  1. Actually looking at your image again i just noticed that you are using the old version of Launchbox, so old by the looks of it that it doesnt have the feature that im telling you to do in it. Sorry about that.
  2. Yeah, all i did was add another "Super Nintendo Entertainment System" entry like you have in your image and i now get the choice of which core to use in the right click launch with menu. As you can see in this image i have highlighted my current entry, then you can see i have added a new one for snes9x at the bottom. Try clicking to another platform first then coming back to it.
  3. You can simply go to Tools/Manage Emulators double click Retroarch and go to the associated platform tab, scroll to the bottom and just add another entry with the same system name but with the different core set, then you can right click a game go to launch with/retroarch/name of core. Like this.Alternatively you can right click a game and go to edit then the emulation tab and check the box for command line and add the command for loading another core there and it will work for just that game.

OK, well your issue there is that 16GB is nowhere near a full MAME romset, it looks like you have a handpicked collection of roms so you shouldnt be using the fullset importer, that is stictly for a fullset. So its likely the games that are not loading you dont actually have. Also you will need to no what romset version your roms are from, and use the matching version of the emulator or they likely wont work. Also also, depending on the type of roms you actually have (there are 3 types, merged, non-merged and split) you may not have the required bios files to run those games. Also another thing have you told MAME where your roms are stored as it needs to know this in order to load them. There are lots of potential issues here as to why they dont load.

Launchbox doesnt download any roms, you have to supply them yourself.
  6. Hmm, thats a interesting question that i havent ever seen asked before so actually have no idea as to the answer to your question im afraid. Obviously a yearly license granted you to updates for a year and that has now expired so you are no longer entitled to any updates, but you could of course of downloaded updates up to two weeks ago, but now you cant, hmmm. I have passed this thread onto @Jason Carr who will be able to provide you with a official response and stance on this, unfortunately im unable to speculate on business issues as its none of mine.
  7. I have never seen that before, what was you doing at the time?
  8. Most of, if not all of those are not specifically systems, they are variations of the same hardware. and things like Nintendo Game Boy Advance (e-Cards) arent systems at all.
  9. In my setup its been imported under the Japanese name for some reason, Kyukyoku Sentai Dadandarn. So find that game and right click and go to edit and rename it, then go to the additional apps tab in the same window and click on the (ver EAA) version to highlight it and click the make default button to make sure that is the default version that loads.
  10. Soul Caliber at 4K. Click to enlarge.
  11. Sorry missed your other post while i was replying, yes i have premium and the upscaling looks great, im running at 4K on a 55inch 4K TV and games look great.
  12. The games will need to be in there own folder, just highlight them all and right click and 7zip and choose the "extact to"*\" that will unzip them to folders with the same name as the zip. Yeah a .gdi is like a cue file, so that zip i gave you will just look in the folders at the .gdi, get the info for the tracks and such and compress it all into a CHD with the same name. It saves a lot of space and works in both redream and demul. I have 341 Dreamcast games and compressed them down to 135GB.
  13. I just tested disc swapping by loading disc 2 of shenmue and starting a new game, it told me i need disc 1 for a new game so i simply pressed the guide button to open the UI and selected the 1st disc, which promptly loaded. So as long as the game saves before a disc change, which i assume it would it should be fine.
  14. Cue_or_GDI_to_CHD.7z Unzip those 2 files into your Dreamcast roms folder and run the bat, it will create a chd of all the games in a the folder, and will leave the originals as well for safety, once you are happy that the chd's work OK you can delete the old files, i believe that your games need to all be unzipped first though. As for disc swapping i havent got that far into any games to see myself, but you can bring up the redream UI with the guide button, so im guessing you just pull that up and select the other disc. You would need to give redream your rompath in the UI so it can scan your games folder.
  15. I have my Dreamcast games as CHD also but i use Redream standalone for everything except the WindowsCE games as they are currently not compatible. Redream is actually a very good emulator and i much prefer it over demul these days.
  16. Yep what @Retro808 said. Also to add you can add those playlists to the platform list in Launchbox, so they will show up with your other platforms without having to switch to playlists or changing your startup view. There is a lot of flexibility there in how they are displayed.
  17. Hi and welcome to the community, There is a option in the emulators own UI to start in fullscreen. As for exiting add this script to the AHK tab in the manage emulator screen. $Esc:: { Process, Close, {{{StartupEXE}}} }
  18. lol, glad you worked it out.
  19. If you uncheck this box in the image below during import it should then import the exact number of games that you have, all into separate entry's. Personally i dont like to do this as it clutters up the look for me so i prefer to combine matching games, but the option is there for people who want it that way.
  20. Hi and welcome to the community. This isnt actually possible the way you describe it, Bigbox uses the exact same .xml files as Launchbox does so its technically impossible for Bigbox to show platforms that you dont have imported. What platforms do you think are showing in Bigbox that you say you dont have?
  21. Sorry im not quite sure what you mean there by save a platform, you just import roms pick a platform and tell it what emulator to use. You mention Fighting, Flying etc so im guessing this is for MAME and those are playlists not platforms, but i still dont quite understand what you mean there, can you elaborate a bit on what you mean by "turn back to generic".
  22. Launchbox doesnt "accept or deny" any games, it simply imports everything in the folder if you choose to import a folder, of if you choose to import files instead and highlight all the files it will again import everything you highlighted. The only thing i can think of is it has consolidated games with the same names into one entry which is a option in the import wizard, and is checked by default. So if you have several versions of the same game, say a revision 1 and revision 2, or the same game as a tape and a disk they will be imported as one game. Try right clicking on a few games and see if there is a option to launch a different version of it in that right click menu.
  23. And of course this is assuming you set a button combo in controller automation, as that is what will send the escape command.
  24. You need to go to options/controller automation and set a exit combo there.
  25. You will have the MAME software list sets there if it is that size, so you will have a lot of disc based console systems. The biggest packs for just MAME would be a non-megerd set and the matching CHD set which will be around 500GB in total.
