I take it back the post has been deleted, i can see it because i have moderator status and can see deleted threads. I believe the user who uploaded them went around all the sites he was on deleting his accounts, so i am afraid they are gone now.

I have just tested this here, although i am on 9.8 beta 4, not 9.7, and it is combining games just fine like usual.

We do not offer support for 3rd party builds of Launchbox, as we do not know what is added/removed etc. You are better off asking in his discord.

Deleting the bigboxsettings.xml in the Launchbox/Data folder will set everything in Bigbox back to defaults at next launch.

You can turn this "Game Details Screen" off in the options. I believe the option is "Skip Game Details Screen" so it just launches into the game with your A button.

There is support for it on the database, but its a fairly new emulator that isnt ready for the masses yet so most people dont tend to bother with it, hence the lack of people uploading media to our database. All the more popular games should be available though.

You could try using the startup screens to hide it, but all games take a different length of time to build the shader cache, so you will never get it correct. It's just something you have to deal with in emulators that build a shader cache i'm afraid.

Also it's worth noting that Gamecube emulation isn't perfect either, its just the nature of emulators for 3D based systems.

Pinball Tables are not currently part of our database.

It's not really a case of getting it integrated into Launchbox though, Launchbox will work with any emulator that takes commandline inputs. If the emulator doesnt do that, like is the case here with Pheonix then its the emulator that needs changing in order to work with Launchbox. From reading some of the posts in this thread it seems like everything has to be done through the Pheonix UI only and nothing can be passed to it via commandline, so its a limitation of Pheonix rather than something that Launchbox can not do.

Your 9.6 update didnt complete, it was only 61MB, so it wouldnt run. so installing from a full 9.7 download obviously worked. Im guessing your internet went out mid download of 9.6.

The file size of the setup file you tried to install is way to small. The other screenshot for 9.7 shows the correct file size, does that one work?

Also i assume you are only importing the .cue file?

Make sure this box is checked. Also i dont know if this is a typo or not, but you said above those are named differently, there is a space between Disk and 2, but there isnt in Disk and 1.

They should be named like this.

Ill reply here as well, @Daz101 did PM me and we had a brief chat, his issue seems to be that it works when he installs it, but after a reboot it no longer loads. So i dont think its running in the background as it actually works until he reboots.

music, manuals and videos are options, but images are taken as a group.

Hmm OK, well i am at a bit of a loss here then i am afraid. The only thing i can do now is let @Jason Carr the Launchbox developer investigate a little more, he wont be around for few more hours as he is US based, but ill make sure he see's this thread. So if you can just be a little patient until then that would be appreciated, and thanks for bearing with us and trying the steps we requested.

OK can you try one last thing for me please? Can you cut and paste your entire Data folder from the Launchbox folder out of it temporarily and try opening Launchbox, i just want to check that something from your data isnt causing the issue. Launchbox should open with default settings and no platforms/games in it. You can just move it back after testing it.

Hmm OK all the .dll's look present and correct as they match up with my working 9.7. However i do see a couple of extra files there that i do not have in my build. The Scumm181 and the Sync78. Could you humour me and move those two files out of there to the desktop an try opening Launchbox after, you can just copy them back after it it doesnt make any difference.

Yeah it shouldnt, but the fact that it works after a install once or twice then doesnt, makes me think files are missing, and the fact that rolling back to a older version works, but then when it updates it stops working again.

That is just how the MAME devs do genres, and we use the MAME data in order to import MAME correctly.

That is why i am thinking its a antivirus issue. Obviously version 9.7 is the newest version and has only been out a few days, so antivirus may not recognise it and deleting some files, a older version would likely not have that issue as its been out in the wild a lot longer and will be installed on a lot of machines so the antivirus knows it is safe at that point.
