  1. In Launchbox go to Tools/Manage emulators and double click your retroarch entry. Click the Associated platform tab scroll to the bottom empty box and type in the name of the system, it needs to EXACTLY match what you called it in Launchbox. Then double click the core box next to it and choose the core from the dropdown. It should look somewhat like this.
  2. The unified refried theme has a view similar to what you are describing, here is a shot of it on my system.
  3. ??? those are the controls, they wont sometimes work and not others. That is how you download the core.
  4. That is a old tutorial and Retroarch has changed the buttons now, its enter and backspace for select and back. You need to go to online updater/core updater and click on the core you want, i recommend genesis plus gx.
  5. OK have you actually downloaded the core you want to use? Retroarch calls there emulators "cores" and it doesnt come with any, you need to download them from the retroarch UI.
  6. Are you using retroarch as the emulator?
  7. Ill let Jason reply to this more definitively when he is around, but no you will not be able to sell machines with your license on it. If you were to sell these machines the buyer would need to buy and supply there own license. As for including roms with the machine and charging money for it that is hugely illegal and not something Launchbox would want to be associated with to be honest with you. Ill let Jason speak more officially and definitively though, so i will make sure that he see's this thread when he is around later today.

    Not Updating

Yeah thats why i do not have background downloads on as its difficult to know if its actually downloading a update until you get the prompt. You could look in your Launchbox/Updates folder and see if its in there and still downloading. I see you have betas turned on also so the newest version will be 9.6 beta 2.

Do you have background downloads enabled? If so just wait and it will prompt you when ready to install. Or you can turn off background downloads and close and re-open Launchbox and that will prompt straight away, although you will have to wait for the download that way.
  10. It could be because you have it in your program files folder, try it somewhere else. Program files is a lot more locked down than other locations on your PC.
  11. Its also possible Retroarch isnt setup correctly, or its not calling the correct core, or the associated platform isnt correct. All number of potential reasons really. So could you be more descriptive than "it didn't load up at all".
  12. Yeah im at a bit of a loss here then, i have never used fba personally so i really dont no if it needs any additional settings or not. It's possible it needs a specific commandline or different boxes checked/unchecked in the manage emulators screen. Also i assume the games work directly in fba without going through Launchbox? Have you tried using the fba core in retroarch at all?
  13. Well thats a different path than the error you are getting, the error says Launchbox/Games/A, where as the actual game says Launchbox/Games/Arcade, which is correct?
  14. Can you show the edit screen for it, like this.
  15. Yeah, that clearly says that it is trying to load a game called "A" there is no such game so that aint gonna work. FBA uses mame roms which are zipped and have a short name for the file.

Then your games are not using that emulator, the default checkbox is for imports only. Click a game then ctrl A to highlite them all, ctrl E to open the bulk edit wizard, choose emulator in the first dropdown, then the one you want to change to in the second.
  17. It works fine, if it is not for you then you are doing something wrong.
  18. Controller automation works with any emulator you have added to Launchbox. You just need to add that script in this case as not all emulators will close correctly.
  19. Nope, the controller automation in Bigbox sends the escape key to exit emulators, that AHK scrips will therefore send escape to epcsxe when you exit with your controller automation.
  20. Paste this into the Auto Hotkey tab under manage emulators. ; This section closes Demul when pressing Escape $Esc:: { Process, Close, {{{StartupEXE}}} }
  21. If these image descriptions are not good enough for you then i dont know what to tell you, they say EXACTLY what the image type is.
