  1. Tools/Options/Game Details, make sure the box is checked for videos.
  2. I dont think duckstation supports them, i dont use it so cant say for sure, but if you want to use achievements you would be better off using retroarch, a lot of there cores do support them, but not all, beetle software for PS1 does support them i believe, but i doubt there are too many games that actually support them.
  3. You need to have a retro achivements account, RetroAchievements, and enter the details for it under tools/options/intergrations/retro achivements in Launchbox. Finally emulators themselves need to support retro achievements and those emulators also need to be logged into your account.
  4. Yeah, my point here is quite clear, Launchbox doesnt and most likely will never have a UWP version, so the discussion about running Launchbox on the XBOX is completely moot. If you want to run emulators on it you have Retroarch, and maybe someone will come along and make a frontend for it at some point in time, but thats more a discussion for a general emulation or XBOX modding forum, not one dedicate to a app that could never run on the XBOX.
  5. OK, first things first, Mods are not devs and we do not usually know what a code error is about, those are for the devs to decipher. Secondly, as to you getting no answers, thats probably because no one has a answer for you, again because you provided a code error that most people dont understand. Thirdly Launchbox/Bigbox work just fine since the .net core change, there were some teething issues initially, that were as always quickly fixed. The issue you seem to be having is unique to you it seems as i havent seen that error message before that i recal. It does however say, "Exception Info: System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception (5): Access is denied." so my guess would be permissions issues on your system, euther caused by specific folder/file permissions, or because a antivirus program has blocked/quarantined access to specific files/folders. Again though this is just a guess based on a error not designed for users to be able to easily understand, it will make sense to the deves, but not usually the common user.
  6. Launchbox itself will never create those files, and certainly not in that location, so something else has created them. Launchbox simply doesnt have the code to do what you are seeing. If its not coded to create those files there (which it's not) then it simply cant create them. Programs have to be coded to do things, if that code doesnt exist its impossible for it to do it.
  7. I'm betting you have used scraper, that will create them. Its a awful program that should never be touching other programs data files to do what it does.
  8. Just put the platform name in the search box to filter to just that platform only.
  9. Yeah we have seen Skraper cause havoc before. It should never be touching your data files like that, you can tell it not to in its options. We have had countless cases of Skraper outright corrupting .xml files. Use any outside program with Launchbox at your own risk.
  10. Well that is true of MAME in general, you shouldnt be updating the emulator if you are not also updating your romsets and bios files to match.
  11. Oh thats weird, it seems my nothing bird did a massive eagle call?
  12. sweet, im stelaing from you now, and forever.
  13. Thats not my point, Jason already know's my thoughts on this matter from previous discussions, but his mind is made up, and he wont be swayed on it, so its really a waste of your time trying to get changes here. The decision was made years ago, and it will stand.
  14. Again this is mute, the owner does not want to allow it, so end of story really. It doesnt really matter the legality's of it when the person who matters has made the decision, as it is totally within his rights to do so. Myself and the other forum and database moderators, dont have to agree, but we do have to enforce those wishes.
  15. Its not just that though, there are also the legal implications of hosting such content, that could be deemed to only be suitable for over 18's, and as we have no age gate here that could prove troublesome. And lots not forget that the images hosted here are not strictly speaking ours, i'm sure nintendo would have something to say if we were hosting images of a porno rom hack of Mario, with imagery of Mario doing Yoshi, im sure it would only be a matter of time before they issued a DMCA notice or worse. So a blanket rule is better than approving some while denying others, as much as i personally disagree. In my eyes you allow violent and sexual content, or you dont allow either at all. The US is a strange place though, and its for more socially acceptable to show graphically violent imagery than it is view ourselves in our completely natural form, but those are not my decisions to make.
  16. Unfortunately not, The rule is no sexual imagery period. While i do personally disagree with this rule and completely agree with you in regards to violent imagery being allowed while for less halmful imagery like nudity is not, it is what it is i'm afraid. Its Jasons website and program, and he makes the rules, and this is one he is defiant on, no sexual imagery.
  17. It still works, it just isnt updated. Also i assume he means he is streaming Bigbox to a shield as the Android version doesnt have Bigbox. I think he just wants a theme that looks like the Shield UI so it all looks seamless when streaming.
  18. They are PC games so just drag and drop the .exe or the shortcuts to Launchbox and choose the "None Of The Above" option in the wizard that starts.
  19. Change the dropdown at the top left of Launchbox to "Games Missing Media" and you will get several different sections below. You can also narrow by system by simply typing the system name into the search box.
  20. No, Launchbox has zero knowledge of what you deleted, thats sort of the point in deleting, if it knew then there would still be data for those games, so not technically deleted.
  21. Then open them and look inside, gameboy roms will not load in the virtualboy core, so you must have virtualboy roms not gameboy.
  22. If your roms open in the Virtual Boy core then they are Virtual Boy roms and not GB roms. The extension of Game Boy roms is .gb, Virtual Boy are .vb, what are yours?
  23. Also on this, there is nothing stopping you from moving the hacks after. So you can import them with the "scrape as" set correctly for the platform they are for, then after everything is imported you can go to Tools/Manage Platforms and create a new platform and name it what you like, say Hacks. You can then go by platform and highlight the hacks by holding CTRL and clicking on the games to move, then right click one and choose edit, this will open the bulk edit wizard, from here you can choose platform from the dropdown, and then when the second dropdown appears choose the Hacks platform to move all the highlighted games there.
  24. You can put them anywhere you like and can call the platform anything you like, but you cant mix different games from different platforms into one platform as Launchbox needs you to specify a platform at import. This is in fact what it uses to know what platform in our database to scrape the games against, again you can name the platform what you like, but when you type a non standard name you will then also be asked to specify a "Scrape As" this is so Launchbox can still scrape correctly, regardless of how you named the system, mixing games from several platforms into one Platform will never scrape correctly. That is your issue, your games have extra naming to them like your Ridge Racer example has 0007 - before the actual name, so Launchbox thinks those numbers are part of the game name, and then of course that doesnt match anything in our database. You need to remove those numbers from all your games, you can do that in bulk with a program like Bulk Rename Utility.
