What sort of storage are you using? as that could also be a bottleneck with all the loading of images and such Bigbox does, then retroarch and its UI, then the actual core as well as windows, there is a lot of reads/writes happening there.

You need to tell the games to use the new emulator now. Click one of the games then CTRL A to highlite them all in that platform, right click one and edit, this will open the bulk edit wizard, in the first dropdown choose emulator, then in the second that appears after the emulator you now want to use, finish out the wizard and start a game.

Yep, that's totally possible. Just as you say name it differently then set it up with associated platforms like usual.

The CHD set is on there,but it is huge, its like 550GB in size.

The CPS3 games NEED the CHD's in order to run, the green you are getting is because your rom's are correct, but they will not run unless you have the CHD also. This is because these are later releases and are larger in size than the older games, so the main data was basically on a CD or HDD, those files are compressed to the CHD format to save some space. I believe one of the Street Fighter 3 games has a nocd version as well, but the others will NEED the CHD and the regular rom file in order to run.

Those are for use with retropi and like systems so are probably very old and need a specific version of MAME/FBA to run.

We would need more information than that if you want any help here im afraid. Like what romset are the roms from, what emulator are you trying to use, do you have the bios files, do they work in just the emulator?

The actual Platform name you use in Launchbox needs to match the naming of the images in the theme, its not the "scrape as" that themes take the platform from, (i'm not even sure if this information is available to themes at all) So if the theme is expecting "Commodore Amiga CD 32" but your platform is named differently the art wont show. Case also matters in the naming as well.

You dont do that, you put in the associated platform tab of your retroarch entry what core to use per platform, so for snes for example i pick higan from the dropdown menu. Now all my snes games open with higan, couldnt be any simpler than that really.

Yes, the fullset importer will ask you for your rom folder. You will also need to tell MAME itself the new location also.

Also uncheck all the media downloads as you already have 99% of it.

Just re-run the MAME fullset importer under Tools/Import MAME fullset.

Yeah thats fair enough then if you already pair it with another device in that mode.

I use mine in switch mode, windows recognizes it as a Switch Pro controller, as does Retroarch.

I also backup my Game Shortcuts folder to one drive and google drive, so if i need to format i can get them back, as i currently do not install any games to my C drive.

The problem there is many games have more than one .exe they may have a 32 and 64bit one as well as directx installs or anticheat software, so you would get a lot of non games added if you just scraped a drive for .exe's. What i do is just have a folder on my desktop where i drop all my shortcuts.

You can just drag and drop the .exe or shortcuts onto the Launchbox window, then when the wizard opens you choose the "None Of The Above" option which doesnt associate them with a emulator.

All the images are available without a premium account there, just need to login in Launchbox with your credentials, but the Videos, Manuals and i think Music all require the paid Emumovies account.

You do need a emumovies premium account to download the videos from within Launchbox. You can get the lower quality ones direct from there website, but you have a download speed cap as well as a daily GB download cap.

Im sort of sad to see them go, as they are what i used for a long time, as @Robin55 knows, so thanks for all the hard work there, it really was appreciated. I have to say though, i'm now using @Mr. RetroLust ones instead, so if they are available on the database then thats great.
