  1. Notice the different check boxes for Dreamcast (demul) and the Arcade games (demul arcade).
  2. You need to set a different demul emulator in Launchbox. It can use the same .exe but you need to name it slightly differently, like "Demul Arcade" or something. Dreamcast and Arcade games need different emulator settings in Launchbox, so if you are using the same demul entry for Dreamcast and Arcade that wont work and you will get the Arcade game list instead.
  3. The info files are not the cores, have you actually downloaded any cores from Options/Online updater/core updater?
  4. You probably need to switch view, remember the wii u has two screens, the TV and the gamepad.
  5. Cool, yeah the associated platform should always exactly match what the platform is called in Launchbox, otherwise it doesnt know to use that core.
  6. If people buying pre-loaded PC's come here looking for support they will get none. That is highly illegal and this is a legitimate business. They would have to contact the shady person they bought there illegal box from for support. Auto updates are enabled for a reason, to make sure people are on the most up to date and bug free version of the software. 99% of people want updates to there software that improves said software, especially if they "have paid" for it. Updates can be easily disabled in the options if you do not want to auto update. Also change logs for updates are always available here if you want to know what is in a update before you actually update. https://www.launchbox-app.com/about/changelog
  7. Is your platform actually called MAME in Launchbox, or is it Arcade? If its Arcade you need to add that in the associated platforms and not the MAME you currently have there.
  8. The issue here is though that the update did not break the program like you say, the program still works just fine and has had new features, feature improvements and bug fixes included in it with the update. What has happened is the "user created" theme you was using needed updating, it has been and is available for download. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the program update, but a again "user created" theme that you use. It is not on the program dev to make sure that any user created themes or plugins are still working, they are unofficial and not officially supported by the dev or moderators here, do you blame microsoft when a poorly coded program you download from a random part of the internet doesnt work correctly on your Windows machine? Any troubleshooting related to themes or plugins and the like should be directed to the authors of those "user created" themes and plugins.
  9. Yes, and remember to go to options/image cache and refresh platform images in Bigbox after adding them.
  10. Launchbox/Themes/Unified Refried/Images/Platforms/Clear Logo.
  11. There was a issue for some people with 9.4 as the VLC component of the program was updated and some people had issues upgrading, this was hopefully one of the things fixed in the 9.5 bug fix release, but you may still have issues from the previous 9.4 upgrade. Close Launchbox go to the install folder and delete the VLC folder. Restart Launchbox and it will re-create that VLC folder, hopefully that will fix your issue. If not please post back.
  12. Unfortunately i dont have a list of themes that include this, but yes those things need to be specifically coded by the theme authors. This is why not every theme has them, its often a aesthetic choice by the creator to keep the views clean and not look too cluttered.
  13. Also just to add, this is always a risk when using user created content, as that theme is. If/when changes are made to the program that would effect something like themes then the official themes that come with the program will of course be altered/updated so they continue to work as intended. However the dev can not guarantee this for user created content that he has no hand in creating. This is simply a risk you take with user created content with any program or platform i'm afraid.
  14. This theme was updated on Monday and now works with the newest version of lanchbox, it's a simple case of deleting your current version and adding the new one, simples.

    Android Port

There has not been any active development on a Android version, it's still a possibility at some point but that would be a way's away, if at all.
  16. The only one that will allow you to play more games is demul, the dreamcast emulator. Naomi was a arcade platform based off of dreamcast hardware, that is included in MAME (you need CHD's also for a lot of them) but only a handfull if that actually run in MAME. You will deed to use a dreamcast emulator to play them, and demul is the best one for naomi/sammy atomiswave/cave games.
  17. Yup, as they are for many many Windows programs. I am surprised you haven't run into problems with other programs as well if you do not have up to date .NET or DirectX library's

    MAME crashing

Yup thats what i was saying, there was a change recently to the neo geo bios and the qsound bios, so keeping inline is generally good practice as the current version of MAME will be looking for those new bios structures, not the older structure from a older set. So those are the sort of issues i was referring to.

    MAME crashing

If your romset is 0.201 then you should use 0.201 of the MAME emulator. Using a version not for your romset can cause issues and games that should work may not.
  20. OK to start this has absolutely zero to do with Launchbox, Launchbox has no interaction with emulators like that, so it's a retroarch issue. My guess is that you messed with the interger and screen position options in the menu when running that core, or are using a shader/bezel that is overriding the default screen position.
  21. Not by platform, but by emulator. There is a startup tab in the manage emulator settings now with some extra settings.
  22. Can you check that your antivirus is not blocking the install?
  23. You are using version 9.5 right? because that has no issues installing on Windows 10, in fact its our recommended OS as it supports the new .NET which we use out of the box. I just tested installing a fresh version myself here, im using the latest insider build of Windows 10 as of 16/02/2018 so its a build i only installed two days ago so is a very new build, and Launchbox installed just fine as expected. Here is a video of me installing it. 2019-02-18 11-11-20.mp4
  24. The scan for new games scans in your Launchbox folder by default. If you have your roms elsewhere you need to tell Launchbox where they are and it will then remember to scan that folder. To be honest i have never used the scan for added roms feature, i just added what i wanted originally, and if i need to add something new i just drag and drop the files onto the launchbox window.
  25. Here is a example, in this i am removing the (USA) in the roms name. so you can see in the lower highlighted red box i have put (USA) and in the replace box left it blank. Then in the top red highlighted box you can see the original name and then what it will change to if i confirm it.
