  1. They dont work for MAME, period. A lot of consoles have them and FBA has some support, but MAME does not.
  2. As I said, the core doesn't support them either.
  3. MAME doesn't support achievements period. Any emulator has be specifically coded to support them. Retroarch supports them globally, but again its up to Individual cores on whether they actually support them or not.
  4. Well im in the UK as well and Escape works out of the box, as it should. So whatever is interfering seems to be isolated to your PC, especially if its the same on different keyboards.
  5. Sounds like, you changed the buttons at some point, back is Escape by default out out the box. Go to the Launchbox/Data folder and move out the Bigboxsettings.xml and start Bigbox after, that will reset Bigbox to default settings, does Escape now work?
  6. Yeah those have to match, otherwise Launchbox doesnt no what emulator to use. If you named the platform PC Engine, but there is no PC Engine entry in Associated platforms then Launchbox doesnt no how to launch the games for that platform.
  7. I wouldnt expect a reply on any weekend, let alone one which is also a public holiday. Early next week would be my guess.
  8. Its a holiday weekend, you may have to wait.
  9. Thats a Retroarch setting, it's nothing to do with Launchbox. Settings/On Screen Display/On Screen Notifications/Notification Visibility/ "Load Content" Startup Notification.
  10. Im sure they will be added eventually, but there is no rush, it's not like you can emulate them, you can barely emulate XBOX 360 and PS3 at this point.
  11. This works just fine, and if it works directly in Retroarch then you have a setting wrong in Launchbox. Do the name you gave the platform, and the name you gave it in the associated platform tab match?
  12. Yeah thats why i dont use retroarch at all for arcade, i just use standalone mame, plus Launchbox is launching into the games so i dont see the UI unless i need to, but i hate how in retroarch the mame/fba cores fight with retroarch itself over controls and ui.
  13. Well this is exactly my point, all the games from a FBA set are in the MAME set, some may be named differently, but FBA doesnt have anything that isnt in the MAME set, so why not just use MAME? You get all the games from the FBA set as well as a ton more. I guess i just dont understand why you want to use FBA at all if you already have a MAME romset, i mean MAME will play all the games from a FBA set and then some.
  14. Unfortunately this means you are using a pirated/shared license. You can fix this by actually buying a legitimate license.
  15. First question would be why do you even want to use FBANeo for a MAME romset? its a MAME romset not a FBA one, if you want to use FBANeo then you should have a FBA romset as they are not the same as MAME romsets. As to your actual question a playlist is always just a playlist it takes games from other platforms and combines them into a list, its by definition not a Platform. This option includes the playlist in the platforms list, its as simple as that, if it wasnt checked you would first have to change the dropdown to playlists and then pick it from there. You can do this per game, or in batch by highlighting the games you want to change from the actual Platform list, not the playlist.
  16. I didnt mention auto play, i actually asked if you have videos turned on, period in tools/options/game details.
  17. Core settings and controller remaps are not saved to the core, so redownloading it wont change anything. They are saved in the retroarch.cfg or in the config folder.
  18. You cant do both at the same time, its either or.
  19. Yes, decent transmitters and receivers should have a range of about 50 feet, less through walls.
  20. Controllers use bluetooth, not wifi. So if your laptop doesnt have built in bluetooth (which it probably does) just get a bluetooth dongle. WiFi controllers are not a thing, they are bluetooth or come with there own wireless USB dongles.
  21. There isnt supposed to be any background audio by default (unless a video is playing), you can turn it on in options though if you have some audio.
  22. Yes, like a controller or keyboard, some input device sending a command. Sounds like you have the video in the correct location of Launchbox/Videos/startup as it does start to play, so some sort of input is skipping it.
  23. Startup videos will play in there entirety or until you press a button to skip. If its skipping immediately that sounds to me like you have a rogue input sending commands.
  24. Have you actually turned on videos in Tools/Options/Game details?
  25. Prices increased from last year, so the discounts are also heavier to match, but yes everything is slightly more than last year, but the amount you are saving is actually more. A lifetime license is $75, so if you are upgrading from a yearly $30 to a lifetime you are paying $30 + $20 = $50, where as a actual lifetime license currently costs $75, so you are still saving 33%, which is a fair discount if you ask me.
