lol, i dont mean any disrespect here, but you are worried about having to name all your images for your specific use case, so you want the creator to do it for you for a use case he doesnt have? After all these are using the Launchbox naming scheme, as they are uploaded to the Launchbox forums, of course Launchbox will accept the MAME naming scheme as well, but the creator/uploader is a Launchbox user and did upload them to the Launchbox forums with the Launchbox naming scheme, he cant really be expected to cater to other naming schemes used by other frontends, when these are hosted on the Launchbox forums and intended for use with this frontend.

More information would be helpful, like what zip format, for what platform and what are the file types in the archive, what emulator, and what is giving the error, Launchbox or the emulator. Just saying "my game doesnt work" wont help people to troubleshoot it.

Hi, have you added your neo geo cd platform to the associated platform section on retroarch? If it is a separate platform to your neo geo then you need to list it there and then add the core for it.

I dont know what VBAM is, but try adding this to the ahk tab for the emulator. ; This section closes Demul when pressing Escape $Esc:: { Process, Close, {{{StartupEXE}}} } So that it looks like this.

What you have in your bigbox image looks correct to me you have to hold button 7 then press button 8 to exit, all this actually does is send the escape key to the emulator, so if the emulator you are testing on doesnt support closing with escape you may need extra steps. What emulator are you testing this on?

Is it a real xbox 360 controller? Is it the controller selected in Launchbox/Bigbox? What buttons are you trying to use for automation? Some screenshots of those screens you mention would help also as the xbox 360 controller 100% works with Launchbox/Bigbox.

Thanks for helping with the database. You are correct in that there is a lag, the actual database is updated every 24 hours, so approved content is not immediately available to users. Also Launchbox itself will only look for a new metadata database file every 24 hours also. So if you have already downloaded a new metadata set in Launchbox today, it wont check for anything newer until tomorrow.

Any button will exit the video, but only if Bigbox is loaded in the background, if Bigbox is still loading the video cant be skipped until its ready.

No need to re-import, just change the "scrape as" to Arcade in the section i mentioned, then click on that platform in the sidebar, click on a game then CTRL A to highlite all the games in the platform, then Tools/Update metadata/images, and it will just scrape the selected games.

You should just set the "scrape as" to arcade under Tools/Manage Platforms/Name of Platform.

That is not a standalone theme, its a addon pack for Unified Refried, so you need that first.

The actual roms on a NAS should be fine,lots of people do that. As for the actual program being on the NAS as well i cant speak to that but i can see it being slower as Launchbox is retrieving a lot of data and images all the time. I have never heard of anyone saying that it takes 20-30 minutes to load though, that seems very very excessive, even if running over the network.

As to the cores all being the same, not in any way shape or form, you need to know what romset you have and use the matching core for it, otherwise you will likely find games that should work dont.

I see your issue, you have 3 L's in dll. You must be using a real old version of Launchbox there, typing in the cores hasnt been needed for a long time, they are just dropdowns now.

Are you calling the correct core in Launchbox, i see its set to the 2016 core.

Retroarch wont do it, i was just checking you didnt have Launchbox extracting zips that shouldnt be.

Do you have retroarch set to unzip roms? Because if so thats the issue, MAME needs a zip file.

Do you have the correct core selected in the associated platform tab for retroarch? There are two Beetle/Mednafen cores, a standard and a HW. Could it be you are using HW core directly in Retroarch and the standard in Launchbox, the standard one is the default in Launchbox.

Its in the theme already.

If your roms are not in the Launchbox folder, which i'm guessing they are not you need to tell Launchbox were they are. Tools/Manage Platforms/Name of the Platform/Folders tab, under the game section browse to the location of your roms.
