  1. EDIT: lol, you posted at the same time as me. Glad you figured it out.
  2. Is your monitor running at 30hz rather than 60hz? this can happen sometimes with a new OS install so your games could be running at half speed and therefore the sound will run slow also.
  3. Launchbox has absolutely zero input on your audio settings, so that would be a waste of time.
  4. Standard debit cards also work, which come with basically every bank account on earth.
  5. Close Launchbox/Bigbox navigate to Launchbox/Themes/Default and delete the themesettings.xml there and try starting Bigbox.
  6. From the thread ill link below, Golden Tee Fore! is one of those romless games which are made up of a bios file and a chd - there is no conventional game rom. The game's rom name as MAME's internal database reads it is actually the name of the folder holding the CHD file. This type of game works fine when run directly from MAME, MAMEUI etc., but LB has an issue as there is no game rom as such to point to. You can't point LB to a folder name Your game consists of a bios file (iteagle.zip) and a chd file. I don't know which CHD you have as you didn't specify which version of the game you are using. Use Notepad to make an empty text file named the same as the game's CHD folder. Make sure you use the folder's name not the chd file's name, as sometimes these are different. Next either rename it's extension to ZIP or just send it to a ZIP. You now have a ZIP file with the same name as your game's CHD folder. Put this in with your MAME roms and point LBox to it. Your game should launch fine now.
  7. Did you move your emulator? Either go to Tools/Manage emulators and make sure it is pointing at the correct location. If it is then click a MAME game then ctrl A to high lite them all, then ctrl E to open the bulk edit wizard, in the first dropdown choose emulator, and in the second your MAME entry.
  8. Launchbox doesnt care what set you have, it doesnt even technically import them, it just knows what games work from the metadata and tells MAME to load whatever game you pick, and as long as MAME knows where your games are it will launch it. MAME can obviously handle any set type so it doesnt matter.
  9. You will need to run the fullset importer once you have the new metadata, it will then add any games added this month (or remove games that did work but are now marked as not working this month, if any).
  10. It doesnt automatically update the metadata on launch, only when you initiate something that needs metadata like adding or editing games.
  11. OK the metadata is updated, so as long as Launchbox hasnt updated your metadata in the last 24 hours it will be available for download. Launchbox only checks for updated metadata once every 24 hours so you may have to wait if you already updated today.
  12. Jason is usually pretty quick with it once he is able to get the new info he needs and adds it to the MAME metadata pack. Ill poke him in private and remind him the new version is out and ill post back here when the new metadata is available for download.
  13. Thats the newest we have, it should work just fine for most of the games still though.
  14. Once the new metadata is added to Launchbox just run the fullset importer again and uncheck all media downloads, it will add any games added to 0.207. Then you can run the metadata and image wizard on all your arcade games and choose the option to only update games without metadata/images.
  15. Here is the guide i use every month to update my romset correctly.
  16. You will need to use a rom manager program like crlmamepro first to update your romset to 0.207 correctly. Then you can just run the mame fullset importer again, however as 0.207 only released today the new info is not in Launchbox yet, so if you were to do it now you would still have the same games as you do now. The updated metadata should be in Launchbox within a few days.
  17. As long as you got it from us its a false positive.
  18. Are steam videos not in webm format? You may need a codec pack to play them.
  19. Then you want different videos, as linked on the theme download page.
  20. Tools/Manage Platforms/Name of Platform, then click the folders tab and browse to your game folder. Yes.
  21. https://forums.launchbox-app.com/files/category/14-platform-clear-logos/
  22. Have you just tried setting your e reader program as a emulator and importing your ebooks as roms associated with that emulator? That should work just fine as long as your ebook reader supports opening files via commandline. Of course you wont get any metadata or images for ebooks though.
  23. For the scan for added roms, if your roms are not in the Launchbox folder you will need to specify the folder and then they will scan just fine. As for the metadata and image wizard that actually uses slightly different logic to that in the edit screen, the metadata and image wizard and the importer wizard are more strict in the naming so that you dont end up with possibly hundreds of mismatched games imported when you add a platform, the edit screen uses fuzzier matching to try and find a match. If your roms are named relatively correctly though then either way should find matches as long as they are in our database, of course if those games are named incorrectly or badly then it is much more difficult to match them to games in our database (if they are in our database).
  24. That is just the nature of new in development emulators, it's very very far from perfect, a lot of games simply do not run at all well. The compatibility guide saying it is "playable" means nothing, 1 frame per second is "technically" playable, but of course you wouldnt play it at that speed. Also 8GB of ram could also be limiting you, i have seen Zelda breath of the wild using 13GB by itself.
