bother to check if we were running a sale like every other store/website in the world, then thats 100% on you. If you want the software that much then whats the difference of $10 for a yearly sub to you?
  21. Globally in Tools/Options, or per emulator under Tools/Manage emulators.
  22. You know what they say about assumptions? We only do one sale a year, and its never been on Cyber Monday. Licenses are of course still available, and its worth its normal price.
  23. Improvement: With the new startup screen features (assuming they are enabled) it should now be nearly impossible to start multiple instances of a game or mess up window focus by spamming buttons or keys during game launch Added in version 9.2 back on December 20 2018.
  24. I see you have no images for Arcade there in Launchbox. In Bigbox do you have the option to hide games with no media turned on? Because if the option is on for whatever image type is selected there in Launchbox then all those games will be hidden, and therefore the platorm.
