  1. Have you just tried setting your e reader program as a emulator and importing your ebooks as roms associated with that emulator? That should work just fine as long as your ebook reader supports opening files via commandline. Of course you wont get any metadata or images for ebooks though.
  2. For the scan for added roms, if your roms are not in the Launchbox folder you will need to specify the folder and then they will scan just fine. As for the metadata and image wizard that actually uses slightly different logic to that in the edit screen, the metadata and image wizard and the importer wizard are more strict in the naming so that you dont end up with possibly hundreds of mismatched games imported when you add a platform, the edit screen uses fuzzier matching to try and find a match. If your roms are named relatively correctly though then either way should find matches as long as they are in our database, of course if those games are named incorrectly or badly then it is much more difficult to match them to games in our database (if they are in our database).
  3. That is just the nature of new in development emulators, it's very very far from perfect, a lot of games simply do not run at all well. The compatibility guide saying it is "playable" means nothing, 1 frame per second is "technically" playable, but of course you wouldnt play it at that speed. Also 8GB of ram could also be limiting you, i have seen Zelda breath of the wild using 13GB by itself.
  4. Operation Flashpoint isnt niche, that was very popular at the time. It is made by the same people who went on to make the ArmA games.
  5. They are possibly just the same games but from different regions, so have been merged with another game maybe?
  6. lol, glad i could help you find a small part of your youth.
  7. Hi @Piccione69, unfortunately this means that somehow you're using a pirated license. Would you mind sharing where you got the license?
  8. If i recall as i dont use music myself, i think they go in Music/Background/Platform or Playlist/name of platform or playlist.
  9. I use redream standalone, great and simple emu, just needs support for the WindowsCE games.
  10. Yeah, as the arcade games use MAME roms you need the "use file name only" box checked. Thats why i said two different demuls pointing at the same .exe, you need different settings for both, so if you are using the same demul entry you were originally using for Dreamcast that wont work for Arcade games. You will just get the list of games to run, as the filename.zip was not passed to demul.
  11. Notice the different check boxes for Dreamcast (demul) and the Arcade games (demul arcade).
  12. You need to set a different demul emulator in Launchbox. It can use the same .exe but you need to name it slightly differently, like "Demul Arcade" or something. Dreamcast and Arcade games need different emulator settings in Launchbox, so if you are using the same demul entry for Dreamcast and Arcade that wont work and you will get the Arcade game list instead.
  13. The info files are not the cores, have you actually downloaded any cores from Options/Online updater/core updater?
  14. You probably need to switch view, remember the wii u has two screens, the TV and the gamepad.
  15. Cool, yeah the associated platform should always exactly match what the platform is called in Launchbox, otherwise it doesnt know to use that core.
  16. If people buying pre-loaded PC's come here looking for support they will get none. That is highly illegal and this is a legitimate business. They would have to contact the shady person they bought there illegal box from for support. Auto updates are enabled for a reason, to make sure people are on the most up to date and bug free version of the software. 99% of people want updates to there software that improves said software, especially if they "have paid" for it. Updates can be easily disabled in the options if you do not want to auto update. Also change logs for updates are always available here if you want to know what is in a update before you actually update. https://www.launchbox-app.com/about/changelog
  17. Is your platform actually called MAME in Launchbox, or is it Arcade? If its Arcade you need to add that in the associated platforms and not the MAME you currently have there.
  18. The issue here is though that the update did not break the program like you say, the program still works just fine and has had new features, feature improvements and bug fixes included in it with the update. What has happened is the "user created" theme you was using needed updating, it has been and is available for download. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the program update, but a again "user created" theme that you use. It is not on the program dev to make sure that any user created themes or plugins are still working, they are unofficial and not officially supported by the dev or moderators here, do you blame microsoft when a poorly coded program you download from a random part of the internet doesnt work correctly on your Windows machine? Any troubleshooting related to themes or plugins and the like should be directed to the authors of those "user created" themes and plugins.
  19. Yes, and remember to go to options/image cache and refresh platform images in Bigbox after adding them.
  20. Launchbox/Themes/Unified Refried/Images/Platforms/Clear Logo.
  21. There was a issue for some people with 9.4 as the VLC component of the program was updated and some people had issues upgrading, this was hopefully one of the things fixed in the 9.5 bug fix release, but you may still have issues from the previous 9.4 upgrade. Close Launchbox go to the install folder and delete the VLC folder. Restart Launchbox and it will re-create that VLC folder, hopefully that will fix your issue. If not please post back.
  22. Unfortunately i dont have a list of themes that include this, but yes those things need to be specifically coded by the theme authors. This is why not every theme has them, its often a aesthetic choice by the creator to keep the views clean and not look too cluttered.
  23. Also just to add, this is always a risk when using user created content, as that theme is. If/when changes are made to the program that would effect something like themes then the official themes that come with the program will of course be altered/updated so they continue to work as intended. However the dev can not guarantee this for user created content that he has no hand in creating. This is simply a risk you take with user created content with any program or platform i'm afraid.
  24. This theme was updated on Monday and now works with the newest version of lanchbox, it's a simple case of deleting your current version and adding the new one, simples.
